  1. I noticed the Mac/Emma interaction the other day mentioned some things that have apparently been happening offscreen. For one, it was clearly not the first time the two of them had talked about Anna’s abrupt departure, and been concerned about her. Which also made me remember there was a daily spoiler some time back (before Anna was abducted) that said Emma would be worrying about Anna, but it evidently got cut. Emma also talked about how close she was with Maxie, and kept wanting to call her. Not only have we not seen much of Emma missing Macie, other than the day Maxie collapsed, we never really saw them being close beforehand. They had a couple of interactions shortly after Emma came to PC, one where I think Maxie presented herself as someone Emma could talk to about things she didn’t feel she could tell Anna, and the other when Anna pushed the idea of Emma interning at Deception. But neither of those ever led to anything, and I don’t recall any other interactions. It also seems like we could have seen Mac and Felicia worrying that trying to be there for Mavie might be preventing them from really being there for her kids, and Mac said that the kids talk to Emma, but we have never seen that. On another note, it would be nice if Emma/Mac/Felicia/someone would find out that Willow was the one stalking Sasha and Daisy. It’s looking like Sasha might not be returning to confront Willow about this (though who knows with these writers), so it would be nice to see someone close to Sasha learn about this and hold it against Willow. Maybe this will happen around the time Molly finds out about how her entire family is lying to her. But I guess to have any of these scenes, they would have to cut some of the many, many scenes of… Drew being an ass Willow being a self-absorbed twit Sonny and Jason being the world’s most self-righteous criminals Nina protecting her daughter no matter who else she needs to hurt Carly plotting against Jack for bringing her daughter into a government agency Curtis and Portia having the same conversations with each other and others Kristina and Alexis ignoring the fact that she is a danger to the people around her
  2. At OLTL I think priest Joey (Brian Michael Hall?) didn't last long. Many people never accepted Tim Gibbs as Kevin. A lot of people refuse to accept the current Ridge and Taylor on B&B, as well as IR as Thorne. Danica stewart had the misfortune of being an unaccepted recast on two different shows.
  3. I was pleased to see Gio and Emma decide to go against Sonny's advice and admit the full truth to Dante and Lulu, but what are the odds they actually follow through with it?
  4. What has been more facepalm worthy this week? 1. Rocco dining with his "other family." 2. Alexis and Ava patting each other on the back about being good mothers. 3. Jason being outraged about Brennan putting someone he loves in danger. Because that's his and Sonny's job, I guess. Maybe if he saw parallel's between Brennan/Joss and him and Sonny it could work, but that will never happen.
  5. Daytime TV Actors Will Give You Chills in Their Scary Movies: Pictures Here is a list of some examples Notable ones include Maurice Bernard as a priest in Nightmare Cinema, Tracy Bregman as a mean girl in Happy Birthday to Me, Marcy Walker trying to kill Genie Francis in Terror in the Shadows, Anne Heche and Julianne Moore in the Psycho remake, Melody Thomas Scott in Hitchcock movie Marnie, and Anna Lee in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
  6. And yet, after the Gio reveal, Dante apologized for holding a grudge against Sonny after that.
  7. I agree. I don't think it was at Steve's urging or that he even wanted it. So many different things can be blamed. Frons's directives, JFP hating veterans, Guza wanting the show to be the Sopranos AND both Steve and Mo loving being bada** mobsters. There was a point during the Monavie era that I thought a lot went to Steve's head and he had way too much pull. He seems mellowed and more open now to play more nuance. Yeah, I'm not trying to say SB should be blamed for everything, but I can't help but feel like he did play some part in the mob taking over the show, and the Quartermaines being wasted and shoved to the side. Anyway, today when Michael kind of brushed off Jason rejecting the Q's as being so long ago, I was like "Ok, but you both still happily associate with the guy who killed Monica's son, and choose not to use the Quartermaine name, that's not ancient history." The really should have had one of Lucas/Anna/Dante say "OMG, Nathan?" at the end of the show.
  8. I think Jason apologized at AJ's grave. But he's never had any problem with Sonny killing AJ. I'm kind of afraid Michael is going to convince Jason that he absolutely did the right thing keeping him from the Quartermaines. The Tracy/Jason scenes were great, but they gave me kind of a weird feeling. I think Burton really pushed for Jason to remain alienated from the Q's, which played a significant part in the family being pushed to the side. It seems odd to see him now being front and centre in honoring the family.
  9. Was Victor intended to stick around long-term? I always thought him dying after the medical procedure was stopped was the plan all along.
  10. Tina Sloan joined the show as Lilian first, with original Beth Judi Evans Luciano.
  11. In general, any scene where a character talks about something they want to keep secret while keeping their back to a spot where someone could walk up and overhear them. Moving too specific examples ATWT - Hal learns that James Stenbeck is hiding out in some abandoned building, and heads down there with some of his cops to arrest him, sirens blaring. We then see James and his son David calmly noting the approaching sirens and deciding not to wait for the cops to arrive. And when the cops show up and find them gone, Hal is completely befuddled by how James could have pulled this off. Apparantly it never occurs to him that James could hear the sirens and realize he might not want to hang around. GL - Bradley Cole returns as Jeffrey (I think that was the name), and people are shocked by his resemblance to Richard. He comments to Edmund, "I get it, except for the beard, I look just like your brother." Then when he accepts a job to stay in town, he says, "I guess I'll shave my beard, maybe then people will stop thinking I'm this Richard guy." Because getting rid of the one thing that differentiates you from a guy will really help people distinguish you from him. AMC - Ryan and Ethan break into Zach's office, and stumble upon evidence that leads to them eventually realizing he caused the blackout. How? Because Zach had apparantly bought a day planner that he left completely blank, except for doodling a lightning bolt on the one day where he did something he wanted to keep secret. And he then held onto the planner for no logical reason, though at least he kept it taped under his desk. Zach sees that Ryan and Ethan broke in on a security camera, and decides maybe he should get rid of that incriminating day planner. Honestly, Ryan's entire return to the show falls into this category. Having Ryan bump into Alexander Cambias and be gifted the keys to the Cambias empire was ridiculous, and the way they had him arrogantly lord this over everyone in Pine Valley made him very unlikeable. And then, even though the fans who were happy to see Ryan come back were very much Ryan/Kendall fans, they had him fooling around with Greenlee, even after Greenlee almost got Kendall convicted of murder.
  12. It was said that he didn't like the fast pace of shooting Soaps. Well, scratch the idea that Drew might wake up back to his old personality. If he's going to be the same ass he has been, they should have just killed him. Alexis said "Kristina's baby." Molly really needs to ditch her entire family.
  13. LOL, I remember some fans trying to explain how the character of Chloe (played by Allison Mack, now known for... something other than acting) was actually Lois Lane, and thus the love of Clark's life.
  14. Okay, I'm curious. What was this message board, and what was the franchise?
  15. For AMC, people have mentioned Maria, but her return was a massive success compared to sisters Julia and Anita. Bobby was another dud. The return of Bianca for the first gay wedding in soaps turned out to be an absolute disaster. Dixie's return where she spent all her time mooning over Zach was a dud. I'd argue that Ryan's return also fizzled, but the show must kept trying to make it work until the bitter end. Speaking of Ryan, his brother's return also fits, IMO. A cute love story between a murderer and an autistic girl? Pass. I think Aidan once told Jonathon and Erin that it was in really bad taste for them to stick around Pine Valley, where the friends and family of Jon's victims had to see him walking around free. On GH, Lucky's recent return was a mess. AJ's return could also be called one, especially now that Michael has just shrugged off Sonny killing him. Robin's return after Michael's birth is another, damaging the character by having her go along with the Michael lie until her relationship with Jason ended, telling Karen to get over what Sonny did to her and getting mad that Mac wanted to put criminal Jason in jail. The return and destruction of Rick was shockingly bad. Stefan coming back to go completely psycho and be killed counts. Hmm, if I recall correctly, I think people ended up liking the second Karen (Marie Wilson) more than the first (Jennifer Hammon), but it's been a long time.
