Soap alum Jay Pickett ("Port Charles," "General Hospital," "Days of our Lives") has “died sitting on a horse ready to rope a steer" during production for his new movie "Treasure Valley in Idaho," according to the actor's friend and co-producer of Jim Heffel.

First, condolences to his family.

I'm confused. Did he actually die on a horse? Or is that a metaphor?

At first I had written he had died from falling off of a horse which was a mistake as the official wording used by people on the set was that he died "sitting on a horse ready to rope a steer." It is rather confusing, yes. At this time there is no further details used to elaborate on the matter.
