Glad it never came to fruition. It would have been as awful as it was with Jon Novak. Frankly, and I know he now scenery chews, I think the role began - and ended - with Justin Deas and should have just been left alone.

Melody Anderson tested as Galen Henderson before being cast as Natalie Dillon.

When Paul Rauch went to Santa Barbara he talked with Barbara Luna (ex-Maria Roberts, OLTL) about a role.

Before Knots cast Lar Park Lincoln as Linda Fairgate, she was looked at as a young Abby in a flashback scene. They also considered casting her as Sally's Friend, or whatever that boring role was. They went with Linda because they liked her as a contrast to Michelle Lee.

I was reading in a spring 1996 SOD about GH casting a sexy young woman who would have a surprising tie to town. That is basically Carly. They said SMG had been seen at the studio, for what they didn't know. They also said Melissa Reeves was rumored to be getting the role. Can you imagine Melissa Reeves or SMG as Carly?
