Of course, Susan portrayed Gail Baldwin on General Hospital and Port Charles. I recall first becoming a fan of Ms. Brown's work when she played Constance MacKenzie Carson on Return to Peyton Place. To me, she embodied what made actresses of the 60s popular: a somewhat breathy speaking style, and a quiet elegance that is so endearing. May she rest in peace. I always thought she could have had so much more to do as Gail. I have not seen her biggest soap roles, but I really liked her on ATWT, as Kirk's old lover/mentor. That was a departure for her.
