Another Sharon on Y&R was Sharon Ralston, who had previously been attacked by Ron Becker.

Wonder if Bill Bell knew someone with that name?

Also, Ruby the manicurist had the surname Collins.

There was also Sister Sarah the nun on Santa Barbara, and Sarah Dale on Love of Life.

Thanks for remembering.

Y&R had 2 Kevins -  Bancroft  and Fisher.

Thinking back, Doug is a male name not used much. The only ones that come immediately to mind are

Doug Cassen ATWT

Doug Williams DOOL

Douglas Austin Y&R

Doug Martin SFT

Speaking of LOL, has any other soap ever used the name "Bambi"?

Another World had two of my favorite unique soap names in the late 60s/early 70s: Lenore and Lahoma.

There was a Lenore on ATWT in the 80s.

Bianca is most famously from Shakespeare but boy does it just SMACK of quintessential eighties snob.

There was an Bianca Marquez on ATWT in the 80s.  She was an orphaned refugee who came to Oakdale from a fictitious Latin American country for asylum.  How ahead of its time that concept was!

I know Scott was probably mentioned in this thread at least once because on every soap created in the last 60 years, there was probably at least one character named Scott.

What about Isaac?  I remember one on ATWT. Others? Come to think of it there was also a Curtis, not to mention a Thurgood Marshall.  All African American characters.

Also, any Priscillas?

Thank you. Weren't there two (a father and son)?

Yes you're right - Andrew and Andy, father and son. Father hung around longer.

Re Scott

Offhand can't recall a Scott on GL or OLTL, at least as a major character.

On Y&R Jonas gave amnesiac Leslie the name Priscilla, always referred to as Pris. I wonder if it was explained at the time why he chose that name.

BTW Was Jonas ever given a surname?
