Yes, it seemed like something was cut, but Luke did call Laura the "real thing" in the previous scene, but not as in, his real love, but as in the real Laura (not Tracy dressed up as her). Does that make sense? LOL. I don't know... GH is messed up. As far as updates go, MinervaFan wrote a short fic. I just finished up a video... Ms. Q's Quartermaine Video: CLICK HERE. This will never be posted to YouTube or GHVT, btw, 'cause I stole the idea from my sister's ensemble video: Click here. (Sister gave me permission to steal, but yeah...Don't want to share with the world). And heads up, I don't like what I did with the flash at the "We come into this world, and we are all the same..." lyrics, but I changed it once already and don't feel like changing it again. LOL. He did the last 2 years... But speaking of TG's vacations...Someone tell me this is NOT his exit SL for the summer: That might have been the reason for the Sonny/Luke conversation a couple weeks ago. But seriously... Love the avatar, MinervaFan. It's so pretty! So, I'm making a Q video, but it's not a cute, lovey dovey video, and I don't think I do a good job of showcasing their relationships. I'm just trying to put clips together to lyric...And I stole the song my sister used for an ensemble video. But, hopefully, it's still going to be ok. So, I've included JI's Edward, Alan, Monica, Skye, AJ, Emily, Tracy, Ned, and Dillon. There's a short clip of Lila Q (I wish I used more), a couple clips of Lila Rae - I needed a baby clip - and a short clip of Baby Brook Lynn. Deb, yup, that's the one you want to see. But I, too, just have a VCR. Have you asked Tracey if she can clip? Loved your fic, btw. I adore the way Tracy acts around Alan. The FREAK thing was such a sister-brother moment. Such a sweet story. From the breakroom transcript, to answer the question: I do have most of the wardrobe memorized. Like that long, blue, satin jacket (the one JE had on in the "Beauty Secrets" section of Soaps In Depth once; also, the same outfit from the TG/JE photoshoots, also in in SID)...I can tell you she wore it when she "dumped" Dillon with the Q's (April 2003), when Heather attempted to strangle her (November 2004), when Skye voted for Lorenzo for CEO (July 2005), when Luke wanted to renew their vows (April 2006), and when Sam wanted a job with ELQ (January 2007). But I make videos! And I have lots of clips! And all the clips are saved with the date first! So, therefore, when I import (or go to the "collections" section), I get extra exposure to the outfits/dates on which she wore them. So, it's not like I sit there and memorize each and every one of them. It sort just comes naturally, afterwhile. Edit: Some simple prettiness (hopefully) that I've been meaning to share...

Hair first: Her hair did look shiny. I'll give you that. And I bet it's soft too. I don't need curls all the time either, but I'm with knh. I like it longer, and well, we all know what else I like. It begins with an O. Second letter is also O. Then an M... So Luke's on today, and he's at the Q's, so maybe, maybe, maybe Tracy will walk on in? However, something tells me this is going to be one of those days where we see everyone in that mansion...everyone except the family that actually lives there. Soaps In Depth Contract News... SOC wondered if Luke was going to have Dillon dress up as Laura to get the real one out. It wouldn't be the first time Dillon dressed in drag...Or the second time. (I bet you all want to highlight the black bars now) So, I've just seen Luke, Dillon, Lulu, and Scott in this last half hour or so, but if Tracy's hair looks like it did yesterday, I can guarantee I'm not going to like it. Edit: Now that I have watched, I have some comments. DON'T READ THE REST OF THIS POST IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED. _ _ _ _ 1. Not enough Tracy. (3 scenes total) 2. Where. Is. The. Oomph? If I mail my blow dryer to TIIC and leave a little note and a picture of the hair, do you think they will understand? 3. Psst. Tracy. It's day time. Why are you wearing clothes that resemble pajamas? (purple SoapTalk jacket, tree cutting jacket, DiLu boathouse jacket). 4. Luke, are you serious? You want her to put on the blonde wig to impersonate Laura? For real? 5. Alan is just adorable today. Really! You'll want to hug him. 6. Speaking of Alan, he and Tracy both thought the wig was so Luke could fantasize that Tracy was Laura. To quote Alan: This goes way beyond oopsie-daisy. I love Alan today! 7. Not clear on the "real thing" dialogue. I didn't get Luke was referring to Laura as his real love. I got it as, "Here. Tracy, you be Fake!Laura, so I can get the real one out. Obviously, not much better, but still... 8. Remember the Sweeps Spoilers: How far will she go? Maybe she'll agree to Luke's plan after all. Hope he's got a way of getting her out of there though. I had to laugh at Luke's dialogue about it being The ShadyBrook Caper. 9. LUKE! Step away from Tracy's son! Oh, I wish Tracy walked in on him practically cornering Dillon like that. Lulu actually came to the rescue. Figure that one out. 10. Ok. Luke and Lulu previews. They're at the Q's. No Tracy. No Tracy in the breakdowns either, but maybe, maybe, maybe she'll appear? I've convinced myself she's just gone to her bedroom to blow dry her hair. Oh, and to change her clothes.

OT: Hehe. Teachers are so funny when the power goes out. I was in a faculty lounge for this department reception (I'm such a geek) with a whole bunch of teachers and a couple other students, and the lights just went off. It was campus wide and into the neighborhood close by (luckily, I was able to reset my VCR, should Tracy bless us with her presence this afternoon). Anyway, they were all, "How are we going to have class? There are no windows. We have presentations! I am not cancelling class." Then, some other teachers entered the lounge, all asking each other what was going on and when it was going to be back on. No one knew anything. It's back now though. This one professor had said he was going to go by the window to present this award in the light. Then, he walked by the window, and lo and behold, the lights just came back on!!!! (about 30 minutes from the time we lost power) Anyhoo. Majorly. Off. Topic. But I wanted to share. It was a lot more amusing in my head. Now, I must head out before I'm late!!!

UGLY. HAIR. ALERT. UGLY. HAIR. ALERT. RECYCLED. WARDROBE. ALERT. RECYCLED. WARDROBE. ALERT. Why, why, why?!?! All right. So, depending on the angle, the hair is not that bad. Flat, but not as horrible as I made it sound. More on hair/makeup/wardrobe: Jacket is short; it's he red one that she wore when Dillon decided he wanted to forget film school and go into business. She's wearing a long pearl necklace; it's like doubled-up, or tripled. If that makes sense. It kind of reminds me of a little girl playing dress up. JE can pull it off, but I just don't think it goes with his particular jacket. Oh, makeup is good. ~*RECAPS*~ (These are going to be very random and have lots of "something's" and "I can't remember's." Hopefully, I don't miss anything important). Scene 1: Tracy walks into the den. Luke is there, eating, I believe. Alice is in the room too. He welcomes Tracy back with a kiss. I think. I can't believe I don't know!!! Once upon a time, a kiss and/or a hug was a rare thing. Now, it's like second nature when it comes to LuNacy. Anyway, Tracy wants time alone with Luke. She's been in Seattle, where it was rainy, but she was making awesome business deals, being the perfect CEO of ELQ. The best part of the trip was that Alan was completely gone. Tracy admits that it might have been her conscience after all. And then, Alan appears. Scene 2: Tracy wants him to go away. Alan says he had to show up because if he didn't she would be boo-hoo'ing about her brother is dead, and she misses him, and she'd do anything to see him just one more time. Tracy says why can't he let her figure that out for herself. There some talk about Alan finally getting the upperhand, and how he had to die to get it, but at least he has it. She goes on about Jason's imaginary children, how the money she stole from Alan helped her be successful with the ELQ thing in Seattle. Alan reminds her that she stole from a dead man. Sainthood is not in her future. Tracy says she's going to ignore Alan. Then, Alan makes thunder. Tracy's getting mad. Luke calls her "Baby." Reminds her that Alan is dead; that it's probably a permanent condition (Jane Elliot almost laughs here IMO). Luke wants her to focus on the living and the problems of the living. Like the fact that he has to get guardianship of Laura and needs her help. Scene 3: Tracy is drinking out of a little tea cup. Aww. Back to the plot...She's going to help him. Scotty has subpoenaed him. Alan pulls the Luke is never rational when it comes to Laura card. Edward enters, wondering where Tracy's pride and self-respect is. Why is she helping Luke with his EX-WIFE? Edward reminds him that Luke is Tracy's husband now (G-d help them all). Dillon enters. Uh oh. Someone forgot to pay his school tuition. Monica and Alice come in too. Bicker, bicker, bicker. Monica says Tracy is happy because she got a good deal when she forged the will. Alan: You go, girlfriend! Tracy yells at Alan to shut up. Monica is wondering who she's talking to. As is Dillon. Alan says if she keeps this up, she's gonna end up in the room next to Laura. Edward is proud of the deal that Tracy made. Bicker, bicker, bicker. Luke gets everyone to shut up! He tells them about Laura. Dillon is all, "OMG! Does Lulu know? I must tell her!!!" Scene 4: OMG. There are too many veterans in the Quartermaine den. Something's bad about to happen. Ok. Rewind. Monica says they should respect Laura's wishes. Alan's all, "No one around her respects anyone's wishes." The Q's agree that Scott cannot have custody of Laura. This is why Tracy is going to help him. Edward's wondering about how much this is going cost. Some arguing. Alan: Monica's getting fiesty. Tracy: She can't hear you! Edward: Who? Luke: Don't even ask. Talk, talk, talk. Surprise! Scotty enters. He was not expecting an audience. Alan says something. Tracy: Would you button it? Scotty thinks she's talking to him. The Q's offer Scotty money to stay from Laura. Scotty has enough money. He wants Laura. Alan makes some thunder. Scotty is all: What is that?!? Tracy smiles/glares. And then...BOBBIE enters!!! And Staci wonders if the Q mansion is about to blow up. So far, we're good. Luke wants to know if this gathering was Bobbie's idea. Scene 5: Bobbie asked Scotty to come. She's playing the peacemaker. Laura wouldn't want this. Luke is the love of her life (cut to Tracy, sighing and possibly doing something with her hair), Scotty was her first love and is a good friend. Bobbie wants them to stop fighting over her. Edward says they're both making a$$es out of themselves. Tracy agrees with Bobbie. Monica says something; I can't remember though. Scotty is trying to protect Laura from Luke. Dillon enters, putting on a show: OMG! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS? WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU NEED TO BE SHOT. Luke: Get me a gun, son. Dillon accidentally lets it slips that he knows something. How could you now do this, after what you already did? (or something similiar) Luke and Tracy are curious. Dillon's like: Uh oh. Scene 6: Ooh. Short scene. Ok. Dillon tries to backtrack, retelling the history of Theresa Carter, who I think was Rick's mistress, and Laura witness him kill her (this was rewritten circa 2002, I believe). Tracy: Sweetheart! She gets him to stop talking. He doesn't have to retell what happened. What occurred was horrible tragedy, blah, blah, blah. Tracy almost seems like she's hiding something, but I could be wrong. Tracy tosses blame on Rick. Monica steps in and says not to. Alan says if she starts defending Rick, Tracy has his permission to kick her in the knees. Edward wants to move onto current problems, like Laura's guardianship. Bottom line. Scotty tells Bobbie that her heart's in the right place, but she's wrong. He's going to get custody of Laura and take her from Luke's drunken thumb. Scene 7: The Soap Angels are singing because Tracy Quartermaine has appeared in every. single. segment. Anyway. She's drinking again. Alan says she's turning into a lush. Tracy says the subject of Laura gives her a headache. He says Laura riles everyone up. Alan notes that Dillon was acting very strange around Scott. Alan and Tracy talk about the Rick Webber Murder Mystery. Tracy wonders if Scott killed Rick. Enter Dillon. Tracy wants him to get rid of the evidence that incriminates Scott. Luke cannot find out because he was the one to tell her that she killed her stepfather, and that made her insane. Luke walks in on Tracy yelling at Dillon. Why are you yelling at my stepson? Dillon, quite amusing here, pretends it's about Lulu. He's totally acting, and it's obvious, but it's cute. Dillon leaves. Luke says Tracy needs to get on Dillon's good side because he knows something about Scotty. Comments: So, despite the fact that 95% of Tracy's scenes were all about Laura, I enjoyed today. She got a whole lot of screentime. We got Trillon! We got Quartermaine fun. We got numerous vets in one room, and it wasn't a wedding, funeral, or time for a natural disaster. I hope we get good stuff tomorrow!

ILoveTracyQ, I hate it too. But you've certainly come a long way. From hating Georgie once upon a time, to dare I say...missing her? hooked, can we consider this video your going away present? I'll start this post with a video. It's kind of AR, kind of not. Heads up, but a lot of you are NOT going to like it (Lainey and TracyLuv especially). In fact, if I weren't such a glutton for feedback, I would suggest that the two of you didn't watch (depending on your mood). I've had the idea for awhile now, but I never had a song, and then one day, the PERFECT SONG popped up on SoapZone. Soon after, Luke pissed me off, and a week or so later, THIS was the result. MinervaFan, aww. That was sad. *sniff* The series of lines that began with "I tried to kill my father..." was really powerful. I also liked the part about her cutting her hair in a drunken rage. Yay! I made the right choice with the blue one! And thanks angel. I liked that video too. LOL. That sounds weird, but there are times when I'll make something and like it at first, and then after I post it, I think, "Hmm, that was kind of crappy." But I don't feel like about that about the "Nothing Compares To You" video. OT: And oooh! Biology! What fun. I do prefer biology to chemistry though. (But luckily, I never had to dissect anything except an owl pellet)! But that was so sad...and kind of gross, digging out all the mouse bones from the pellet that the owl coughed up, I guess. I haven't done any school related work today. Well, wait. I take that back. I did have a 4 hour study abroad orientation.
