After this week, readers should not expect to see much of Jaime Lynn Bauer and Bill Hayes who play Laura Horton and Doug Williams, respectively. The two talented cast members have now joined Lauren Ambrose (Stephanie Johnson) and Tonya Boyd (Celeste), who also last aired this week. "Both of them will last air on Friday, and they will both be written out in a very open ended way."...says the headwriter. "Julie will still be on the canvas which bodes very well for a return for Doug."

"As previously reported, Josh Taylor (Roman Brady) will be out in late January, and Roark (Mike Horton), Christie (Carrie Brady), and Austin (Austin Peck) will all last air during February Sweeps. The blog is narrowing its cast in order to focus on a smaller number of cast members. The rest of the winter and the spring...well, let's just say everything is going to be 'Do or Die!' There's no room for any cast members who won't be used to their full potential."
