This is such a great and thoughtful response by their team. They're really just doing a bang-up job with every aspect of this. I really hope other soaps follow since having a small income stream on your archives is always better than none.

Bill Bell was able to create the B&B app because the Bell family owns B&B. I don’t think any other soap, even the Bells’ Y&R, is owned by its creators. I imagine the networks or maybe sponsors like Proctor and Gamble own the other soaps. So unfortunately, it’s unlikely we will see another soap come out with an app. That being said, if they ever made all the Y&R episodes available, it would be a dream come true. Other soaps I’ve wanted to watch: Sunset Beach, Loving, Capitol, Passions…

In a perfect world, we could sit around watching Edge of Night episodes from the 60s but nearly every soap from before the 1970s erased all their old episodes. 😞

There was a SONY related soap channel that seemed to advertise that they were uploading DAYS episodes from 1994-95, 2015-16 and 2022-23 seasons. It's gone quiet, but I do think DAYS might be coming. We also the recent All My Children episodes being uploaded with Agnes Nixon's estate / family saying that they're working on things like Loving / The City. I feel it in the waters that we'll start getting more soap material since it's a never-ending stream of content and unless they want the material to waste away, they'll have to get to digitizing them anyway.

Oh wow, I’d be thrilled to get Loving in some form! It’s an outright tragedy they wiped so many tapes of old soap episodes though. Imagine a streaming site where EVERY episode of EVERY soap ever existed.

I scraped the internet to find Loving/The City. Soap fans shouldn’t have to jump through hoops when almost everything else is available to stream.

Subbed this morning, and the quality is really nice, as is the audio. Rewatching from the beginning, too. I was in "season three" via YouTube, but watching on my TV is a whole new experience. Quality is even better than what streams on the "live channel" via Prime Video.

"BBTV" has its own instagram now
https://www.instagram.com/boldandbeautifultv/

This is separate from
but cooperating and/or sometimes co-posting with
the regular official CBS boldandbeautiful IG
https://www.instagram.com/boldandbeautifulcbs/

The bbtv ig includes current behind-the-scenes stuff.

The new account is maintained directly by the show, while the other is maintained by CBS. Similar to the Y&R/DAYS YouTube channels, one is maintained directly by the shows, while the other, which is older and has far more followers, is maintained by the network/streamer. Only General Hospital and Beyond the Gates have their socials handled exclusively by their network, as they are both network-owned.

The B&B/DAYS/Y&R split is due to the ability to use content on their owned socials, since the network/streamer doesn't get involved in that kind of stuff - they just post clips from episodes already aired, if that.
