What is his illness? Is he dying? I haven't kept up. I know he's had the cancer removed on his head but what's the news now? I like JI.

The melanoma on his head never fully healed & came back several times. Sadly, John's preparing to go home & be reunited with his beloved wife.

Is it definite? I know you had seemed to think for a while that he might be able to do more, but it really seems like it's the end.

Things aren't good. One of John's dreams for the last several months was to do one last GH to make him feel like he had won. On August 24th, John's dream came true.

Knowing that these were the final scenes John will film make it all the more emotional.

Well Tracy, Monica, & Edward are all a part of it, so that's one way. The entire cast has filmed scenes for this story. Some you'll see this week, others won't be on until next week & the week after.

As of right now, he's going to be working, but they've written his dialogue so that it can easily be transferred to Jane & Leslie if he finds himself unable to work.

I'm was just curious where you heard his name is on the roster for this week. That is great. Last I heard from my friend they were just waiting on a doctors note to clear him to return. I didn't know his daughter had an emergency.

Still not convinced we will see Tracy "in the show". Haven't yet. As time goes on, these writers are doing exactly what Guza did - highlighting the mobbies at the expense of everyone else. Where's the promised changes?

I agree with you. They promised us vets and in the beginning, we got them, But as time has gone on, we see a lot less and less of them then in previous months.
