I'd love to know the answer to that too.  The rewrite was completely unnecessary, and it was insulting to any viewers who had watched the original storyline play out in 1978.  An adopted child has just as much legal right to inheritance (and/or the family business) as a bio-child.  So Iris could have played the same beats regarding Cory Publishing, whether she was adopted or bio.  There was no logical reason to rewrite her conception to make her Mac's bio-child.  -
It was very challenging. I teach two college courses in addition to having a full-time job. So I had something like 55 papers to read and grade while my vision was blurred. Somehow I got the work done.

Seriously. I think that would be great. The audience wouldn't care at all. Think about how many doppelgangers/twins has Y&R had over the years - Kay, John, Cassie, Phyllis, Lauren, Cane, Patty - that's 7 just off the top of my head.  Y&R has probably as many doubles as DAYS has had returns from the dead. Â
