Degrassi: The Next Generation
Riley is my favorite of the new characters, but characters like Bruce, Leia, Blue, Johnny, and Sav just annoy me. I do enjoy Anya much more than I did when she first came on to the show. And one thing I always hated was how they never gave Hazel anything, I would loved to see them do more story involving her being Muslim. I LOATHED Ellie. That bitch just pissed me off, except for her pairing with Sean. Her pining after Craig was just pathetic.

Degrassi: The Next Generation
She isnt. I dont remember what episode they said it in, but after she got out of the hospital, she transfered to a different school. Yep. He runs The Dot now.

Degrassi: The Next Generation
Yep. So what were/are your favorite characters and storylines? As for me I love Emma (Season 1-4), Manny, Spinner, Marco, Paige, Jimmy, and JT. I have so many favorite episodes and storylines. I loved the whole drama surrounding Rick in season 4 which lead to the shooting, as well as Emma getting an STD. (Sorry if I spoiled anything YRBB), also loved Paige and Darcy's rape storylines, and Marco's coming out storyline. I will forever be disappointed with Season 7 the whole Degrassi/Lakehurst stuff could have been gold and filled with lots of drama but it just fell flat.

Degrassi: The Next Generation
Yes, you do have alot of ahead of you. Seasons 3 and 4 are the best ones IMO. I would love to go more into detail, but I dont want to spoil anything for you, but if you dont mind knowing feel free to ask me anything about characters and what is coming up. I am a total Degrassi fanatic, feel in love with The Next Generation after seeing the original Degrassi series awhile back.

Degrassi: The Next Generation
I will admit as a grown man, I still watch D:TNG. I started watching the show when it premiered n America, back in April 2002. I have seen just about every episode, so wanted to discuss the show with fellow fans. Season 9 just wrapped up in America, and the movie "Degrassi Takes Manhattan" will be airing this summer. Here is the NEW Season 10 promo Can't wait for it! It is going to be 48 episodes. The first 24 will be shown during the summer for 6 weeks Monday-Thursday, and the other 24 will be shown during the normal school year. Since there aren't new episodes to discuss now, I guess we could talk about our favorite characters, storylines, and episodes, as well as this new promo.

A Different World (TV Series)
That is exactly why I think those people Y&RWT mentioned in his post consider ADW a black sitcom and not the TCS. It had a certain flavor to it, whereas The Cosby Show was more of a universal sitcom that looked beyond race. However I consider both black sitcoms either way.

Not sure. Dwayne and Whitley visited the Huxtables in one episode. Maybe she was in that one.

A Different World (TV Series)
Whatever. I'm done. You can think whatever you want. It was moved to Thursdays at 8pm in its last season. It flopped, and they tried to move it back to 8:30pm until they finally canned in January 1993. They aired the series finale in May on a Friday Night, and then burned the rest if the leftover episodes on Friday Nights during the summer of 1993. I got this info from here: Link

A Different World (TV Series)
No doubt. Everything about that last season was just akward. It was just the show's time to end. Television was getting edgier, and The Cosby Show couldn't keep up. It ended at the right time, thank god Bill Cosby ended it when he did. It would have only gotten worse.... Too bad that A Different World suffered without it though. Just think of how many critics they proved right when they floundered without their Cosby lead in. LMAO. This opening is hilariously cheesy.

Pam sucked. But if it wasn't for her we wouldn't have gotten Charmaine and Lance. Who I loved.

A Different World (TV Series)
What facts am I supposed to present? I wasn't in the room, while they were shooting out at ideas so I have no ideaa if they were purposely writing whites as racist. I never claimed anything I said was fact, just how I felt. Just becuase you showed me some supposed facts, doesn't mean I'm going to change my opinion. Everything I have said about this subject in this thread has been an OPINION.
-
A Different World (TV Series)
So because you don't agree with what I said, my opinion is incorrect? Maybe they weren't painting whites as racist all the time, but I still felt that show was preachy at times, and you felt they were being topical. That's our opinions END OF STORY.

A Different World (TV Series)
Had Lisa Bonet stayed there would have been no Kim, Freddie, or character expansion for Ron. It would have been all about Denise. They were forced to turn it into an ensemble show after she left. LOL! I loved Relax! Relate! Release! Remember that Season 2 episode where Freddie got drunk. I loved that crush she had on Dwayne that season, it was so cute.

A Different World (TV Series)
I don't remember that one. Which episode was it? I also loved the Whitley/Dwayne/Kinu triangle. It was full of LOL moments.

A Different World (TV Series)
Does anyone remember when En Vogue appeared as Mr. Gaines' quiet, church going nieces? Love that episode too. And well I did like Ron/Freddie I hated that they ended up together at the end. I always thought it would be Ron/Kim, but she ended getting engaged to some random nobody, whose name I can't even remember.
