Lainey and Ms.Q, I understand where you are coming from - and after being on SOC where the LnLers are trying to pick through everything with a fine tooth comb, I've seen all the arguments.
Things that emerge for me, however...
- Luke didn't try to touch, hug, pat, stroke or cuddle Laura at any point during her obvious upset with the exception of that one last kiss. There was no effort to comfort her with anything.
- Luke at no point said Tracy wasn't important to him, didn't say the marriage was over now that Laura was awake, didn't say Laura was second to no one. All he said is Laura had a special place in his heart - as she should after 30 years and being the mother of his children.
- Luke told her the truth, softly but fully. They didn't fall in love right away, it did surprise both of them, he does have strong feelings for Tracy - we know it's love, Luke knows it's love, even Laura knows it's love. She told Luke right at the start she didn't want to hear about his relationship to Tracy, so that's what he respected in his discourse.
- When Laura said Luke chased her, he made very quick statement that no, he was chasing Scott who was driving like a madman. If it was going to be a reunion we would have heard something obnoxious about 'I'll chase you forever' or some such drivel - we heard nothing even remotely like that.
- So far we have had one week of LuNacy getting back home and finding out the situation with Lulu/Laura. This second week we've had Luke telling Laura the truth and the two of them accept that their marriage is over. No one expects the love to be gone. Coming Monday is week three where Luke returns to Tracy (and I really pray they do as much with that reunion as they did with LnL's ending) and then Tracy/Laura tangle. We aren't even half way through this story yet. Even after Laura leaves the story continues to unfold.
- We've got articles where TG talks about his motivation. We've got articles where GF and KS talk about how much they and their characters mean to each other. We've got a promo where Luke stands next to Tracy when Tracy and Laura come face to face. We've got Lulu pimping the hell out of LuNacy now (come on, that has to have taken all of us by surprise).
- Luke doesn't choose Laura - or else he would have done it this week and it would all be over.

I haven't watched yet, but I thought today was the day that Luke was supposed to tell her that he loved Tracy.
I don't feel sorry for the LnL fans. They have tried to ruin every special moment that we've gotten between LuNacy.

Laura Decides Luke's Fate
TG says that Luke has made his choice and that's what Laura comes to understand. Laura comes and goes and comes and goes out of his life.
During all of that coming and going, Luke has remarried Tracy and built a life with her. TG says it's a totally different relationship. He says you can love more than one person at a time, but you can't live with more than one person at a time. And as much as the audience wants L&L to stay frozen in time, it's impossible to do that and have it be anything but unrealistic.
Laura comes to the same conclusion after fighting with Tracy. GF says she got to do some work with JE and their scenes are prime to be the best catfight ever.
The fight helps Laura make her choice. TG says that they'll always love one another, but they don't necessarily have to be together anymore. He says it's what happens to people that mature. It's not the same relationship it was 30 years ago, a teenage, obsessive love affair. It's a mature love that's evolved with adulthood. Life doesn't stand still for people. They've acknowledged in the story that people's priorities change and life and people, in general, change. He thinks it's great because he can't see Luke dropping whatever his life is to accommodating Laura everytime she comes and goes and comes and goes.
GF says that shouldn't mean fans should worry that Laura will slip back into her coma, we've seen that before.
TG says they part lovingly and Laura goes to France for treatment.
GF says they leave the situation entirely pregnant and there's plenty of story to carry on with.

Um.. yeah. Why IS she there?
All of us here think it's because Luke and Tracy are really in love and really connected... yet that's not what I have seen playing out these last few weeks. I see a bunch of guffaws and yuck yucks. We don't see two people deeply in love, like what existed at the b&w ball. Without that connection, I don't understand her presence.
I want to understand it... but I don't.
If Luke really chooses Laura, and LAURA tells him no..

Supposedly the promo before the show said Luke makes a final decision about Laura...
What is going to suck is we will think Luke is choosing Tracy, but in the end he wants to go with Laura but she tells him no. So then what--Tracy ends up looking like the booby prize? I wonder if she will know that Luke was about to hop on the plane with Laura...
Do we know WHY Luke tells Laura he wants to go with her? Maybe he offers to go with her to make sure she's alright.

Get your dialing and writing fingers to work!
Remember folks, we should do more than just call or write when Luke and Tracy are not on, we should call and write, when they ARE on, saying that we are thrilled to see them, and that they were great that day. I especially say this since the spoiler/Spumor(?) about about Luke choosing Tracy over Laura has circulated and you can bet your bottom dollar that the LnL fans have been calling and writing TPTB like it's the end of the world.

- Luke and Laura discuss the future after having it out about Luke's marriage to Tracy. Laura has plenty to say to Tracy, too.
- Laura and Scott end up in a car balanced precariously on the tip of a cliff. Scott is rescued, but Luke and Laura go over the cliff while in the car.

LOVED LOVED LOVED Luke's ILY today!! Our girl looked beautiful! Her hair looks so much better than it had been these last few episodes (see what a crash landing can do for her hair? - hee). So she's got the same teal jacket on but she looked FABU!!! LOVED that Tracy was neither too vulnerable nor screaching at Luke when she spoke to him about the choice he needed to make. She was firm and without desperation in her voice. LOVED her expressions with Luke also! Her smile is just so fantastic, ain't it?
I thought they were soooooo sexy today, and they didn't need to touch or throw inuendo, they just were.... and it was SEXY!!0 -

A Closer Look: Luke
Luke “borrows” a taxi when he sees Scott drive off with Laura.
She gives him a hard slap and says “how dare you!” Laura has found out from Scott that Luke is married to Tracy and was married to her when they remarried two years ago. She marches off to a canyon and they end up in a cabin.
SOW notes that Laura makes Luke sleep outside before she’s willing to talk to him.
When they finally do talk Luke is very direct with her because he loves her enough to tell her the truth. He tells her what the doctors told him about having a limited amount of time with her and she wanted to remarry him. Rather than wasting that little time they had, he wanted to give her what she wanted. He loves her enough to be honest. He’s not a weasel. He’s not a man who doesn’t know what he wants. He tells her he’s married to Tracy and has feelings for her. He’s very honest with her.
SOW notes Laura’s reaction is to give him an ultimatum, choose between her or Tracy, right?
TG says more or less. Laura asks him if he loves Tracy and he’s say yes. He’s married to Tracy, he’s not married to her. If you recall the story, Laura divorced him. Luke has worked very hard to get on with his life.

I called the fan line too a few mins ago. I thanked them for having LuNacy on this week, told them how much I enjoyed them and then gritted my teeth asking for some great scenes where they are not rehashing the same thing all week. ugh. Oh well at least the call counts for them, right.

Hey all! Hope everyone is well.
HATE HATE HATE that they still had them in that cantina again today, rehashing the same crap. Maybe TG is sick and couldn't get into the role, but the lack of fire between them this past week leaves me cold. If Luke sees EWCBO and goes gaga after a week of episodes of not being sexy with his sugar plum, I will go ballistic!!! I better get some sexiness between and SOON!!!

Haven't watched the whole show yet; just the last two scenes and they didn't seem that great. But it seems at least that it will be better than their past few episodes.
