Figures.

We can't win. Seriously.

Corday always [!@#$%^&*] it up.

I kinda wonder if they brought him back after Greg Vaughan decided to exit. To 'fill the void' if you will (though I'd rather take literally anyone else; what about Mike Horton? No one even cares about Mike anymore and he'd be lost on new viewers but it's crazy he's had nothing on this show since 1999 aside from returning in 2010). I'd rather have Bryan Dattilo on contract, but that would never happen because we can't have nice things.

The actor seems like a sweet guy. But what can possibly be left for this character to do? I feel like he hasn't had much of a point for years.

Yup, I said it before, but when they did the time jump I wanted them to properly tie up all the storylines and then do a major overhaul of the canvas (add fresh blood, straighten out family trees, drop pointless characters) - Rafe is deadwood and has been for... well, since when wasn't he?

On the plus side, I guess Galen is a nice guy so there's that.

As did I. I've wanted an overhaul of the canvas for a long time now too. I thought we were getting it but not really.

I like Galen. I've just never cared for Rafe. The only time I liked him was when he was with Jordan and Kate, honestly, and briefly before that when he was just a single snarky cop, that worked best. Otherwise Rafe is useless. They've thrown him in certain pairings (Sami; Hope) that really never worked. Why couldn't they just cut their losses? I feel like Ron has no interest in Rafe, and rightfully so. Rafe is deadweight.

I wonder if they do Rafe/Nicole ...

I also did not need or want Marci Miller back as Abigail. I swear anytime I get interested in DAYS again they do everything they can to turn me off again. Can we get a Chabby break? For real this time?

Controversial opinion (?), but I like Marci Miller as Abby. She has that classic soap opera heroine thing going on that I enjoy.

There are so many things I would do to DAYS if I had the chance though - one of those is to finally straighten out the family trees. Viewers should not need a [!@#$%^&*] chart to figure out how everyone relates to each other to begin with. And in all honesty - I'd drop the DiMera's, their wacky plots and back-from-the-dead potions. I'd also make things matter in the long run - not pointless medical emergencies that lasts for three weeks and gets forgotten; daytime soaps are blessed with the ability to explore all aspects thanks to airing five times a week. Unt so weiter, unt so weiter....

But anyway, I'm just ranting.

I just woke up and saw this horrible news. Somehow a broke Days found some to get boring Rafe back. Looks like Sonny will be back too.

Didn't he play a love interest of sister Jennifer, who quickly & conveniently turned psycho on her?

Side note: with DAYS' 55th anniversary coming up in November which they have yet to film, I'm glad their tape date vs air date are close. It was crazy how their 50th anniversary was filmed at the beginning of 2015 and by the time they were promoting the anniversary in November, they were all secretly in the depths of despair about the quality of the show, as it took a dark turn in 2016.

I loved Roark Critchlow as Mike, so I wondered what he looked like. (He’s steadily worked but I don’t remember seeing him elsewhere.) He’s definitely... matured. But, as it’s been like 25 years since he and Carrie got together, dude is almost 60 (he’s around the same age as Michael T. Weiss - which I was semi-surprised to learn as I thought it was a de-SORASing).

OK, so what happened to Roark Critchlow?  I was just on his IG and he is a stuttering mess.  I don't remember him acting this way before.

I thought he was aging quite well the last time I saw him. (either on V or some CW show knowing me) so that is sad to hear.

    • It's very unfortunate that there was so much complaining and whining about the format. I often think that soap fans have no foresight in terms of what can happen down the road. Neither AMC nor OLTL were "my shows" (I grew up watching CBS soaps, for the most part) but I was eager to watch these shows, thinking that perhaps the show of support would encourage other producers to want to 'dust off' other cancelled soaps and revive them, on a lest ratings-focused platform, where they could get a little more time to build and grow. Yes, Prospect Park was a mess, but there might have other production companies who might have gotten the impetus to join the trend, and they might not have been a mess. Who knows? And all those people saying "I would've watched if it had been streaming on Netflix". Well, Netflix cancels shows the fastest of all the major streamers, so there was no guarantee that these reboots would have been renewed. Hulu was hardly the hinterlands of streaming platforms. I wish that fans of these shows would take the time to think and ponder the possibility that a genre that skews as old as daytime soaps might not get another chance to see another soap stream anywhere other than in bootleg clips and episodes of varying degrees of quality now because there was so much moaning and whining on previous efforts.
    • Exactly why the others were annoyed at Kandi...decades in the entertainment and she can go DIRECTLY to the head (in this instance NBCUniversal...Bravo's boss) and make some changes. I could see Porsha feeling a kinda way about it since she's been doing good herself with her new RHOA contract, her now contract with that ent agency, hosting BRAVO CHATROOM, protesting, getting articles in the NY Times, etc. But...she has not been around long enough to do what Kandi did. Heck, I finally was able to read that Voices of Bravo article from a few pages back and did not even realize that Kandi reached out to NENE about this as well. In the middle of Nene and her lawsuit at that.    Power. To paraphrase BUFFY...Kandi got it. The other girls don't. This bothers them.    Which is what Kenya has said a few times this season as well. Married or not, if Kenya and Bolo had done something the girls would have been all over it. So when Kenya does it, they want to grab their pearls?    I agree with the antiheroine label.
    • @Cheap   But yes, Marceline, I feel like that will probably go down with Blanca thus the spa scenes in the trailer.    Oh while I'm here...this last season is only SEVEN episodes. And they're showing the first two premiere night. Please register in order to view this content
    • @Paul Raven Do you happen to have ratings for the premiere week for 85-86 season?
