  1. And by the way...who is up for some retro Tracy fan fic? Who wants to see Tracy on the continent with a tall, dark and romantic Latin man? We have some Tracy gaps in GH history, do we not? So she has the potential to have a mysterious man in her past and the stage has been set since she dropped the bomb that she had met (at least a relative) on "the continent."

What do you think Tracy lovers? I mean I love my LuNacy, but there was Tracy before Luke and damn it, I'm sick of her not having a hot love life in the past.

  2. I loved Tracy and Luke today. She looked so happy and they were so in sync. I just love this pairing. It's sheer genius. Look at how they are in sync with blowing Scott and Logan's worlds apart at the ball because it's the right time. LOL They just make me smile. I can fast forward through everything but those two. And I want to see Luke with AZ! I would love to see Luke and Tracy go up against AZ. Now that would be a match. Why can't we get any of Luke and Tracy going up against Helena? Tracy would make a good Cassadine rival.

    More Tracy! More Tracy!

  3. I actually liked the Tracy and Logan scene yesterday. She's just what that actor needs to make him better.

I will be so happy to see them today, especially scheming with each other. They make me laugh, smile, say awww, feel sad and get angry. That's why I love them! They bring it all on.

The heck with Soap Dish. I want more naked LuNacy!

  4. I didn't think she had a thing with Ramon, I thought she knew Luke was back and was messing with him. Scotty had already dropped the bomb about Lulu giving Logan a second chance and him dropping the charges. I assumed she called him which was how he knew to come back and even if she didn't (maybe Alice did), she would know Luke's touch and kiss so she knew it was him.

But if she did have a thing for Ramon, I would forgive her because she's Tracy.

  5. Rrrrrrrrrrrrramon LOL

You bet your butt he would have had a fit if she had said Lorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrenzoooooooo. LOL

I floved it!!!!! I loved all of her scenes today. I loved the way she jumped when Alice touched her back.

She looks great! I love all the hair flipping!

I just love my girl and I'm so glad Luke is back to his spanky buns. Break out the black leather and bring it on!!!!

  6. Deleting LuNacy (sorry, love that name almost as much as Spacy LOL) threads is silly. Laura is out of the picture for now and Genie may never come back. Luke can't be by himself out there. Luke and Tracy together are great and it was a stroke of genius on TG's part. I never would have thought of it and the first time I tuned in during Dec. 2005, I laughed myself silly over the idea. I LOVED it! LnL1 were the reason I first started seriously tuning in during the late 70's and when they left, I left shortly thereafter. So, if I can love LuNacy, no one has any business having a problem with it. The relationship is completely different, so believable and brilliant! It works. There isn't only one type of relationship for Luke. It's never been that way in the past. Now there are inherent story telling problems if Laura comes back, just like there were last year, but we can handle those when or if they ever happen. The fact is that if they are Spencer fans, they should want Luke to go on without Laura and Tracy allows that. He needs someone like Tracy after losing Laura. Tracy won't let him lay down and wallow in his pain. She makes him keep going. She makes him fun again! That is why they are so great. That and the unexpectedness, of course.

They need to get a grip. Tracy is the best thing to happen to Luke since Laura left. She probably saved the character from obscurity.

  7. Knh,

I sent you a PM with feedback for your story. I very much enjoyed it. I like stories that take place mostly in the mind. I liked that you contained it to two scenes, but conveyed so much about the character, her past, her likes, her fears, her hopes and her conflict with her "friend." It was a very tight and strong piece. Well done!

  8. TracyLove...you are becoming the recap queen of the thread! :) Good job. So what do you think the outcome was? Will Lulu move back in? She seems like she was sort of faltering at the end (and who is Monica to tell her she has to get a job or go to school. Suprised Lulu didn't tell her where she could go!!! I mean really, I want lulu back in that house in the worst way...but why would she go live with them when she could come and go as she wants with Lucky and Liz. Maybe in her own way...she really does care for Tracy.

It was sad though...when Monica said "cook said there would be 4 for dinner tonight." So sad that the Qs are reduced to three of them at that house (WTF is Dillon by the way???) So scott is off in July? Where does he go...in search of Laura too? As much as I hate Skye and think Emily is so boring, etc...I wish they would come back home and live at the Qs again before they dwindle down to absolutely nothing.

So my take is that Edward for sure will bring Ned back temporarily to fill in for Tracy when she is commited. She is going to be committed on the 18th I think IloveTracyQ That is the straight jacket day!

I do think she will be on tomorrow cause Alan is supposed to pay her another visit on the 13th I thought. Maybe in jail and lulu has to bail her out this week too. Either today or tomorrow I guess.

Hair lost some oomph Ms Q if you are reading this...must have flattened out from wearing the blonde wig! Don't like her shirt...either she has a dark bra on underneath it or a dark shell type thing...either way...looks funny...that is my wardrobe comment. I hope we see her in jail in Port Charles Jail denim shirt like Jason--but I doubt it. Jason just hangs out in the interrogation room. No cell time for him.

Will be around later...very busy on the thread today!!

BTW...my son returned home from his trip safe and sound (his first flying alone vacation). Whew!

Hmmm Just a few comments. I usually deal with my show distress in my fic, so here goes. In my fic they bring Laura back and Luke must tell her why he married Tracy. There isn't disrespect to Tracy over it. Laura understands why he's with someone like Tracy - because he NEEDS to be. Nuff said. I did kill off Alan although I went into mourning over it and my writing slowed down to almost non-existent over the whole ordeal. Monica and Alan were one of my fav couples of all time, which says just how demented I am! I floved those two in the 80's. Tracy needs a hot shrink to heal her pain.... hmmmm A new character maybe? I started a spin off fic for Lulu and the kids (in keeping with Summer) and I am bringing Brook Lynn and Dillon back for the whole adventure. I'm also putting Ned in. I'm sad about the Q's and need them back. Oh and I killed Skye off because I can't stomach that character. Emily I can deal with although she needs more backbone to be a real Q, but she's tolerable.

So, I've been spinning Tracy tales in my head for the future and I think I know exactly who I am going to pit against Luke. Tee hee hee Someone who really did play well off Tracy and should have had some time with her but never did. Someone smooth, sophisticated, educated, polished, romantic and ruthless. Just the sort of man to set Luke's teeth on edge and make him take notice. Besides, I like writing about him and it will give Tracy some STEAMY scenes which she deserves.

    Okay. Now back to work.

  9. Kristin if you'll PM me the link to your story I'll read it tomorrow.

The first two links you've posted have expired and the third one is sendspace. I never can get sendspace to work on my home computer.

I'm PM'ng you my email address. I'll read the story tomorrow. :)

Daily clips are available here. SomethingMore.net

Tracy has been fantabulous! I'm so glad that Lulu is sticking up for her the way she is. I hope Lulu helps her fight Edward to pay her back for helping her mom. I love it when Tracy sees herself in Lulu and those two work together. They are great schemers and it is so much better than them trying to sell the Lulu/Carly bond (gag).

All the LuNacy stuff was great! I love those two together. I even like Tracy and Alan because they spar so well. I just like anything that gets her more screentime. She's become the only thing I like.

  10. Just don't do what I have done twice which is cut my hair from butt length to over the ears. I also have thin, straight and flat hair. Adding anything to it makes it flatter (which every stylists finds out when they try to do anything with it LOL). I had one perm give it body once, but that was done in Italy and you could smell the perm solution every time I washed my hair for the next six months. It didn't curl it (although they used the smallest rods), but it did give it a little body. Coloring my hair actually gives it the most lift and even that isn't much. So hopefully, you hair has more natural body than mine (why did all my brothers get the wavy and curly hair anyway???).

I tend to cut mine kind of like Tracy's cut now. It's in a bob that curves so that it looks as though it actually frames my face and they curve the front down so it is slightly longer and swings when I move. That cut works really well on me, but I have a small and rather long looking face. For some reason that cut makes my face look more normal (at least to me) and it makes my hair look like I've actually done something to it when in fact I comb it out and go. I keep it somewhere between chin and shoulder in that cut.

  11. Travels in Mexico and zip-lining...ahhhh I love those things. Must be why they ended up in my last fic! LOL Hmmm Maybe I'll have Tracy follow Luke on an adventure and have her do some zip-lining and parasailing! I can just picture that in my mind!

I was so depressed over Alan's demise at Guza's hands that I could barely write my fic and didn't feel like posting at all. I don't know how this funk lasted so long since he and Tracy have had more screen time and better lines since this happened. I am loving it and the Lunacy/Lucy (Lulu/Tracy) interaction. I adore Tracy with Lulu. I really hope they take their time with it and do it justice. It reminds me of the step mother/step daughter relationship in Moonlight and Valentino. I'm hoping they go down a similar path, but I'm so distrustful of Snuza.

It must be vacation time that put me straight finally. I went to Hawaii and that seemed to do it. I just needed the Pacific breezes to blow Snuza right out of my hair!

Hmmm, just thinking about Lunacy makes me want to write about those two. I do love them and I was a diehard LnL1 fan! Of course, I always adored Tracy and Luke as individual characters, Laura just came with the package of Luke. I guess I think like Tracy!!!!! Doesn't she look wonderful? She's so strong and in control in that courtroom scene. I am so glad they have never managed to destroy her character.

Here's hoping Lulu models herself after Tracy instead of that pathetic whiner Carly.

  12. Hi all,

I haven't been around in awhile, but LOVING all the Tracy scenes! She's getting so much more screen time and she looks wonderful. Since they killed off my eye candy, Ted, Tracy is about the only interesting thing happening! I love to see her and TG sparring. She's also much better with Alan now that he's a ghost! Anyway, I'm just happy to get my Tracy fix.

And speaking of Tracy and other Q fixes, I'm thinking of writing a Q fic after my Scrubs fic wraps up. What is the best place to post it? I'm trying to decide if it's Lunacy or if I'm going to take Tracy in an entirely different direction. Hmmmm Anyway, I'm spinning it in my head. Anything you all would like to see? I have to tell you, I'm no Skye or Jason fan, in fact I just killed them off, so I'm not real wild about writing them although Skye/Tracy sparring is always good for a laugh. Let your ideas fly! Anything is possible as long as Tracy comes out looking regal and in charge.

Happy Birthday, Deb! Hope the rest of you have a good Monday.

  13. I loved Ned's scene with Alexis, but really, Tracy should have had at least that long with him. It was sad to be on the Scrubs live thread yesterday because they love the Q's so much. One quoted Ned saying "it's nice to be seen." They all said it was nice to have seen Ned too.

I do think calling and writing can save Alan. I know I've been all over the Scrubbie fans to quit their damn whining and call and write! I can't stand whiners, sorry. This explains a lot about why I love Tracy! Of course, I had a few other choice comments while I was at it. LOL (If you don't like that blog then quick clicking on it.)

I miss Ned. I miss them all (with the notable exception of Jason and that is sad because once upon a time I loved Monica's special connection to Jason). Well, I don't miss the fake Q's (Emily and Skye). And where is Brook Lynn? This is how we find out they all moved to Manhattan? (grumbles) I wish the Q's would stage a takeover. Luke could break in and steal Guza's laptop and Spinelli could put a virus in there that would take down all of the computers at ABC, wiping out all storylines for the past year (except Tracy and Luke which will be miraculously saved by Luke).

So, there's my Christmas wish. To get my Q's back. (Oh and Lo must be silent and grim, but seduced at all times. Some men just shouldn't speak.)

Have a Merry Christmas, happy Hannukah and Winter Solstice (yes, I know it was the 21st, it was the 21st this year wasn't it?). May all of our Q dreams come true in the next year.

  14. Tracy scenes! Tracy scenes!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!! She looks great! And loved her look at Lo and Skye, that half disgusted, do I even have to gaze upon this look. But I do love me some Lo. Naked of course with an olive on top. LOL He's just boring with Skye. Now, with Tracy.... <sigh>

I expected at least one smart crack about Luke for the holidays.

I felt so bad for Alan. I think I'll go call the line and spew some vitriol at TPTB. That will be their gift for Christmas. If I could get coal there in time, I would send it.

  15. Zanne, about the campaign. I mentioned it at SOC, and I already got people emailing me for more information. :D

Yeah! Great for the campaign! And the vid sounds great! I'll have to watch it later. I'm writing my little fingers off, but no Tracy today, although Lulu has a nice conversation with Diego and says good things about Tracy.

  16. The Metro Court scene with Lo has to be my favorite. He's trying so hard not to laugh and TK is pretty hard to ruffle. Ed Matsos is completely intimidated by him and says he's one cool customer. That makes the fact that JE can fluster him all the more funny. I just love that he said he wanted Lo to be with Tracy and this was when she was wearing the big tent jackets. It shows how much he admires her as an actress. I also love that he says he can't say Lo back with Carly now that LW plays her because she's too hard. He said she'd have to really soften up and he can't see that happening. But Tracy is soft? LMAO Ok. I guess we know where he stands on that recast. I don't know. I just find it hysterically funny. SkyLo = ZZZZ to me and I think Tracy would agree. TraLo would be hilarious. And I do have to say (God help my LnL1 loving self) that I absolutely adore Lunacy and think that couple name is just so perfect for the two of them!

OMG I love that character. I always did. She is the quintessential Quartermaine. Lulu should be so lucky as to have her as a mentor.

On that note, here is the bedroom scene with Tracy and Pete for your laughing pleasure. Remember that Tracy has been tying one on.

    ________________________________________________________________________________

    ___________________________________________________

Quartermaine Mansion, Tracy’s Room - Midnight

Tracy laughed and Pete put his hand over her mouth. “Shhh,” he said, laughing quietly. “You’ll wake the house.”

“I don’t care!” Tracy said, falling over the bench at the bottom of her bed. “Woops!”

Pete laughed and helped her up. “You are so drunk. You should never have tried to do shots of Tequila with me before we shot pool.”

She laughed. “Honey, I am too old, too drunk and too tired to care what I should and shouldn’t do. I shouldn’t have been stupid enough to marry some shiftless adventurer who was still in love with his Catatonic wife, but I did it anyway.” She narrowed her eyes at him. “Do you know where he is right now?” she asked.

Pete shook his head while he took off her shoes.

“He’s with her! She relapsed into a vegetable, but does he come home to me, the one who held him together through the past year?” She waved her hand. “No! He runs to Laura! Laura! God, she makes me sick. She’s like eating too much of a sweet dessert. So sweet it makes you sick.”

Pete smiled crookedly. “Well, I don’t like super sweet girls as you very well know,” he said, pulling her clothes over her head.

She laughed and shook her finger at him. “Oh, I know that. You are a bad, bad boy and I am a bad, bad girl for wanting you.”

He took off his shirt and watched her. She really was cute when she was falling down drunk. “Well, I like bad, bad girls," he said, leaning over her until she was lying back on the bed.

She grinned at him. “Are you going to try to give me a spanking?” she asked, raising her eyebrow.

He kissed her neck. “I might,” he said huskily.

She slapped his backside and her hand made a loud crack against the tight denim of his jeans. “I’m the only one who’s doing the spanking around here,” she said archly.

He kissed her behind the ear. “I prefer it if you rub it instead,” he said. He moved around to her mouth and kissed her hard. They forgot everything then about Luke and Laura and co-eds. They only remembered their own strange alliance and where it was taking them.

  17. What's so funny about when I wrote this is that I didn't know about Coleman yet. I watched GH until 20 years ago and tuned out until last year. The one scene I have always remembered was Tracy not giving Daddy the pills when he was having a heart attack. I remembered that scene all these years.

Actually, in my fic, Laura was back for good until Helena pulled her nasty number. Luke was with Laura and hadn't divorced Tracy. I pretty much wrote it that this was Tracy taking action so that he would have to do something or she would. Of course, her proclamation at the end of that scene is her proclamation that she is going to do something. Laura will come back again in my fic, so Tracy will take action, even if she is heart broken. Yes, Tracy does get her feelings hurt, but she does not pull a weepy Sam, she does something. Since he didn't have money I could have her swindle him out of in some way, I had her do this. Basically humiliate him the way she'd been humiliated.

So, maybe not a Tracy thing except in my mind, but there you have it none-the-less.

And, the whole fact that Scrubs needed some Tracy in their story!

Now see, I could have put her with Lo. After all, Ted King says Tracy is the one Lo should be paired with on GH. That completely cracks me up. I love when she acts opposite TK because you can just see him trying not to lose it while in character. JE rocks!

  18. I love that there is a Tracy ficathon site. I have to go check this out. I write a marathon Scrubs fic, that is really misnamed since it's very ensemble GH of the 80's type fic. Anyway, since I love me some Tracy and all of the LnL1 stuff was going on, I decided, hey, what would Tracy really do if the writers let her loose? She would go get her some revenge booty of the young sort! I mean come on, this is Tracy. She wouldn't just be hurt feelings and yelling, she would do something. So, in the course of all things being Tracy equal, I had her sitting at the old MC knocking back some martinis when who walks in but Prof Pete (who of course has showered in my fic). He and Tracy hit it off (I've already made him into some big time female heart surgeon's plaything) and later on they 'hook up,' to use Lulu's phrase. The next morning, Luke leaves Laura who is back to Catatonic (after the evil Helena and Dr. Henri (remember him from Paris???) drug her), he goes home and meets up with Lulu who is looking for her final class schedule (which Tracy is holding hostage so Lulu must talk to her for a change). Luke tells Lulu to come on up and he'll ask Tracy. Walking down the hall to the bedroom, they see Dillon, who stops to talk to Lulu. Meantime Luke opens the door and what do they all see?

They walked down the hall, following close behind Luke. He turned the doorknob and tried to open it, but it caught on something. “What the hell?” he asked. Lulu and Diego were standing right behind him now and Dillon had walked up, wondering what all the commotion was.

“Can I help you?” he asked Lulu, just as the door finally gave and opened wide.

Four faces registered shock as they took in the scene. Clothes were strewn all over the room, including some that looked distinctly like black leather. There in the bed sitting up with their hands over their eyes and their mouths hanging open were Tracy…and Professor Pete.

“Oh!” Dillon cried out in shock, turning away. “Oh,” he said again as if he were going to be sick.

“Oh my God,” Lulu said, her mouth hanging open. “This is so much worse than walking in on your Dad and Lena.”

Diego grabbed her arm and turned her around. “Lulu just wanted to pick up her final registration,” he said awkwardly, sure that his whole face was red.

“Well, come back later, for God’s sake,” Tracy yelled, then held her head.

“What in the hell is he doing here?” Luke asked in shock.

Pete threw back the covers and stood up. “Just taking an interest in an intelligent, attractive woman,” he said. He arched a brow as he started to pull on his clothes. “Do you have a problem with that?”

“No,” Tracy told Pete. “He has Laaaauuuura!” She let the sheet drop and looked at Luke. “Shut the door and don’t come back,” she said in a flat voice. “This isn’t your room or your house any longer.”

Luke shut the door, still stunned.

“Uh, we’ll stop by later,” Diego said.

    “But,” Lulu said.

“Later,” Diego told her firmly, taking her arm and leading her down the hall. As they reached the stairs they heard Luke yell out, “Tracy!!!!” Diego kept walking, only faster.

Yes, I still have Diego alive. I don't have to worry about actor availability. Anyway, there is your laugh for this morning. I can post their funny bedroom scene from the night before as well. Sometimes, I just give Tracy screen time in my fic because I miss her so much. And Lulu's referenced to his dad and Lena refers to Lorenzo and an original character, Lena. Diego and Lulu are always catching Lorenzo and Lena in various states of undress. LOL

  19. I'm hoping against hope the Stuart Damon rumor isn't true. It's making me sick. Alan and Monica are so great. I can't even imagine GH with no Alan. Anyway, the site for the big Fix GH campaign is ready. Here's the link. This may be the one way we can help our poor Q's!

I wanted to let everyone know that there is a message board that has been created to work on campaigning to fix General Hospital. The message board is set up where we will not be discussing characters or couples but working on fixing the problems of General Hospital as a whole. Here is the link to the board and I encourage everyone to join in on the campaigns and make our voices heard. Fix General Hospital - High Level Campaign for All Fans

Here is the mission statement that we have set up on the Fix General Hospital campaign message board:

The Fix General Hospital Campaign will target Disney executives and show sponsors in an effort to return General Hospital to its former greatness. To this end, we will demand balanced and thoughtful storylines, character integrity, respect for history and vets, and meaningful family, friend and love relationships.

As fans both old and new, from many and diverse fanbases, we will not tolerate the further degradation of this program, its characters and its history due to careless and sensationalized storytelling catering to the least common denominator and focused on a select few characters. We deserve and demand better. Our unified campaign begins here and now.

As a participant in this campaign, it is imperative that you read the Board Guidelines. Strict adherence to these guidelines is what will give us the synergy necessary to wage a highly effective campaign.

  20. Zanne Marie, you wouldn't mind if I shared your post with the forum, Jane Elliot Online, would you? (I'd link them over here.) I'd be willing to participate, but I can't see see myself sending out a lot of letters the "old-fashioned" way. I could send out some like that, but I'd probably be more inclined to send emails even though those probably hold less importance. But we'll see. Thanks for stopping in. :)

So, there's a Quartermaine spoiler for Monday's episode (tomorrow)...

Lulu introduces the Q's to Spinelli. Does this mean we get to see Tracy? I think Spinelli is an annoying, pointless character, who serves no other purpose than to take time away from those actors who actually deserve it, BUT...If it gives my favorite family something to do, even if it's 10 seconds, I guess I can't complain...much. ;) Tracy's reaction alone should be priceless, LOL!

Absolutely, share the post! I couldn't agree more on Spinelli. Why can we spend money on these new characters and no money for our vets to have time? I asked for the numbers on what these newbies cost compared to the vets. They keep bringing them on contract and doing early pay out. I plan on running a cost analysis and presenting that to Iger at Disney. I also want to do a cost analysis on what their poor viewer ratings are doing to their ad sales prices. Hmmm Wonder what I will find? The Q's would be so proud!

And by the way, we are only doing two mailings and we will create the contents with the reps. One is a post card and the other a letter. That's it. Two big hits to the Disney head honchos.

    Zanne

  21. You kind of caught the group at a bad time with everyone away for the holidays but as soon as our bulk gets back onlnie, we most likely will be game. I know I am.

We're all kind of in that boat. We are hoping to gear up for a January mass mailing. We've already created a neutral forum site to use so we don't have to clog up any one else's. Gosh, if this is what we got for Christmas, I would be so happy. Right now, I'm just happy to finally find Tracy fans! She rocks!

  22. Okay, fellow Tracy lovers! I wondered where you lived. Took me forever to find this board. Finally! People who love Tracy and have since she started that show. She is the best! She has made me laugh all these years with her antics and I love Jane. I even love her with Lorenzo. I can tell Ted King just wants to bust out laughing. It's so great because he's so cool about everything.

Anyway, I know this is a bit off topic, but not much. I wanted to post this once in here to try to direct you all to a campaign to fix GH big time and restore the characters, relationships, family and friends we loved so much. I know that Q lovers, and Tracy lovers will want to be on board with this. Read on and let me know what you think. You can post here, PM me or email me. If you are into it, we are having each group pick delegates to work on the communications to send. That person will work with all of you to coordinate the communication and timing of the mass mailing. It's time to take back our show and save our Tracy!

One of the things I think all of us can agree upon on this board is that Tracy needs her screen time and her family. Never was this more evident than the past weeks as she went through her mini-breakdown while Luke was with Laura. Yes we had some scenes, but then it was almost dropped. Tracy had a wonderful scene where she told Luke to go help Lulu, then it was dropped when TG went on hiatus. Then, we were supposed to accept that Tracy would allow Lulu to go missing and not find out what was going on? Not the Tracy I know! She would have been up Lorezo's you know what figuring out where Lulu was. She would have been all over Sonny about keeping Lulu in mob business. Tracy was never any shrinking violet and while they keep showing hints of this, they keep dropping the ball. I want to see that old GH back. It was a ratings winner. As you all pointed out, if that show had TG, JE, RC, TK, NG, and RH every day of the week, they would be off the charts. You are absolutely right about that. We all talk about it and we all think nothing can be done, but that is not true at all. Please read on. As I said, I won't post this again in here. My intent is not to clog your wonderful Tracy worship post. It's just to make you aware of a campaign that is big picture, but will help all the vets and even the new characters in the end. I love Tracy too and I want her saved from the powers that be.

So, having said that, I say it's time to bring the House of Mouse down on the head of ABC Daytime. I am sick and tired of writing to ABC execs who are married to ideas I am not willing to support. If they can't change, they must go. It is that simple. And, if you think it can't be done, think again. Disney just put in a new CEO who is cleaning house. Everything is under scrutiny, including ABC Media division. Now is when we need to launch a big cross fan base campaign to get them out. There are already several fan bases out there willing to put aside their couple/character campaigning in this bigger picture campaign (they will still do their couple/character campaigning separate from this). The bottom line is that everyone is starting to realize that without a regime change, our couples and characters are doomed anyway.

So, having said that, this is the bottom line. If you want people out, you have to talk money. This is what execs understand and they will pay attention. We have numbers on our side and Disney, for one, is extremely sensitive to campaigns that target Disney visitor numbers. It's hardball time. We need to tell the House of Mouse we've had it and not only won't we be watching GH while this garbage is on, we won't go to Disney either. Please read on. Trust me, this will work.

Every campaign has to focus at its core about the money. Low viewer numbers = low advertiser reach = low profits. It's that simple. Tie your desire for certain storylines to that boat and point out how soap successes are making relationship stories and vets work.

If you don't believe that it's all about the money and Disney (ABC's parent company) is ready to make changes, check this article out. http://money.cnn.com/2006/03/20/news/compa...isney/index.htm

There are some important things in that article. Here are just a few.

"There is buzz about Steve Jobs," said Kelmon. "As opposed to giving the appearance as an old media company dinosaur, it looks like Disney is figuring out what the new mainstream is and they are partnering up with the right people."
This is important to us because not so long ago it was assumed Apple was dead and Jobs with it. Now he's on top and shows he can entice the young market. Another case of an old vet makes a comeback.

During the past two years, ABC has gone from being the laughing stock of the major broadcast networks to arguably the coolest network thanks to hits "Desperate Housewives," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Lost."

Someone got the hint on Primetime and revamped it. We need to do the same. All of these 'hits' revolve around relationships and people in their 20's, mid-30's to 40's. Hardly just the teen set Guza and Frons are married to. Bottom line - someone in charge of primetime finally figured out that Baby Boomers and Xers are a large chunk of the population and they want to see strong characters with strong families in strongrelationships. While we're at it, so do young people. When you campaign for your character as part of a friendship and family supported group, point that out and the tie to the primetime shows.

Credit rating agency Moody's ugraded some of Disney's debt last week. The Moody's analysts noted that Disney "has proven its ability to successfully emerge from a downturn in several lines of businesses through improved strategies in Consumer Products, Parks, and Media Networks segments."
You need to start writing to the parent company, not ABC, and hammering on this. Success elevates stock prices. It's that simple. Yes, they have elevated other lines of business but they are neglecting daytime and they need to get with it. We need to point this out.

Investors have fallen in love with Iger as well. It's worth noting that only two years ago, Disney was a company under siege fighting to remain independent. Activist shareholders, including Roy Disney, the nephew of founder Walt, were calling for the head of then chief executive officer Michael Eisner.

And to top things off, Disney was perceived as being in such a weak competitive position that cable giant Comcast launched an unsolicited takeover bid for the House of Mouse. Comcast eventually walked away from the deal.

But with Eisner stepping down as CEO last September, Iger has been able to make peace with the dissident shareholders as well as with Jobs, who did not get along well with Eisner.

If you think that Frons cannot be taken out in a heartbeat, you are very wrong. If Eisner (former head of Disney) can fall after he saved that company in the 90's, anyone can. All it takes is the investors to start yelling and they start yelling when they see bad press in the financial reports. When an executive makes poor business decisions, it needs to be pointed out to the right people - the people who hold the controls, not the exec who is causing the problem or the people above him protecting him. That will never work. You have to take your battle to the people who can actually help you and speak their language - money. That's all they care about and all they know. If it makes money, they will do it. They can't exist on three shows and they know it. There's a big drive at Disney/ABC to have soap-like dramas on at night. They sell. They've alway sold. They know that, so start campaigning to get your stories back by going to the people who are listening.

Think they don't know? Look at this:

Disney chief executive officer Bob Iger has already taken steps to ally Disney more closely with Apple (Research) -- videos from Disney-owned networks, ABC, ABC Family, the Disney Channel, ESPN and SOAPNet are all available at Apple's wildly popular iTunes store.

If they are selling SOAPNet videos through iTunes, they know that soaps have value. You need to take advantage of that fact.

Basically, run this like you would any takeover. You look for where your prey is bleeding and you go for it over and over again until they topple. Sorry for that analogy, but the bottom line is that you cannot win this war by sentiment. You have to win it by cold-blooded business strategy. Any company on top wants to get further up the ladder to put more space between themselves and their competitors. So give them a way to do it and they will listen.

Remember, if this were Tracy and Q's running this campaign, they would take their argument to the people who could actually make a change and they would not be afraid of stepping on some toes along the way (especially Tracy and the Q's!). They would also use whatever tatic they had to in order to win the game. That is exactly what we need to do.

State your case clearly. Y&R is number 1, yet they are all about relationships and their vets are on all the time. Katherine/Jill and Victor/Nikki have been on that show since I watched in the early to mid 70's. They get plenty of airtime. And Y&R is getting the viewers which equals money. In the meantime we have the mob 95% of the time and we are losing viewers like someone cut our bracheal artery. There's a reason for that and the new head of Disney needs to hear it while he's cleaning house. He's on the war path. Now is the time. If we could get the combined forces of all fan bases to come together for this bigger campaign issue, we would all reap the rewards. Every character would get the benefit as well as every relationship, friendship and family.

I don't know about all of you, but I am sick of begging for time for our beloved characters who have proven their ratings worth. If they won't give us what we want, they have to go. What they are doing does not make ABC money. Awards for writing does not equate to dollar signs. It equates to an expensive individual project for Guza, funded by Frons. It's bad business.

What do you think? Can you join this larger reaching campaign for the good of our families?

Here are the Disney addresses. I think we need to mobilize and send them thousands of letters at once.

Please contact me and let me know if your group wants to be on board. We welcome everyone. This is not about any character or couple bashing. If we don't change the current regime, they are just going to ruin our characters and couples anyway. This must happen first.
