  1. Loren Lott? Yes. Much approved. Assuming that the rich family will have a character playing a daughter, she fits. Very pretty and just looks the part. Lamman Rucker? Yes again. Mr. Rucker is 52-years-old in real life so he definitely carries the feel of being a family Patriarch. Hypothetically, I think he would also work very well playing the lead to some low-income clan as well.
  2. I would imagine that they are likely going to handle casting the "PASSIONS" way. Remember how that soap cast the parents looking almost as young as the actors/actresses who played their children? If people like Victoria Rowell and Debbi Morgan were added, they would probably play a grandparent or an aunt to the family/families.
  3. So what do these characters do to make that $$$? The Montgomerys: Real Estate. More specifically, they own a batch of 5-star hotels in the ATL and several luxury resorts in the Caribbean. The McMillans: Soul Food Catering Undergoing renovations in downtown ATL to open an upscale soul food restaurant/jazz club. The Hamptons: Jack Hampton: A lawyer/Politician. Plans to run for mayor at some point but probably won't win. Jillian Hampton: Owns and runs a successful Atlanta television station. Caitlyn Hampton: An eager and determined young investigative reporter. Bryce Hampton: A BUM!!!! Lol. Wants to live the high life but doesn't want to do the work to make it possible. Cuts corners and breaks rules hoping to hit it big. Abigail Hampton: Highly renowned Physician. And this concludes my Fanfic. 😂
  4. More "lone" characters: Dorian Black: Stylish, well-dressed, somewhat charismatic young entrepreneur with a smart mouth. Lol. Can be very sarcastic and tells it like it is to the point of insulting people. He's close friends with William Montgomery. Maxine "Max" Vanderbilt: Another somewhat outspoken character. Besties with Sharon McMillan. Channing: Reynaldo's hunky bartender and right-hand dude in all other aspects. Rico: LOAN SHARK/DRUG DEALER. Has much association with Reynaldo. It's later discovered he's also heavily tied to both Bryce Hampton and Gregory Montgomery. Jenna, Katrina, Eve: Reynaldo's three best performers. They are recurring characters.
  5. And now for their names: Wealthy black family: Patriarch: Gregory Montgomery Matriarch: Valyncia Montgomery Adult son: William Montgomery aka Gregory Montgomery, Jr. Oldest adult daughter: Olivia Montgomery Youngest adult daughter: Tracy Montgomery Adult nephew: Curtis Montgomery Middle class black family: Patriarch: Charles McMillan Matriarch: Gracelyn McMillan Adopted daughter (niece): Sharon McMillan Adopted son (nephew): Trayvon McMillan Matriarch's sister (biological mother of Sharon and Trayvon): Yvonne Harris Patriarch's male cousin: Damian Ross Semi-wealthy white family: Patriarch: Jackson "Jack" Hampton Matriarch: Jillian Hampton Adult son: Bryce Hampton Adult daughter: Caitlyn Hampton Patriarch's sister: Dr. Abigail "Abby" Hampton A couple of "lone" characters (more to come later when I think of some). Sylvia Rivera: Highly paid housekeeper for the Montgomerys. Reynaldo Rivera: Sylvia's very gorgeous hunk of a son who owns a highly renowned strip joint in ATL. Gorgeous, but also very shady.
  6. My dream setup: Setting: ATL. Wealthy black family: Matriarch, Patriarch, one adult son, two adult daughters, and a nephew biologically connected to the Patriarch. Middle Class black family: Matriarch, Patriarch, no biological children. A niece (adopted daughter), a nephew (adopted son), a sister of the Matriarch, and a male cousin to the Patriarch. Semi-wealthy white family (mostly supporting roles): Matriarch, Patriarch, one adult son and one adult daughter, and a sister of the Patriarch. And a string of "lone" characters both male and female of different ethnicities.
  7. I'm still hoping they choose Atlanta for the show's setting myself. So then the show can simply be known as "ATL" just in case " The Gates" is not the actual title.
  8. Yes, and again, years ago, ABC aired a primetime supernatural thriller/soap that went by the exact same name. Those characters also resided in a gated community. The name of the show didn't change, although I always thought the creators wanted the audience to think "The Gates of Hell" given that it was kind of creepy.
  9. I take it that Jon Lindstrom will have a starring role in The Gates? I like it. He's a wonderful actor. Is she subtlely conveying that she is in fact going to have a part in this too? If so, The Gates is off to a great start already.
  10. TG just needs to find a way to come out swinging the very first episode. Someway, somehow. The first episode needs to end with a good hookable cliffhanger to instantly bring the audience back to the next installment.
  11. How about the gal who played Veronica Harrington on Haves and Have Nots?
  12. I'm fairly certain that there will be other characters on this show who will be mixing it up and schmoozing with the rich folks. Wouldn't be surprised if they enlisted ANOTHER black family who are not rich, but average working people to act as their counterparts. Think of it as the Forresters vs. the Spectras.
  13. It would all add up so nicely. Have the show set in Atlanta. TP offers up his impressive studio for taping. Have this rich black family living in the wealthy upscale community of Buckhead. Give us those juicy storylines that only the ATL could produce. WINNER!
  14. The article states that this show will have multidimensional characters and juicy storylines. How juicy, I wonder? Is this going to be some super racy daytime soap? I can see it, especially if they decide to choose Atlanta as the show's setting.
  15. If I didn't know any better I would've thought that this was some kind of a viewer's hoax. Clearly I thought the daytime soap genre was dying slowly but surely, and now I hear this news. Sounds like Generations 2.0 by the way.
