Dru's hands want to do the talkin on Phyllis for yet another power trip

Neil is happy to hear that Lily wants to take some extra courses over the summer. After learning how much the classes will cost, Neil tells Lily he will put the funds in her account today. Going over to his laptop, he begins the transfer process, while Lily looks on, obviously pleased to get the money in the account. Kissing her father, she tells him that she’s going to hurry up and sign up. Once outside, she dials Dr. Joanna Cray to meet with her for a possible appointment.

JT and Amanda are coming back from a vigorous exercise routine when they see Kevin at the athletic club. Amanda tells JT that she is getting tired of seeing his face wherever she goes. JT opts for them to leave and go back to his place for lunch. As they are leaving, Kevin approaches Amanda. Kevin begs Amanda to step down from testifying against Gloria. Amanda becomes upset, which puts JT on alert. He tells Kevin to back off and to accept that his mother is going to be in jail for a long time for what she did.

Katherine is in her office, sipping on coffee when Jill barges in. Slamming the door hard, Katherine nearly spills the coffee when startled. Looking at her daughter, she asks what she did this time. Jill tells her that she won’t be satisfied until Cane is completely out of her life again. Katherine thinks she’s talking foolish and dismisses her comment. Jill asks why she wasn’t invited to dinner with them. Laughing a little, Katherine asks if that is the reason for the slamming of doors. Jill snaps that Katherine stole all opportunity to spend time with her son in the past, but she’ll be damned if she lets her do it again.

At Jabot, Jack and Brad are in a conference room discussing Brad’s stocks that were pulled when he was still at Newman. Brad cuts to the chase and asks Jack what it is that he wants. Jack tells him that he would like Brad to use his stocks to invest in Jabot. Brad asks what the reason is in doing so. Jack wants to buy out Katherine’s shares and Brad has enough for them to do so. Brad agrees; as long as he has the position of being Senior Executive of Jabot. Jack reluctantly agrees.

Drucilla is looking over the latest shots that were taken for an upcoming promotion for NVP. Shaking her head, she tells Phyllis that some of the shots don’t look just right. Taking a photo from her, Phyllis tells her that she has a better idea, but it would require a change in location and clothing. Sighing heavily, Dru tells Phyllis that she doesn’t want to go all over the place taking pictures. Phyllis reminds her that as long as she’s her boss and overseeing the shoots, she’ll do whatever shoot they need to get done. When Dru gets up in Phyllis’ face a heated argument ensues.

Michael looks over the case file on Gloria; reading over how the prosecution is going to tear her apart on the stand. Sighing a little, he tells Gloria that it doesn’t look too good for them. Overly confident, Gloria tells Michael that it won’t matter what the prosecution says about her, he will cast doubt on everything they say. Putting the file down, Michael tells her that the best thing that they have to keep her out of jail is pleading guilty by reason of insanity. Gloria is outraged, telling Michael she’s not about to ruin her image by stating she’s crazy.

At NVP, Daniel, who is looking for his mother, can hear arguing in one of the conference rooms. Opening the door, he quickly separates Dru and Phyllis from one another. Dru tells Daniel that his mother is about to see her hands do the talking on her face. Phyllis says that if she were wise she’d just do as she’s told. Daniel tells Phyllis to cut the power trip and leave Dru alone.

When Jill sees Jack in the Jabot coffee room, she closes the door behind her. She asks Jack where he gets off making decisions left and right without talking to her first. He asks her what she is talking about. She tells him that Brad informed her of his role as Senior Executive. Jack tells her that he had to give him the position in order to get him to use his stocks to buy out Katherine’s shares at Jabot. Jill realizes that with less power at Jabot, Katherine won’t be there as often. Smiling at Jack, she tells him that he did a good job.

Returning back to the Winters’ house, Dru tells Neil about her spat with Phyllis. Daniel takes a seat on the couch and tells Neil that his mother is just on another of her power trips. Neil tells both Dru and Daniel that Lily was over there to discuss taking some summer classes. Dru is happy that her baby will be taking some classes to get a head start before the fall semester. Daniel says that she mentioned nothing to him about it.

Lily, in the office with Dr. Cray, tells her that she thinks she’s ready to make plans to have the implant surgery. Dr. Cray wants Lily to be very sure that this is what she wants to do. Nodding, Lily is positive. Smiling, the doctor tells Lily to go to the receptionist desk to make her payment. As Lily is making her down payment for the operation, her cell phone goes off. Answering the phone, she’s surprised to get a call from Daniel. He asks her why she didn’t tell him that she’s applying for summer classes.

NEXT ON GENOA CITY

Jill: “I don’t see why either one of you should care if I move out or not.”

Cane: "I care because I love and care about you… We both do.”

Lauren: “Michael, if you don’t have time to spend with your son, I can always find a babysitter to

look after him. I know, after all, your mother comes first, right?

Michael: No babysitter is seeing my son today. I will be doing that, so you can leave him with me.

Nick: “Don’t think you are going to overrule my decision on Amanda, sis. She’s staying right

where she is.

Victoria: “I don’t see why she needs to stay any longer in Genoa City when our company needs

representation in other areas of the state”

This episode was PERFECT! Dynamic. Well-balanced.

I loved how Jill was ready give Jack hell and then he told her exactly what she needed to hear. How Dru went at Phyllis and how Daniel didn't really defend her.

Oh Lily, Lily, Lily! Looks like Danny boy's got you now... I'm finding myself really loving this story.

The Amanda character is certainly an interesting addition...
