Hope is sitting in a room at the police station. The DA, Charles Woods walks in, and sits across from Hope.

Hope: Thank you for meeting with me.

Charles: No problem, Hope. Now, what you did in the prison will not go unnoticed. You were very brave, and you stopped them from taking more innocent lives. I have spoken to your doctors, and they have concluded that it was solely the medication that was the problem. I would like to release you, and have you back on the force, but I can’t do that just yet. Now, what I can do is put you on an undercover mission.

Hope: Really? You would do that?

Charles: Of course, Hope. Once you successfully complete the mission, you will return home, and be ready to take you place back at the Salem PD.

Hope has tears in her eyes.

Hope: Thank you so much.

Charles: You have the rest of the day to spend with your family, and tonight you will be briefed on the mission, and leave at 9 pm.

Hope: Thank you. You have no idea what this means to me.

Jennifer and Maggie are sitting in the living room of the Horton house.

Jennifer: I’m getting nervous.

Maggie: About what?

Jennifer: I haven’t heard anything about Hope yet. I’m starting to get worried.

Maggie: Well, if they have any sense, they will release her right now.

Doug and Julie walk into the living room.

Julie: Your damn right about that!

Doug: Don’t worry; I’m sure we will hear something soon.

EJ wakes up in Jillian’s bed at the hotel. He sees that Jillian isn’t there. He gets up, and puts his boxers on. He picks up a note on the nightstand that says “I went to get some breakfast. Be back soon.”. EJ shakes his head.

EJ: Sorry. I’m busy today.

Downstairs, in the hotel, Jillian is on her phone.

Jillian: Good. I’m glad you like my designs. Maybe we can work something out.

She pauses as the person on the other end speaks.

Jillian: Ok, I should be in Salem by tomorrow morning. Thank you. Bye.

Jillian hangs up, and smiles. She sees EJ coming.

Jillian: Good morning.

EJ: That it is. Look, sorry about breakfast, I have a few business meetings today, but I’d love to meet you later.

Jillian: Sure. That sounds great.

EJ kisses her.

EJ: See you later.

EJ leaves, and Jillian smiles.

Stefano is in the living room of the DiMera mansion. He hangs up the phone.

Stefano: God forbid anybody answers their phones.

The doorbell rings. He walks to the door, and opens it. Taylor is standing outside.

Taylor: Hi, I’m so sorry to bother you.

Stefano: What? Did your dog run into my garden?

Taylor looks at him oddly. Stefano lets her in.

Taylor: No, I just forgot my phone here last night.

Stefano looks confused.

Stefano: What? Who are you? And what were you doing here last night.

Taylor reaches out her hand.

Taylor: I’m Taylor Walker, and I was here last night having dinner with my sister.

Stefano smiles.

Stefano: Nicole’s your sister, eh?

Taylor: Unfortunately.

Stefano laughs.

Stefano: It’s nice to see someone shares the same view with me about our beloved Nicole.

Taylor laughs.

Hope walks out of the room of the police station, and sees Bo. Bo walks over to her. He hugs her.

Bo: Well, what did he say.

Hope: He’s giving me an undercover job, and after that, I can come home, and rebuild my life.

Bo: Thank God.

Bo hugs her.

Bo: Now, let’s go to your gram’s house. Maggie and Jen are preparing lunch for you.

Tears form in Hope’s eyes.

Hope: The nightmare is over. Finally.

They smile at each other.

Jennifer is standing in the Horton living room. She picks up a picture of Alice.

Jennifer: I miss you so much, gram. I wish you were here.

The doorbell rings. She walks over to the door.

Jennifer: I got it!

She opens the door, and Victor is standing outside.

Jennifer: Hey! Thanks for coming! Come in!

Victor walks in.

Victor: I have to say I was surprised when you asked me to come over here.

They walk into the living room.

Jennifer: Well, I know how fond you are of Hope, and I wanted you here to celebrate. It will really make her feel good to see all her loved ones here.

Victor: Why do I get the feeling that wasn’t the only reason?

Jennifer smiles.

Jennifer: Ok, and I know your also fond of my aunt Maggie.

Maggie walks into the living room, and sees Victor.

Maggie: Victor, what are you doing here?

Jennifer: I asked him to come; for Hope.

Maggie: Oh.

Victor: It’s good to see you, Maggie.

Jennifer: I’ll leave you two alone.

Jennifer leaves the living room.

Victor: So, I think your niece is trying to play matchmaker.

Maggie laughs.

Maggie: Well, she can forget about that.

Victor: Maggie, come on. Even Jennifer thinks you should give me a chance.

Maggie: Victor, we are not discussing this right now.

Victor: Please. Maggie, just listen.

Maggie: What will it take for you to stop talking about this!

Victor: Agree to go on a date with me.

Maggie looks at him, mad.

Maggie: Fine! One date!

Jennifer comes into the living room, smiling.

Stefano and Taylor are standing in the living room of the DiMera mansion.

Stefano: So, I think I have heard Nicole mention you once.

Taylor: Well, I’m not surprised. Nikki and I weren’t exactly the type of sisters who went to get manicures together.

Stefano: Interesting.

Taylor: Yeah…interesting.

Taylor’s phone rings. Stefano picks it up, and looks at it.

Stefano: Why would this buffoon be calling me? Oh wait.

Taylor: That’s my phone.

Stefano: Yes, sorry.

He hands it to her.

Taylor looks at the call that she missed.

Taylor: So, why is Brady Black a- how did you put it? Buffoon?

Stefano: You seem like a nice girl. Trust me when I tell you that Brady Black is just trouble.

Taylor: Thanks for the advice, but I usually form my own opinions about people.

Stefano: I understand. Wise girl.

Taylor: Thank you. Well, I have my phone, I guess I should leave.

Stefano: No, stay, stay. Have a drink.

EJ is sitting in his hotel room. There is a knock at the door. He opens it, and Jillian is standing outside, with a cart. EJ laughs.

EJ: Wow, you weren’t kidding about lunch.

Jillian laughs.

Jillian: I just can’t wait until dessert.

He smiles at her, and kisses her.

EJ: Maybe we should have dessert first.

Jillian: I like the sound of that.

He kisses her.

Bo and Hope walk into the Horton house.

Hope: Oh my God.

Bo: What?

Hope: You have no idea how good it feels to be inside here. I can feel gram’s spirit.

Bo: That’s good.

They walk into the living room, and she looks shocked as she sees Doug, Julie, Jennifer, Maggie, Ciara, Victor, Nathan, Stephanie, Roman, Caroline, Justin, Adrienne, Carrie, Sami Abe, and Lexie. They all clap for her. Hope starts crying.

Hope: Thank you al so much. You have no idea what this means to me.

They all hug her. Doug walks over to Hope.

Doug: I’ve missed you, princess.

Hope: I’ve missed you too daddy.

Nathan and Stephanie are sitting on the couch in the Horton living room. His phone rings. He answers it.

Nathan: Hello? Ok I’ll be right over.

Stephanie: Who was that?

Nathan: Um, it’s about a patient. I need to go, but I’ll be back soon.

Stephanie: Ok, see you.

He kisses her, and leaves. She sees his phone on the couch.

Stephanie: Nathan, you forgot-

She looks through his calls, and sees that it was Melanie who called. Stephanie looks shocked.

Justin is standing in the kitchen of the Horton house. Adrienne comes in.

Adrienne: Getting more cake?

Justin laughs.

Justin: How did you know?

Adrienne: I know you, Justin Kirikas.

Justin laughs.

Justin: So, what bring you in here?

Adrienne: Just getting a drink.

Justin takes a bite of his cake. There is a piece of crème on his cheek, and Adrienne laughs.

Justin: What?

Adrienne: You have some crème on your cheek.

Justin goes to wipe it but misses.

Adrienne: Oh, I’ll do it.

She grabs a napkin, and wipes his cheek.

Adrienne: There we go.

She turns around, but Justin holds her arm. Adrienne turns back around. Justin kisses her.

Justin: I want to work on us.

Adrienne smiles.

Adrienne: So do I.

Abe and Lexie are standing with Hope in the living room.

Lexie: Hope, I’m so glad your out of there!

Hope: So am I.

Abe: I wish I could do something to make you get out of this undercover mission, and just come home.

Hope: It’s ok, Abe. It’ll be a good break from everything.

Lexie: And when you get back, we are going to spend more time together.

Hope smiles.

Hope: I’d love that, Lexie.

Hope hugs her.

Hope: I’ve missed you.

Sami, Carrie, and Stephanie are sitting on the couch in the living room.

Carrie: Maybe Melanie called about the patient.

Sami: Yeah, she works at the hospital, doesn’t she?

Stephanie: She does, but that’s not why she called. She just needs a man to lean on because she’s so damn dependant.

Sami: Stephanie, if this is what Nathan is doing to you, then it’s not worth it.

Carrie: You two need to have a serious conversation, and decide what to do here.

Victor and Maggie are standing in the living room.

Victor: So, I hope you remembered that you agreed to go on a date with me.

Maggie: Did it ever occur to you that maybe I said that to make you stop talking?

Victor: That hurts!

Jennifer walks over to them.

Jennifer: So, I’ll make you guys reservations at the Penthouse Grille?

Maggie: No!

Victor: That would be great.

Carrie, Sami, and Stephanie go to see Hope.

Stephanie: Aunt Hope, it was so good to see you.

Hope: You too, Stephanie.

Stephanie hugs her.

Carrie: Take care.

Hope: Carrie, it was so good seeing you. Will you still be in Salem when I get back?

Carrie: I should be.

Carrie hugs her. Sami hugs her.

Sami: We’re going to have get together more often when you get back.

Hope: Definitely.

Sami, Carrie, and Stephanie leave. Jennifer walks to Hope.

Jennifer: Look at them.

She points to Victor and Maggie.

Hope: There’s an unlikely couple if I ever saw one.

Jennifer laughs.

Jennifer: He lets out a spark in her that I haven’t seen in a while.

The doorbell rings.

Jennifer: I’ll go get that.

Jennifer goes to the door, and opens it. Bill and Abby are standing outside.

Jennifer: Oh my God!

Jennifer hugs them.

Bill: How’s my little girl?

Jennifer: I’ve missed you daddy.

Jennifer looks at Abby.

Jennifer: And I didn’t know you were coming back so soon.

Abby: It was a surprise to me too, mom.

Jennifer hugs her. They go into the living room.

Maggie: Bill! Abby!

She goes to hug them.

Maggie: It’s so good to see you two.

Abby: I’ve missed you, Aunt Maggie.

Maggie: Oh, me too.

Maggie hugs Bill. Bill walks over to Hope.

Hope: Hi, Uncle Bill.

Bill hugs her.

Bill: It’s too bad that you have to leave when I come.

Hope: It is. But when I get back, we are going to catch up!

Bill: We are!

Hope looks at the time.

Hope: Oh God, I have to leave.

Jennifer: Already?

Hope: Yes. Oh thank you all so much. You have no idea what I’m feeling right now.

They all hug her. Hope picks up Ciara.

Hope: I’m sorry I have to leave so soon sweetie.

Ciara: You said you would be back soon, right?

Hope: Of course honey. Just know that mommy always loves you.

Ciara: I love you too mommy.

Hope hugs her. Bo walks over to her.

Bo: Need a ride?

Hope smiles at him.

Hope: Sure.

Hope looks at everyone.

Hope: Thank you guys. Bye!

Everyone yells out bye, and Bo and Hope leave. Outside, Hope hugs Bo.

Hope: This wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Bo: I guess I had a little something to do with it.

Hope laughs.

Hope: You had a lot to do with it.

Hope hugs him again.

Hope: Thank you.
