Liza comes down the stairs. She is dressed for the day. She is on her phone.

LIZA:

I need you to tell Jillian that she needs to plead guilty. The D.A. is an old friend of mine. He is prepared to make a plea bargain. If you can get her to plead guilty, than she will not get life. She will get ten years; plus probation. Alright, see you then. Bye.

She moves over to her coffee maker. Caleb comes up behind her. She turns around.

CALEB:

LIZA:

CALEB:

Anyways, we need to talk about last night.

Madison and Scott are talking in the living room.

MADISON:

I hope you know that I am not mad over the whole J.R. thing. I understand why you did not want to tell me about him. You did not want me to think about that night. That terrible night when Erica was shot.

SCOTT:

I still should have came forward.

MADISON:

I do not want this affecting our relationship. It is just J.R.

SCOTT:

I don't think you know what you just said there.

Scott pours himself some water.

MADISON:

I know that J.R. wants to reclaim his life here in Pine Valley. But, we are not going to let that bother us. I will not let him harm our relationship in any way. We are stronger than ever Scott. You know that. I know that. The whole world knows that!

SCOTT:

MADISON:

Erica, he just got back into Pine Valley last night. How do you know he is here?

ERICA:

I have my ways. Opal drove by my home last night. On the way there she saw Jackson on your door step.

MARISA:

I see.

ERICA:

Did you think that I would NEVER find out.

BARISTA:

Order for Tasker!

MARISA:

I gotta go. Come by the house. Anytime.

Marisa walks off for her order. Erica pulls out her phone. She looks at a photo.

INT. CALEB AND LIZA'S HOME - MORNING

Liza kisses Caleb on the cheek.

LIZA:

I am so sorry about last night.

CALEB:

I am too.

LIZA:

What do you mean? That was like a cryptic message.

CALEB:

(Sighs) Well..., Liza I had something planned for us.

LIZA:

What do you mean?

CALEB:

I was going to tell you my true feelings. You were going to find out how much I truly do love you. But, I get it. You wanted time alone. You wanted to grab a drink, and do some work. Even though, you knew that we planned this night, a whole month in advance.

LIZA:

And I am sorry! But, you have to know that I have things to do.

CALEB:

And you know that we have a relationship.

LIZA:

Listen, I love you Caleb. We have been together for three years, and three months now. I know how much this relationship means to us. But, I am trying to defend a woman who is being prosecuted for murder.

CALEB:

That is great to hear.

LIZA:

What exactly were you going to do last night Caleb?

CALEB:

Dammit Liza! I was going to propose to you!

Annie gets out a piece of paper. She gets out a pen. Annie begins writing.
