So far, it has been justified due to his fear of losing Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) to Will Horton (Chandler Massey.) Days Of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Paul’s reaction to Will being alive was odd. Instead of wanting closure, he kept pushing Sonny to get married anyway. Some felt it was a bit out of character. Remember, at one time John’s biological father kidnapped Paul and tried to mess around with his head. Perhaps that has more permanent effects than people realize. Members KMan101 Posted October 20, 2017 Members Share Posted October 20, 2017 Sounds like a bunch of speculation and hope from those who don't like Paul. I'd rather he not turn out to be a villain. I think that would be a massive mistake. Frankly I'd take Paul anyday over Sonny at this point. At least Christopher Sean comes off as committed to the show and the character. He's also a good actor. Members Gray Bunny Posted October 20, 2017 Members Share Posted October 20, 2017 I think it's idle speculation, but on the other hand, I could see Carlivati going the easy way out in making one in the love triangle "evil." I think it's much more satisfying and juicy when a storyline has three completely innocent people involved in a love triangle, that are in this situation because of something out of their control (i.e. Roman/Marlena/John in the early 90's; Bo/Hope/Billie circa '94-'95). In fact, more often than not, I wind up disliking BOTH potential pairings if I feel that one of the characters is being manipulated in order to make the show's preferred choice look better by comparison. I am glad because I thought they might have Will understand Sonny moving on. Interesting how Chandler said he was glad about not doing the Paul/Will one night stand because it would be hard to have sympathy for Will. Very true since I wanted Will exposed for his one night stand...LOL...although GS was in the role. I wonder if Massey has a secret crush on Camila?...LOL....They look good together on screen.
