Developing: 90210 Reboot with Original Cast!

Was that before or after she graduated? ;)

At the risk of sounding like Vee: is there anything you DON'T love, John and Toups?  It's like what Thelma Harper said: "I could boil gym socks in this kitchen, and everybody would want a taste!"

I know I'll sound like a horrible person for saying this out loud - but remember the episode where Donna was almost raped and she cries out "bUt I'M a VIRGeeEEEn" - was I the only one who laughed?

I think I'm going to hell.

Well I like that is a fictionalized version of themselves and that they are playing into all those rumors and such that have followed them for nearly 30 years

It's clear there's a real audience out there for a reboot, they should do one and be done.

IA.  But this crew wants it both ways.  They want to revisit/cash in on past glories without having to portray once again the characters that put them in the public eye.  So, what do we end up with?  This crap.

It truly feels like an over-extended Funny or Die sketch.

For whatever reason, Tori and Jennie are under the impression that they were always meant to be comedic actresses when the fact is neither is much of an actress to begin with...

Is there anything you do like? Lol

I liked it, but I can see why others wouldn't

Quite a lot.  But most of what I like was made before my time, when creative people actually set out not to suck.

It dropped to a 0.9 demo and 2.57 viewers.

Not surprised.  As soon as people figured out what the show really was, they were bound to stay away.

True.  Harsh, but true.

BH 90210 did win its time slot plus got a higher demo then its lead in. I wonder if it will be adjusted upward later in the week

The episode was actually way better than the pilot imho and they are giving us sinppets of Shannen

I wonder if

Spoiler

That Kid, Zach, stalking them is one of their kids that they never knew about. My guess would be Brian's son

I believe it was in the Jenny McCarthy interview that Tori mentioned that she first suggested doing a proper reboot to Jennie on the phone and she said "[!@#$%^&*] no" and hung up - apparently she was not amused at the thought of playing another Kell-Me The Victim storyline

I enjoyed it. But I enjoyed So noTORIous and Grosse Pointe too, so...

I suspect Shannen's so-called animal sanctuary project will turn out to be a huge scam and all the money goes directly to her.

I enjoyed it as well but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't rather have a reboot. But I imagine most of the cast didn't want to and are only now hedging on the idea because of fan pushback.

It's an amusing take. But I don't think it works as a primetime series on FOX. I mean, like 8 million people watched the premiere of 90210 on CW. 11 years ago. The audience is there ...

I guess they could ask the same question: "is there anything some of us even like?" lol

But yasssss to the Thelma Harper shoutout.

That show was good for like the first two seasons then it went to [!@#$%^&*]

I think If It gets a second season, we could see more of the " Reboot" itself on BH90210. I always thought of it as a show within a show

There is a rumor that

Spoiler

Episode six will just be the pilot episode of "The Reboot"

Spoiler

Episode 3: The Photo-Shoot

Episode 4: The Table Read

It's an interesting, IMO, concept for a show. So I'm giving it a shot. (And I do think Tori/Jennie said the 2nd season, if they get one, would be about the reboot itself. So I'm curious how it all works itself out)

I did enjoy the 'nightmare' Tori had where Grandpa Brandon was still serving at the Pit and Kelly owned it. LOL

I wouldn't call 90210 "good" but I'd say it had a lot of potential in Seasons 1 and 2 and I liked a lot of it. But the reality is, The CW wanted 90210 and MP in name only and seemed to then jump on old cast members and shoehorn them in as fan service. Both could have been SO much better. Sigh. Such missed potential. Makes me so mad. lol. Especially Melrose when you had Daphne, Josie, Thomas, Heather, [!@#$%^&*] LAURA LEIGHTON AS AN ALIVE SYDNEY, ALL willing to be there. God, makes me so mad. I kind of lol that I think Grant Show wasn't interested but he's done nothing but primetime soaps, really ... and now he's on that trash they call Dynasty.
