I'm thrilled to hear Glenn Close won - it sometimes feels like she's been forgotten in recent years. I don't mind Gaga, but I hope her fans won't attack Glenn Close (then again they weren't in the same category were they?? Or were they? I haven't watched yet).

I'm glad to hear Richard Madden won too. I just loved him on Game of Thrones, even if he hasn't ever known what to do with his hair since then.

I'm also glad to hear Rami Malek did NOT mention Singer when he won. Malek is so endearing in such an odd way.

Close and Gaga were both in Actress - Drama, even though A Star is Born could have conceivably campaigned in the Comedy/Musical categories. Close gave a great speech and got a passionate reaction, plus the “due” factor, so it’s hard to not see her as the favorite. Ironically, Olivia Colman (for “The Favourite”) is the second favorite, but she competed in the comedy categories at the Globes.

Gaga’s delusional fans have been attacking Glenn Close left and right on Twitter with some of the most absurd ageist trash. I really detest that segment of her fanbase. She subtly has encouraged a lot of that crap from her fans as well.

I know it did well at the box office, but everything this award season screams payola from Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s respective camps for ASIB. Luckily it doesn’t appear to be working outside of the expected music categories...

I'm not generally a Gaga fan, but come on Jennifer Hudson won the Golden Globe, and then on to the Oscar for Dream Girls. Both performances were nothing amazing, outside of the great musical performances. Cate Blanchett also killed it that year too. Thankfully, she was awarded for Blue Jasmine.

I'm happy for Glenn, but her movie was a snore unfortunately. She did turn in a fine performance, despite a really weak script. I wouldn't have awarded her for her work in "The Wife," and if she's up against Olivia Coleman this year, then Coleman should easily win. However, I can see Glenn winning on "due" factor, like Julianne Moore and that boring performance in "Still Alice."

It would be nice to see actors of colour, being "due" as well. But, I digress. People will always find a way to say no.
