Videoland have now pushed everyone onto their new app “Videoland V2”. I can no longer stream as it geoblocks, even with VPN set to Netherlands.

    Anyone know a solution?

Translation of error message: Unfortunately this video is not available at your location

It works via PC on the Videoland website (+VPN)

  2. Hello all,

I'm sorry to say that I am no longer able to post the CALA Classic episodes of B&B. They are still being posted, but due to reasons beyond my control, I've been asked to no longer rip/post those episodes and to direct viewers to the official YouTube channel.

I apologize for getting our hopes up. We will get to see everything soon *fingers crossed*.

    Thank you!

Unbelievable and so exciting to be able to rewatch 1995. I’m currently on vacation and will first finish 1996, but then I’ll jump back in time…

I literally don't know what I want to do LOL I'm recording and posting these episodes but I'm watching at Videoland pace and I don't really want to skip ahead, but at the same time like I'm RECORDING and posting these episodes so I feel like I should watch? Right? LOL Oh well. There's enough other content I'm watching, and I GUESS I could be patient but I'm NOT LOL >.<'

  4. So, as of 1312, I don’t like Lane Davies version of Ridge. He was very miscast and I’m ready for him to wrap it up haha. He’s not a bad actor and I wouldn’t hate him on the show but he just isn’t Ridge. He’s too old and the whole atmosphere is off…

I love Brooke vs. Shelia. The way Brooke couldn’t care less to learn Shelias name “alright Shauna” is just amazing haha the way they’re building this up I’m so excited to see it play out.

Thanks for uploading and  figuring out the "dream math". Seriously though, Videoland and Cala should drop more episodes. The shows have already aired, so it shouldn't be a big deal.

It's a *big* deal due to the cost involved. Videoland/RTL & Cala are licensing the show from The Bells, they pay for X amount of episodes at a time, and then they are both broadcast on their respective networks. I believe Videoland get's *first look* and then it repeats on RTL Lounge and then Cala airs it throughout their network slots. So it's just all about making the most out of their money. VL's two episodes a day is kinda perfect. Yeah I'd love more but whatever I'll take what I can get and if the official youtube keeps going we'll have plenty of sources lol

So the episode posted today is definitely May 24, 1995 https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps.cbs/c/FWPcrPDQP3I/m/BshXzv3zck8J so yesterday was May 23 and that's NOT a preemption date then.

I've renamed them and put them in the May 1995 folder. I don't think there's any preemptions coming up so @soapwikijohnyou can just continue the dates from there. Maybe @YRfan23has the full 1995 preemptions list. I noticed we already have May 30 and 31 but in pretty poor VHS quality.

Thanks again for uploading! They really look fantastic.

Okay, then starting Monday I’ll start naming the episodes accordingly and 🤞 it will be correct. I’m sure someone on here will let us know when mistakes are made and we can adjust accordingly.

Seriously, your efforts look just beautiful, and a bonus that there's no subtitles at the bottom. If the one you just posted was the Friday airing, fingers crossed that means that the first one from the marathon is one of the ones that you weren't able to capture after the first two you so wonderfully provided us (ie. 2040 likely the 'Monday' episode)...I think so far what you have been able to obtain is 2037, 2038, 2041-2044. Thanks so much once again, it is very much appreciated by us.

You’re welcome! I’m just sorry I couldn’t have started sooner 😂. I mean there’s literally no way that I could’ve started sooner but hey you get my drift.  But with that said I’m so excited to build up the archive and knowing that it’s going to take some time for Videoland to catch up and then surpass where we will be.

    So some simple (dream) math.

*if* were working on the assumption I’m posting 2041+, then we have roughly 730 episodes to fill in the gap. At the current rate VL is going (10 episodes a week) Which will be roughly 73 weeks. Thus in less than a year and a half from now we will have Videoland meet Cala.

In that time *roughly* we should have an additional 365 episodes aired on Cala. Thus by the time Videoland and Cala meet we should be watching episode 2406 which will be October 26th 1996 😊

Now at that rate VL should overtake Cala when we get to 2771 / April ‘98… which will be in 147 weeks / nearly 3 years from now we 🤞🤞

I dare say however many appear in the marathon is how many aired during the week. If it’s not too much trouble to crop out the ads either side of the episode, great, if not, no biggie, we’d rather have the episode with ads than no episode at all!

Ah so to me it seems the 3pm is the repeat from the day before and 3.30pm airing is the new one, especially if you are recording the 3-4pm block. Thanks so much again.

LOL Yeah, I've only had Cala for like a week, and I've basically recapped my experience with it here as we've gone along LOL, last Sunday was the first 'marathon' that I saw and it only recorded the first few minutes so I wasn't sure how many episodes aired. I had incorrectly assumed ten, but I suspect now it's just five.

I'll probably be recording the 10:30 am broadcast since it's the first time it airs and that way I can record other things throughout the day. But if there's issues it's good to know I can set it to record both the 10 am and 3 pm rebroadcast.

As far as editing out ads, it's my goal to, but I had tech issues so I figured any uploads are better than nothing.

Today's Cala Classic is converting now and should be posted shortly..

    edit- todays Cala is posted!

The first one is the same as the 2nd one you posted yesterday. Do they do 2 new ones a day or repeat one from the day before plus a new one? Thank you!!

Ah okay I have no idea I haven’t been watching just recording and posting. If it’s one a day that sucks I was really hoping to go through the show 😂

whats crazy about that is that means every episode airs 5 times on the network, that’s crazy. The episode airs first at 10:30 am, then at 3:30 pm then again at 10 am the following day, then again at 3 pm and then one last time on Sunday in the marathon 😆

  9. Alright, so I have the day off of work, and finally able to sit and mess with everything. The previous way of recording was very...flakey, basically if I wasn't *watching* it then it wasn't recording, and considering I work two jobs being home at the time it was airing was kindof impossible LOL. With that said, I spent a lot of time and figured out a solution using my PC so I *THINK* we should be good. I'll stress test it tonight and see if anything's wrong LOL.

Once the episode is recorded, I then have to basically convert it to a .mp4 file and then from there split the episodes in two (from the one hour block). All in all the process seems to take my computer about 30-40 minutes. So *shrugs* not impossible, but I'm going to have to make it a habit I keep up with because otherwise it's just a pain LOL.

With that said, obviously I missed a few episodes and I'm sorry, I'll try and get this upcoming Sunday's marathon to fill it in and then capture it and post every day *fingers crossed* With that said I dropped two more episodes into the 1995 folder, simply labeled "B&B Cala Classic 10/6/21 Episode 1 / 2" once we know what episode were on (again) than I'll attempt to label them accordingly going forward.

Let me know what you think of the video quality, I tried a new process using a new program so I *think* i retained as much of the HQ as I could. I really haven't watched the episodes because I'm confused LOL, but I plan on saving everything and watching once we get to this point with the VideoLand episodes LOL.

Anyways hope everyone is having a good day :)

So unfortunately I am not home to currently check on it, but the omnibus (marathon) of this weeks B&B on Cala Classics is airing right now and it’s recording so fingers crossed I’ll have 10 episodes to post (8 given the two episodes I posted already) from ‘95 later tonight 🤞🤞🤞. If not I’ll be up and running for tomorrow and this weeks and we should have ‘95-on here soon.

if this works than hopefully we will have ‘92-94 from Videoland next year and then 95-97 from Cala by the time the two intersect haha 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Darn I guess I lost power due to a storm we had so it didn’t record. But I have it now set up and a back up set up so starting tomorrow I’ll record and post those.

Welcome and thank you for the dropping the Cala episodes into the Vault.

Try this with the .ts file: open in QuickTime player and then save as .mp4. This has always worked for me and there is no loss of quality.

Can you tell us more about the Cala broadcast. When did they commence airing Bold? How many episodes per week? Are they currently screening 1995 episodes? Does Cala have a website where they stream the episodes after broadcast?

Whatever episodes you capture and post to the Vault will always be very much appreciated by everyone. Full complete episodes (with closing credits) if possible 🙂

    Thanks again.

Oooh I’ll give that a shot. Haven’t used QuickTime in forever haha

I know absolutely nothing in regards to anything Cala other than that the episodes are airing now and that they aired before and someone uploaded 1994 episodes haha.
I believe it’s 10 episodes a week and from y’all’s searching it seems like 1995? They don’t have a functioning website or any streaming options at this point that I can find.
