What a trouper she was - in daytime for over 60 years.

 

Her work on Love of Life is so restrained and I'm glad that several episodes are still available for us to see. Without actors like Peggy I wonder if daytime would have thrived as much as it did in the '50s. 

 

Her 1995 SPW interview is one of the first soap magazine interviews I ever read. It was very intelligent and worthwhile - a world away from anything most magazines print now. I think I posted it years ago but if anyone else has it you may enjoy it.

Wow, what a huge loss for Days. In the last 25 years they've lost almost all the heads of their major families: Macdonald Carey, Frances Reid, Joseph Mascolo, Frank Parker, and now Peggy McCay. Hard to believe John Aniston is the only one left of that generation.
