Wayans clearly never wanted to do it in the first place according to the BTS stuff - he only did the pilot when his preferred show didn't go ahead, and was allegedly just clocking the hours and barely ever shooting coverage for scenes beyond his close-ups, doing the bare minimum. My mother's a type II diabetic, so I'm familiar with the toll that that disease can take on the body. But, yeah, he never wanted to do the show.
