Ratings went up again last week. People do not tune in and out of this show because of Sonny and Carly, because those two are on all the time. When the show uses Laura as the main character, ratings go up. The heavy focus given Laura right now is bringing viewers in.

Avery Pohl and Adam Huss both posted on X today about the Costal Entertainment event that they are co-hosting on February 4. Since they are doing this event together, I guess this means Esme and Nikolas must have scenes on the show coming up.

I agree with this, but they always write against her.

Josslyn, Cam, Trina, Spencer, and Esme are all the same age. In 2021 they were 18, in 2022 they were 19, in 2023 they were 20, and this year they are 21.

Last week was a season high in ratings. I thought it was a great week and people are tuning in.

Curtis family scenes are terrible. Curtis is good when he appears in scenes with other people.

How is this for a Spencer exit? Spencer is informed by the police that he is being investigated for his role in Ace's kidnapping and that he should not leave town. Spencer doesn't tell Trina or any member of her family that he is a suspect and leaves for Paris with her. After they depart, the police issue an arrest warrant for him. Spencer is now a fugitive and what happens with him after the semester in Paris is an open question.

Plan A was to prank Ava until she abandoned her marriage. This plan failed because Spencer confessed. Plan B was conceived in March 2022. Plan B was to access Wyndemere and seduce Nikolas, then tell Ava so she divorces him. Esme got herself into Wyndemere at the end of March. On May 12, Ryan ordered Esme to sleep with Nikolas. On June 1, Esme had sex with Nikolas and conceived Ace. Pregnancy was not part of the plan. Ace was the bonus.

Killing Ryan and Victor were both mistakes. The show lost entertainment value without them.

Ryan sent Esme to Spencer's boarding school in France to seduce and manipulate him. Esme's mission from Ryan was to infiltrate the Cassadine family and destroy the Nava marriage by whatever means necessary so that Ryan could get back Ava. Ryan told Ava these things right before he died.

I liked the Kraze scene and the Esme-Cyrus scene. The rest of the show was idle conversation typical for a Thursday. I hope that Esme and Cyrus have more scenes together.

Soap Dirt is reporting that Spencer, Trina, Nikolas and Ace will all be out. NAC will be doing his other show and TA will be on vacation. Spencer and Trina will be offscreen for six weeks.

I definitely find her more interesting than most of the characters who hate on her.

Yes, they do. Esme is my favorite character on the show and I would lose a lot of interest in watching if she leaves. I am maintaining a log of her appearances. Yesterday was the 211th episode in which she has appeared.

Spencer handed Ace to Nikolas and he took off. He is now an accessory to a kidnapping. How is he to explain what he just did without being arrested? Will he flee town to avoid being arrested, and then reunite with Trina in Paris?

We are only halfway through the month and the discussion is already at 38 pages. The show must be good! I think the ratings will go up this month.

Nikolas is leaving town and wants to take both of his sons with him. Will this be NAC's temporary exit? Will Spencer help Nikolas kidnap Ace?

I would hate this show if Nikolas got custody of Ace.

I think that Adam Huss is only going to play Nikolas on a temporary basis. This will be the final Nikolas. I think his story will end and he will be killed off for good. I wouldn't be surprised if Spencer ended up being the one who killed him.

Parting thoughts: I don't like Carly or the actress who plays her, but Carly improved when she took over running Kelly's. Carly and Drew still need to break up. I thought Olivia was boring and pointless, but the Eddie Maine storyline and now Lois have made her entertaining. The return of Lois is a total win and upgrades every character in her orbit. I missed Ryan and Victor after they left. The show struggled to be entertaining after they left. I like Curtis, but the rest of his family- Portia, Trina, Marshall, and Stella- all bore me.

The two Kristinas combined for 60 episodes. The four Mollies combined for 56 episodes. Sasha's 83 episodes were the character's best. The show's leading child is Ace at 40 episodes. He was born in February. The three Charlottes combined for 28 episodes.

It was reported that NAC would be gone from the show for two months. It appears now that Spencer is going to Paris with Trina. Trina is going to spend a semester at the Sorbonne. I don't like Spencer and Trina, so if both of them vanish for two months I would be fine with that.

Kristina has appeared in 13 episodes this month, her highest count since June 2011. Kate Mansi has done 55 episodes and Lexi Ainsworth was in 5. Kristina's 60 combined episodes are the character's largest presence on the show since 2011.
