Paige Searcy stated they only signed Gabrielle Haugh for 6 months (which would take her taping into February 2017). Earlier this month, Gabrielle tweeted she's working on the new installment of Jeepers Creepers. So, if you put those two things together...

Theo is the only one I think could be saved, Pettis has only been as bad as the writing. He's been playing his character's Autistic tics well.I think being stuck between Dumb and Dumber is what brings him down. Ciara was the original problem--but Shallow Claire has wrecked him. As for Joey, Lastovic can make a Hella career in print ads or cater-waitering,or porn--he has the hair for it--LOL  Just don't let him try to act!

He can be saved but for me, for some reason, he's becoming more unlikeable by the minute for some reason. I think Claire could be saved too. She was NOT this bad when first introduced.

It also would help to get them out of their bubble. Theo almost never has scenes with Abe, or Lani. Where's his POV? Putting the younger ones in scenes with the vets would go a long way. But it hasn't really helped Lastovic, so ...

Agreed. It made no sense to age them 3 years within a year and send them off to college. IMO, the only actor worth keeping is Kyler Pettis as Theo. The rest are just terrible and I fast-forward them 90% of the time. I couldn't even tell you what's going on in Joey/Jade land because I haven't watched one minute of it. Meanwhile, the actress who plays Claire had potential, but her character's obnoxious behavior has brought out traits in her as an actress that is quite irksome.

I wish they'd build on the Carver family more so. Recast Lani with someone more dynamic and let's see an actual father/daughter relationship with her and Abe. I'd also love to see Jonah Carver return (Thyme Lewis, who last played him in 1997, has held up well over the years). Add to that, there was his girlfriend Wendy, her son Benjamin, etc. etc. etc. All these people from the past with no blood relation to others on the canvas, which means romantic possibilities in Salem are endless.

The thing with Carlivati (which I really like) is that he is the kind of writer who would totally bring these characters back, even if briefly, and played by the original actors if they can get them.

See. This is why I wasn't in favor of them SORAS'ing Ciara, Claire, Theo, or Joey. They should've left them as children b/c it was not necessary to age them. Not when they should've just gradually centered the show around Abby, JJ, Chad, Sonny, Paul, Theresa (at the time), Lani, Gabi, and now Eli. They should've kept Belle, Shawn, and Phillip and brought back characters like Mimi, Jeremy, Stephanie, Chelsea, Noelle, Sarah, Jett, Andrew, Max, Nathan, Cassie, and Rex. Also, they should've never killed off Nick or Will.

With all those characters I just listed, it was unnecessary for the show to even need a teen set right now or to age those characters. So many young adult legacy characters that could've been brought back to fill that youthful void needed on the show.

The old teen/young adult set with JJ was driven out so fast and the group with Chad, Sonny and Will was already in the mid-20s crowd, so I get why they wanted a new teen scene. If only the actors got better writing and direction.

Jade was only there to be paired with Joey since every other female was related to him and the show wasn't going to make Joey gay or bi
