New Head Writer Announced!

By: Tele Vision

The executives behind "General Hospital/Port Charles" announced today that long-time friend and SON member Tishy Smith will join the SONBC Award Nominated Daytime Drama "Port Charles" as the co-head writer.

"We're thrilled to welcome this wonderfully talented woman to our show," said Ryan Chandler. "She's known for telling compelling stories that take characters and viewers on a great emotional ride, and her creative vision promises to continue the show's refocused tradition of cutting-edge storylines. Fans can expect great character driven drama, well thought out storylines and great fallout this coming summer.'"

"I believe that Tishy and Ryan will combine their ability and take creative and emotional risks, while staying true to character integrity and honesty. I look forward to working with her and welcoming her to 'Port Charles,'" says consulting producer Jennifer Snyder.

Ms. Smith previously wrote "The Citizens of Port Charles," a well written, fast paced show that kept viewers glued to their screens. Tishy will first appear in the writing credits next week.
