Stefano, EJ, and Nicole are in the living room of the DiMera mansion.

Stefano: Elvis, what the hell are you thinking moving her back in here?

EJ: Father, we already discussed this.

Nicole: I’m right here, you know.

Stefano ignores her.

Stefano: She drove Chad away!

Nicole: I did not drive Chad away, first of all! Second, what was he doing here anyway? Are you guys buddies?

EJ: Oh, you didn’t here? Father here has just found out that he sired another son years ago.

Nicole: Wow Stefano, what is that now, 15 kids?

Stefano: Shut up, Nicole!

Chad is sitting in the Java Café. Vivian walks in, and hurries to his table.

Vivian: Hello, Chad! I’m Vivian Alamain!

She grabs his hand and shakes it.

Chad: Do I know you?

Vivian: Oh, I’m an old friend of your fathers! Your biological one, that is.

Chad: Great.

Vivian: So, lets just get to the point. Why don’t you try and connect with him? He is a very influential man, you know?

Chad: I know. Why are you doing this? Did Stefano send you to talk to me?

Vivian: Oh, God no! Why is it that you don’t want anything to do with him?

Chad: Look at that family! Most of his kids are dead. Just a little while ago, Nicole faked a pregnancy, and switched babies! One of which was mine, who died!

Vivian: Oh my, you were the father of Mia’s baby?

Chad: Yes, and now I will never have the chance to know my daughter.

Vivian: Hold on just a minute.

Chad: What?

Vivian: Nicole says the babies were switched?

Chad: So?

Vivian: Who did the switching?

Daniel and Chloe are in their apartment. Chloe opens the folder, and sees Parker’s paternity test. Chloe looks shocked.

Chloe: What the hell is this?

Daniel: You know damn well what that is!

Chloe: Daniel, I can explain!

Daniel: You better explain!

Chloe: Daniel, you are the father! I promise!

Daniel: Not according to this! All those times you had to tell me something, bursting into tears at the drop of a hat; this is why! You cheated on me, and had some other guy’s kid!

Chloe starts crying.

Chloe: No! Daniel, please, you don’t understand. It was the night that I thought you were cheating on me. I made a stupid mistake! I took a paternity test before Parker was born, you are his father!

Daniel: How do I know your not lying? You’ve lied about everything else! Who is it? Who’s Parker’s father?

Bo, Jennifer and Maggie are in Maggie’s kitchen.

Maggie: Bo, please tell me you aren’t going to let Jennifer do this.

Bo: I agree with you, Maggie, but you know how you Horton women are; once you get an idea in your heads, there’s no way its coming out.

Maggie: Jennifer, please think before you do anything.

Jennifer: I think we should all just get some rest now, and go see Hope in the morning.

Bo: That’s a good idea.

Bo and Jennifer put their jackets on. They kiss Maggie goodbye, and leave.

Maggie: Oh God, please help us.

Stefano, EJ, and Nicole are in the living room of the DiMera mansion.

Stefano: Now, back to Chad. I would appreciate it if you would welcome him.

EJ: Father, I don’t have time to bond with a new brother.

Stefano: Damn you! Damn both of you! I am sick and tired of your attitude! I let you live here, I let the snakes you call lovers live here, and this is the appreciation I get!

Nicole: Who are you calling a snake?

EJ: Fine, I will welcome Chad. I’ll throw him a party if you’d like.

Stefano throws his hands in the air.

Stefano: I’m done with you. I’m going to bed.

Stefano leaves the living room.

Nicole: That went well.

Nicole pours herself a drink.

Chad and Vivian are sitting in the Java Café.

Chad: Was I there? How would I know who actually switched the babies?

Vivian: It was a rhetorical question! How do you know for sure that this doctor actually switched the babies?

Chad: I don’t know, why wouldn’t he?

Vivian: Let’s just pretend for a minute that Dr. Cooker-

Chad: Baker.

Vivian: Whatever. Ok, lets pretend that Dr. Baker actually didn’t switch the babies. What if he wanted to cause a huge commotion for nothing? What if Sydney is actually your daughter?

Chad: Now your grasping at straws.

Vivian: It is a possibility, Chad. And I think you should look into it.

Chad: Why are you so interested in this? Do you owe Stefano a favour or something?

Vivian: In a way, yes. But I also want to see a father and son become close.

Chad gets up.

Chad: Have a nice night, Ms. Alamain.

Chad leaves the Java Café.

Daniel and Chloe are in their apartment. Chloe puts down the paternity test.

Chloe: Daniel, please!

Daniel: Tell me who it was!

Chloe: It was nobody important! He doesn’t matter!

Daniel: The hell he doesn’t!

Chloe: Please, Daniel! You’re the father! We can do another paternity test in the morning!

Daniel: Tell me who you slept with!

Chloe: Daniel, please don’t do this!

Daniel: You tell me now, or I will kick you out right now!

Chloe: Ok, I’ll tell you.

Chloe wipes her tears.

Chloe: It was Philip. I slept with Philip.

Daniel looks shocked.

Daniel: That son of a bitch.

Daniel puts on his jacket.

Chloe: Daniel, please!

Daniel leaves the apartment. Chloe starts crying harder.

Rafe walks into his and Sami’s apartment. Sami is on the couch.

Rafe: Hey.

Sami: Hi.

Rafe: Sami, I’m sorry about the way things have been lately.

Sami: It’s not your fault.

Rafe: I was just trying to make it better for you.

Sami: The only way this will get better is if I get my kids back.

Rafe: I’m trying-

Sami: Just stop, Rafe. I can’t talk about this anymore.

Rafe: I’m going to bed.

Sami: Goodnight.

Sami takes out her cell phone. She dials a number.

Sami: Hey, can you meet me at the Java Café?

EJ and Nicole are standing in Sydney’s room.

Nicole: Wow. I could watch her sleep all night.

EJ: She looks so peaceful.

They leave the room.

Nicole: I missed this.

EJ: What?

Nicole: Putting Sydney to bed. Watching her sleep a little, then going to bed with you. Well, the last part isn’t happening I guess, but you know what I mean.

EJ: I do. I missed it too.

Nicole: Well, goodnight, EJ.

EJ: Goodnight.

They both go to their separate rooms.

Chloe is sitting on the couch in the apartment, crying. Philip walks in.

Philip: I got your message. What’s wrong?

He sits next to Chloe and hugs her.

Chloe: Daniel knows!

Philip: What? How?

Chloe: Somebody left Parker’s paternity test with him. It says he isn’t the father!

Philip looks shocked.

Sami is standing outside the Java Café. Bo sees her, and walks up to her.

Bo: What’s wrong?

Sami: I can’t do this anymore, Uncle Bo. I need my kids back.

Bo: Sami, I don’t know what we can do now.

Sami: There has to be something!

Bo: I’ve been trying to figure something out, Sami. But there’s nothing. Unless we get something to blackmail EJ with, then-

Bo has a thought.

Sami: What?

Bo: EJ said he had the gun, right?

Sami: Yes, as the gun with the video recording is enough to put me away.

Bo: The video alone can’t do anything.

Sami: Ok, so what are you getting at?

Bo: I’m not promising anything, but if I can get a search warrant, I can turn the place upside down, and look for the gun.

Sami: Oh my God! That would be great! Thank you so much!

Bo: Don’t thank me yet.

Sami: Were going to stop him!

She hugs Bo. Around the corner, Vivian is watching, and listening.

Vivian: I think I just found my golden ticket.

She smiles.
