Rick wakes up in Ashley’s bed, but she’s not there. Ashley comes out of the bathroom and Rick asks what happened last night. To Rick’s relief, Ashley says that nothing happened. Rick was too drunk and she just left him sleep in her bed while she took the fold out downstairs. Rick thanks Ashley for taking care of him and apologizes. Ashley says there’s no need for apologies. She would do that for any friend of hers. Rick asks if that is what they are now, friends. Ashley asks if they can be anything else. Rick says he loves Phoebe and he wants to be with her. Ashley understands and accepts that disappointing answer.

Stephanie pays Brooke a visit at her house. Brooke tells Stephanie that she is not in the mood to go rounds with her. Stephanie asks if she has been crying all night because the love of her life is in prison. Brooke doesn’t know where Stephanie is going with this. Stephanie reveals that she heard Brooke admit her love to Ridge before he was taken away. Stephanie tells Brooke that she needs to move on. With Ridge being in jail, now is the best time. Stephanie offers to hook Brooke up with someone, as Brooke laughs it off and tells Stephanie to get out of her house. Stephanie agrees to leave, but before she does, she tells Brooke that she knows her, probably better than Brooke knows herself. Stephanie knows that Brooke can’t live without a man. She will screw up, and when she does, Stephanie will go straight to Ridge.

The guard comes by Ridge’s cell and has news for him. He is getting a roommate as he is being moved into another cell with someone. Ridge was getting used to having a cell by himself and follows the guard to the new cell. Inside, there is a man, who introduces himself as Danny Delfino. The guard tells Ridge that he should get to know Danny. He’s famous in this place and will watch his back. When the guard leaves, Danny starts asking Ridge questions about his life, but Ridge is very cold. He tells Danny that they are not, nor will they ever be friends. As long as he stays on his side, Ridge will stay on his side.
