Paris is such a bright spot of the show. I go out of my way to watch the episodes if I notice she’s in it. She reminds me of the original Felicia with the short hair and over the top fashion. I would love to see her on a soap that would really dig in and give her something meaty because she is so watchable! This is the type of fun newbie that you want.

Now that you've mentioned it. I can totally see her in the vein of a young Colleen Dion's Felicia.

I wish they would have Paris working at Spencer. Imagine her out of Segregation Corner and having her have scenes with Bill, Katie, Wyatt, etc.,

GO, FINN!

Let Liam know how pathetic he is!!

I was impressed by Zende today as well. This might have been the best acting that he's done so far. Zoe is a total clown. The change in her character came on way too quickly.

So I watched again. Liam really is a complete a.sshole. What an unlikeable leading man.

Steffy and Hope come off as so pathetic for being obsessed with this guy that just goes back and forth between them whenever he feels like it.

I'm sure Brad Bell thinks he's found a new version of Taylor/Ridge/Brooke with this, but boy is he wrong.....

This crap is inferior in every way possible, and makes the T/R/B triangle look like Masterpiece Theatre.

Right? It would be better if SC was a more convincing leading male. I know Ross Moss wasn’t a great actor, but at least his f-boy ways could be seen as endearing to some. And of course the Logan girl is the victim.

If Scott Clifton had come of age in the ‘90s, he’d probably have a decent career as a sitcom actor and maybe even gone the goofy Ryan Reynolds route to films. But being a soap leading man ain’t his thing. He’s not untalented. But Liam is a joke. Ronn Moss was... limited, but he was completely in his element in romantic scenes with women. Probably one of the best at it, actually.

It's seems the new fashion consultant is inspired by 70's and 90's fashions. I mean Vinny look like he was ready to go to a disco. And Steffy with that hat and attire look like she was about to audition for a role on Blossom or Ghostwriter.

I passed by today and saw part of Zoe and Zende.  I hadn’t seen him yet.  Zoe was dressed in terrible garb.

For a soap about fashion, all of the women are dressed abominably!  Hope always looks like she shops at a thrift shop.

Paris is the only one in that quad with any life to her. The actress, Diamond White, has star quality. And you’re right that her radiance gives her scene partners a bit of a glow too. She has a playfulness that you can see why Zende, who is otherwise pretty stiff, would be into her.

I like LSV, but Carter is almost creepily bland. There’s not much for an actor to dig into with that role, aside from just leaning into the serial killer vibe, as the show isn’t really digging into his motivations for moving so quickly with Zoe.

I loved LSV on Guiding Light. On Bold he’s kind of dull.
Agree about Paris, she livens up the dullness.

The wigs are distracting. Both Zoe’s and Steffys.

Can they take that ridiculous weave out of JMW head?! Ugh! Speaking of which, what's with the wardrobe for Paris and why doesn't she have an accent?

Probably because they did that stupid thing with Zoe and Xander as the game to see who could lose their accent the longest and neither ever got their accent back.  I haven’t seen the Paris character yet

I have seen him a couple times since he returned.  But when I read he was coming back I called it.  He'll do more weddings and file divorce papers.  Here is maybe the best looking man on Daytime and none of the women notice him.  It's been pretty much the story of the character and it's the dumbest thing.  Meanwhile people were fighting over Liam, Wyatt, and Ridge.

How many times are we gonna watch this same exact scene of Liam begging Hope?

Until people stop watching it. I'm surprised the actor hasn't gotten sick of it. Even previous Hope got tired of the stupidity surrounding Liam.

It is disturbing how the show deteriorated. It can be called The Boring and The Ugly. I don't want to sound harsh or hateful, but once upon a time Bold was a show where you knew at least you're going to get campy drama and beautiful stunning people. This has not been the case lately. I am not saying anything about the actors... well I am actually... Liam IS NOT a leading man. His facial expressions are so limited, it's like watching a cow trying to act. It's disturbing. The new Hope is recycled Bridget. All of the dialogue is stale and unnatural, predictable and BORING. What is going on? Do the creators know the end is near, so they don't care anymore? If you go back to 2007 even, the show seems like James Cameron production.

    • Entering April and...   ...GOOOD this show reeks of propping. I cannot with the loops the writers are writing in to keep Peter around, Why is Dr. O who has went toe to toe in hand combat with Anna...IN A MASK TO BOOT or Carly who has pulled every trick in the book or even Maxie who has fake a pregancy and used to be the crafty schemer herself so scared of this nothing burger of weaksauce son of a GH villain I like? Uh...NO!!!   Yeah, that scene of Cameron picking on Jake was a bad one. WL has done better. That said, I do like there is family conflict in Liz's family. Those boys have gotten along for too long.   So is the next event we are building up to is the opening of Curtis's club? There is enough story building going on at least to have things happen.   I am just sadden that a month ago, there was momentum going on and climaxes and it fell flat in two weeks.
    • I am shocked at you.  LVP is cohosting that new dog show with Rebel Wilson, has VPD still in the works, and at least has one more project in the works I believe if memory serves. And VPR is still in the air...especially now that Kandi is about to start filming that OLG spinoff show. It's why I had to post that tweet. No matter how things go, LVP STAYS hustling. Kyle could NEVER.    And Andy Cokehead's ratings are not much better at times so Twitter can stay pressed. Please register in order to view this content
    • I suppose the premise of “LGBTQ” as this hodgepodge community is what I’m questioning. That one letter of the acronym is interchangeable with the other. I understand it from a political coalition standpoint—strength in numbers—and there’s certainly been overlap in term of cultural spaces, but for the most part, the only thing these letters have in common is that they transgress commonly accepted ideas of gender roles and identities. EDIT: I know they aren’t discrete, mutually exclusive groups. Trans people can be gay, lesbian, bi, etc. as well.   But in general I agree. Soaps are broadcast TV vehicles and have to be as broadly appealing and narratively nimble as possible. It’s why streaming services (or smaller cable networks) that can nurture niche-oriented content are so groundbreaking. A gay-male soap on Netflix or Hulu wouldn’t have to cater to a mass audience and could take more risks.
    • Well on the other hand, if the logic is the community is very broad and diverse so you can't represent it in its diversity, the notion that all that is needed is that there would be *some* representation takes precedence hence the logic here. We also have, frustrated as we may be, to understand the tough spot they are in. If they have budget for thirty contract players and the number of pairings LGBTQ character can have is necessarily limited, LGBT character have a lower return-on-investment in terms of story for a producer. So expecting every strand of LGBT being represented is setting the bar unrealistically high.
    • I totally agree. The season is forced and overproduced. TBH I feel like RPDR has been trending this way for several seasons, although COVID may have exacerbated this particular season’s issues. Usually the charisma (and uniqueness, etc.) of the queens would save the show, but it’s just not there this year. Even folks I enjoy like Symone would be middling queens in any other season.
