Unrecognizable in the truest meaning of the word! I would never in a million years have recognized her! What has she done to herself??!!

Bleached her skin, gotten fat, fillers, wearing grey makeup and a really bad weave.

Someone else had mentioned she had lupus. Could that have anything to do with how she looks?

I don't think so, redness and flushing are associated with lupus, her skin has been so obviously peeled and bleached to within an inch of its life. And the weight gain is really something that has wrecked her looks.

When I saw her in that interview, I was shocked. Not that she gained weight or got plastic surgery, but that she bleached her skin. I really thought that Black people had stopped doing that, especially after Michael Jackson. She used to be so pretty too. Ugh. I keep seeing the claim that it is Lupus, but that obviously is not true.

Black people still do it all the time, unfortunately.

It's still quite common. And even if African American women aren't bleaching their skin, they're using makeup that's way, way lighter than their actual skin tone...the sad thing about that is African American women, by in large, have some of the most gorgeous skin on the planet, wrinkle free, even toned, lustrous and clear.

The Lupus claim has never been substantiated. Some argue she's on prednisone to account for the bloating of her face...but look at her collarbone, arms, she's gained a lot of weight. And look at her hairline, you can see where her skin hasn't been bleached.

It's just sad because she was a truly beautiful young woman. Now, she looks like a clown.

There's definitely been a little bit of weight gain, but she's honestly a totally different person, right down to the color.

Tragic.

She was so beautiful.

Her eyes aren't even the shape they used to be anymore.

I am so excited...just weeks away! Ok Linda Gray looks better than is that Brenda Strong? It looks like a bad cross between Joy Behar and Katie Couric. Wendy Williams...this woman just should not be wearing mini skirts or clingy dresses, and that ring is ridiculous.

A little weight gain? Try 50 pounds. The weight gain has really influenced her looks as she seems to carry a lot of weight in her face, which is a bitch I understand because the second I put on a pound, it's on my face.

The eyes are the thing she probably hasn't had surgery on, they're bagging and sagging, but that's pretty natural.

Does the bleaching ever go away?

Not really, the melanin and pigment in her skin has permanently changed for the most part. Why skin bleaching is ever done is beyond me, it's not something I've ever offered.

    • Most networks were thinking about getting out of soaps at that time and Passion was the first that went, then Guiding Light and As The World Turns, then of course One Life To Live and All My Children. The truth is that General Hospital was next to go if they hadn't seen that the replacements weren't doing well (I think NBC ultimately ended up giving up Passions time slot to affliaties, but I might be wrong) and that's what's so far kept the remaining soaps on air. They know if they lift them off at this point they'll not only get replacements doing worse, but also likely affect the rest of the remaining daytime line up negatively. I assume they've figured the remaining soaps DO have a unique audience that won't tune in unless there's a soap on air.

    • Well I definitely applaud them. Yes, they could have done much much better at least with one of them storylines. But the messages were never lost on me. I was more than touched by Stuart and Lily. @j swift what did you feel about Spike storyline? I remember being so happy they were giving that to one of Erica’s grandchildren.    Stuart portrayal was like a combination of many different types of disorders imo. He represented to me a lot of the fredo Corleone’s of the world. He was so relatable, I saw so many people I knew in him.  I saw some of myself in Stuart, he inspired me, gave me hope too. I’m sure Agnes could have done a better job at giving him a clear illness, I’m fine with the way things played out though. I have a cousin who is kinda special needs(not sure if that’s the right term, my apologies if it isn’t) and he has went on to have many relationships and have children. I don’t believe he’s capable of taking care of himself or the children, but he has them.   I do agree with you, about these missed opportunities, especially with Lily and Jonathan. Do you think every social issue or Character driven storyline is soapy enough, to be told?!     Are you guys excited to hear Wisner Washam new interview?
    • I strongly doubt  Valentini,  Van Etten and O'Conner know who Conner is. Conner was a fairly obscure character to begin with.
    • Speaking of passions, How exactly did that show get cancelled. I know it was dead last but it did well in the demos they want.
