Members Faulkner
To my knowledge, they had never acknowledged Devon as a sexual being up to that point. And to do it with a woman he had known as his aunt, which is gross and nonsensical, but to also betray his father (and his non-existent gf)? It just showed me that Devon was a character with zero values or plausible motivations they never cared about or tried to understand. If he was so “boring” or seemed “too young,” they were more than happy to keep him around as a token. And it made their WTF choices for the character seem that much more frivolous and insulting.
