I have a rare, first-generation VHS copy of Episode #205 of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS that I'm looking to sell. Episode #205 is notable because it's Jeanne Cooper's debut as Katherine along with the introduction of John Considine as Phillip Chancellor, II. Jill and Kay meet in this episode when Jill solicits Katherine over the phone for a hair appointment which goes horribly wrong because Katherine is "ill". Jill escorts Katherine home and instead of leaving when Theresa, the Chancellor maid, takes Katherine upstairs and makes her "a double", Jill makes herself right at home in the Chancellor living room to wait to Katherine as the episode ends.

As far as I know, this is the second earliest episode of Y&R in circulation after the first episode. I received this during my days at CBS and am now looking to let it go. I figured this community would be the best home for it... If you have any questions, just send me a private message. More details are below...

Your welcome! I've unearthed a lot more 1995 articles, pictures, and recaps I found saved that I'll probably share on this thread later tonight/tomorrow here.

Would love to see the Ashley and Brad scenes! Victor and Nikki's couple status at this point sounds even more tortured than Cruz and Eden on Santa Barbara; same goes for Victoria/Ryan/Nina.

Thanks for sharing!!!! It's been years since I remember watching the infamous pillow stabbing scenes as Ashley was finally allowed to go berserk following the chilling yet low key revelation. Throwing Jill into the mix of the Rick/Blade story was a smart move and really helped save and drive the story's climax and aftermath.

When she says, “How could you understand what I’m going through?” to Jill, Brenda sounded just like Claire Danes when she’s agitated on Homeland.

Ah, the music. Why the producers felt like this scoring was dated and not timeless, I’ll never understand.

I loved finally getting to see this too....I think this scene proved Brenda, if she stuck around could really play all the different layers of Ashley, that people think ED is more accustomed too, like the coldness and berserk scenes like this....I thought Ashley was going to go after Jill with the knife too!

I didn't realize Ashley and Olivia's friendship was present at this time....I always think it isn't really till they brought back Ashley with Shari, and then Eileen's return they played up the friendship more...It's kind of sad, that Ashley was warning Olivia, just as her own marriage was up in flames too...funny enough Olivia sort of went crazy too, when she found out about Nathan/Keesha.

btw, thanks for the 1995 SOU stuff! I have to say, some of the pictures, specifically Jack/Jill, Nikki/Victor look later 90's, but maybe it's the lighting.....surprised Lauren got a shout out, as she spent most of that year on B&B to finish up Sheila's initial arch there.....
