Back in the day I loved Billy and Mac, but the character(s) were never the same upon recasts. Billy Miller I enjoyed with Elizabeth Hendrickson, but not with Amelia. I could never get over the fact that Billy was five when Victoria was in college. That just didn't set well with me.

Just upon doing a cursory glance at the show lately:

*I still think Debbi Morgan can work on the show, it's just bad writing. And if Victoria Rowell does not return, they'll need her. Even if she does, I think the show can and should handle both women, two huge black daytime stars.

*Bryton is good and it would be unnecessary to fire him. But I can also understand a recast.

*There is no reason for at least 60-70% of these people to be here.

*Ronan, I don't even know where that character came from or who he's supposed to be. Go.

*The Beastmaster has always been awful. Go.

*I thought she had life here a few years ago but now Liz Hendrickson is in the most boring pairing alive. Get something very different or go.

*Sofia is terrifying to me, performance-wise. Go.

*I'm not sure that Heather Stevens is really needed on the canvas, but I like Jen Landon in the role. Bubble.

*Michael and Lauren are popular, right? Why is it they never do much of anything?

*I love Melissa Egan but this character seems like shark bait destined to die and crush Adam's future dreams. Also, I really don't see where they made the effort to redeem a man who crossdressed as the ghost of a dead woman, then burned a woman's fetus in a fireplace. Michael Muhney is a great actor but that is a rather huge problem that needs to be addressed.

*Turning Sharon Case loose is like printing money, no matter what they make her do. I hate the idea of putting her back with the baby-burner, but I'm not sure what other good options she has romantically. Perhaps a triangle with someone new. In my vague memories of youth, the appeal of the character has always been her endless trials and tribulations more than her men per se. I don't know if she flourished or not when they began dirtying her up some years ago, but I think she works it very well. Sharon recently appears to have gone totally insane and married Victor for reasons I don't understand, yet she remains utterly watchable.

*There is no acceptable reason to keep Victor and Nikki apart at their age still playing the field. Pair them up, lock it down like Mac and Rachel on AW and let them be the power couple emeritus. Done.

*Phyllis seems to be most in her element when she is bossing around a little Renfield (Kevin) and scheming about covering up a man's death. This is not a heroine. She's crazy like a fox. That's what she should be doing. Same with Kevin, or he can go.

*Victoria needs to be recast, this is not news. Billy, I dunno but I don't care much about him or Abby in their current roles. "Oh, they're the press! Oh, they're the cops!" This is cheap bad soap binary placement Y&R never used to need. It's forced when you try to shove these people into those roles.

*I loved Kevin Schmidt but any new Noah would need to be just as good. I've lost track of all these new teens, who else is there? That new Kyle looks like a sleaze. Is Noah's weird girlfriend really still on the show? Fire her.

*Tucker is a skeeze and has no reason to exist. Neither does Murphy. Genie Francis I like as a tough woman but this role is dogshit. Have Tucker killed off in a big murder mystery, showcase Sharon Case, Debbi Morgan and Jeanne Cooper in it and then reveal Genevieve did it to write her out. Maybe she offs her son in the process.

*Do Paul or Jack ever do anything anymore? Peter Bergman is too talented to dump. Have I missed anyone? Oh, Gloria and that one guy. Fire them. And the porn star lawyer who wears big cartoon glasses to prove she is a lawyer. Recurring at best. And Darnell Williams. Does anyone care that much? He can hang around and see if they strike some spark til Victoria Rowell returns, I guess. They need to cast more black males.

That's all I got from a quick glance.

JFP needs to fire BH next. He's not a good Kyle. As for CK, deuces to her. I'd prefer a newcomer in this role. Long as she can act and looks like the product of Dru and Malcolm. I'm fine with a new Devon if they're recasting him. BJ is not a bad actor but lacks sexual energy. He's not alone in that department though.

I I may be the only one, but I don't mind Genevieve. I think GF does a fine job with her, and I like the icy portrayal of her. I woulnd't want to see her go.

I'm shocked about CK, I just never thought it would happen. I didn't hate her, but I didn't like her. and I don't think Davetta was great either. The character is just boring.

At this point they REALLY need to move and heaven and earth to bring Drucilla back. I don't care that VR is a terror, if PB and EB can work together, the rest of those bitches can suck it up and work with VR.

Scandal. Someone is on the verge of exposing a past misdeed of Tucker's when Sofia, who knows all about it, skips the country rather than betray her friend in court.

Then, as Neil searches for his child's mother, who should he stumble across accidentally...but Drucilla? wink.png
