Jack and Toni close in on Evan

POLICE STATION

Jack and Toni are in Jack’s office.

Jack: So what have you got?

Toni: We’re waiting for the report on the bullet casing from the church shooting.

Jack: It should confirm everything. Rachel would have been right all along.

Toni: I got a copy of the invoice for those bullets. They were purchased in St. Croix. They’re only made there.

Jack: Thank God Rachel came to us when she did.

Toni: Mitch would be dead if she didn’t.

ROOM

Felicia and Mitch lie in bed after having made love.

Felicia: This wasn’t the idea I had for our honeymoon.

Mitch: It’s what we got for now.

Felicia: I can’t believe this. I watched you die in the hospital. How could you have put me through that?

Mitch: Come on Felicia. I know you understand why we did it. We had to make it believable.

Felicia: I had no idea you were wearing a bulletproof vest.

Mitch: We knew Evan was gonna come after me. I turned on his mother.

Felicia: You had an attack of conscience because you were helping Janice in the beginning.

Mitch: I was an important piece in busting up Janice’s scheme to kill Mac.

Felicia: Now somebody’s gotta bust up Evan’s before he hurts someone else.

EVAN’S SUITE

Evan paces while Frankie implores him…

Frankie: Evan you can stop this now. I just found you. You’re my twin brother.

Evan: I’m trying to think okay. You need to be quiet.

Frankie: I know some part of you knows this is wrong.

Evan: I can’t believe you’re not siding with me. I could have thrown you with the others, but I didn’t, because you’re my sister.

Frankie: I appreciate that, but I can help you get out of this.

Evan: And how can you do that? I already have that planned.

He turns his back and pours chloroform on a cloth.

Frankie: Come on Evan please. You can’t continue this. Let’s go on with our lives. You can meet your niece Charlie, and Cory and Elizabeth.

Evan then approaches Frankie and places the chloroformed laced cloth on her mouth, which causes her to be unconscious.

CAMERA PAN ON FRANKIE…QUICK CUT TO THEME SONG

BAY CITY CENTER

Grant is with Paulina.

Paulina: Thank you.

Grant: For what?

Paulina: I had a great time with you the other night.

Grant: It’s my pleasure. There’s something I have to tell you.

Paulina: What is it?

Grant: I have to go out of town for a few days.

Paulina: Campaign stuff?

Grant: Yes. I’m so sorry. I will hurry back to be with you.

Paulina: I like the sound of that.

They kiss and Grant’s cell phone rings.

Grant: I have to take this.

Grant walks to a location out of Paulina’s earshot.

Grant: The jet’s ready. Okay. I’ll be at the tarmac in an hour

JACK’S OFFICE

Jack receives a phone call.

Jack: Hi honey (beat). I may have to go out of town for a few days. (beat) You know I can’t tell you. All I can say is we’re about to break a big case, then I will come home to you, Sage, and Dolores (beat). Love you, too Carly.

ROOM

Two guards walk in. One guard brings Frankie in with Jake and Sharlene. The other guard has a gun, and Evan follows them.

Sharlene: What have you done to Frankie?

Evan: She’s fine Aunt Sharlene. I’d never hurt my own sister.

Jake: So Janice IS her biological mother.

Evan: Bingo Jake. You were always a smart cookie, if not a philandering one.

Jake: What are you gonna do with us?

Evan: You’ll see.

Jake goes to attack Evan, but a guard points his gun at Jake, stopping him.

Evan: It was nice seeing you all.

Sharlene (after Evan leaves): He’s gonna leave us all to die isn’t he?
