There you go!!!

But actually... today's final scene was the best in WEEKS. Beau and Jeanne play one of the best Mother/Son dynamics in, dare I say it... daytime history. for 35 years, I have never tired of watching these two. And of all soap opera characters created, Brock is indeed, the PERFECT man.

The writers are grasping at straws, looking for places to put Kevin. His time has come and gone. I think the show really needs to move on from him. Amber was a person who belonged there, and Amber is perfectly affable in Kay's orbit... where she doesn't seem so whiny and self-centered. And Frantz looked PRETTY today. Nice hair, and look how much BETTER she looked when she puts away the whore red lipstick and tones down her eye shadow. Her face is EASILY overwhelmed by makeup, and with her, less is DEFINITELY more, and as long as she dials it back on the war paint, Frantz is a perfectly lovely girl.

Damn Smith for opening this can of worms.

LOL I've always wanted SuBe or Passions to spoof Maury's "You are NOT the father." But instead they both did Springer spoofs.

I'm so sick of DNA tests on this show.

Tell me about it! I hated Kevin being there too.

Well in all fairness, Kay would be dead if it wasn't for Kevin. The reason he was kidnapped was because he believed that Marge really was Kay and went to the motel to save her. Amber also has a special relationship with Katherine. The main reason for this I believe is that Jeanne Cooper loves Adrienne Frantz as well as Greg Rikkhart and so they are making them surrogate relatives to Katherine just like most of the people in that room. The only ones truly related to Kay is Mac and Brock.

I don't know why Kay even needed this gathering. I understood Neil, Michael, Nikki, Victor and Paul being there because they could help her legally or were involved in the manipulation, but to have everyone show up for support seems a bit much. She knows she is the Queen of Genoa City so her subjects need to leave her alone so she can figure out a way to get her company back.

MAB must love Kevin. He also was everywhere when Colleen died from her dream, then the hospital and finally her funeral while Lauren never attended her funeral but only was heard offscreen calling Tracy from and sending money to Colleen's favorite charity. Kevin also gets invited to all the family events.

Besides Fen's birth Michael/Lauren haven't had ONE story where Kevin isn't prominent.

Now that TPTB have made them Eden's babysitters Kevin's useless ass has to be shoehorned somewhere else so the serial rapist runs the local TEEN hangout while judging everyone.

SO. MUCH. HATE.

That house is being overstuffed with people that don't need to be there because MAB loves all things Chancellor. I don't know why anyone needed to be there to gather when most of them are living there with her. It is overkill. Kay knows they support her. I don't see a need for an impromptu party to show her this.

Hey I agree and it sucks but until MAB is out the best I can hope for is that she doesn't kill off Lauren and I get to see them on screen once in awhile. LML used them to prop Gloria and MAB uses them to prop Kevin amongst others. CLB and TEB are being completely wasted and have been since she took over. They didn't even have a story last year and in the two years MAB has been in control, the only story either had was Michael's father at the end of 2008 which ended up being more of a Gloria vehicle. last year was all about propping Kevin when they actually were on screen.

MAB likes Kevin and does not like Michael and Lauren so I doubt anything is going to change. Who knows, maybe her goal is to eliminate Michael and Lauren and make Kevin a part of the Chancellor family. Wouldn't shock me.

    • I feel like Earl Hamner and his crew brought in Richard* BECAUSE they knew almost right away that Robert Foxworth was so dull as Chase.  At any event, Richard, IMO, proved to be much more interesting as Angela's chief adversary. (*Or brought him back, depending on whether we're including the original "Vintage Years" pilot).
    • And it will also eventually air S2, which will air its finale in Canada this Thursday, May 15th! https://tvline.com/news/law-and-order-toronto-criminal-intent-season-1-2-the-cw-1235449356/ As an American that has managed to watch it in real time, it's very good. Frankly, I think it's the best of the L&O franchise as of now.
    • You are getting like me. It's getting to the point that without any Damian sightings...it's been the fashion that is holding my interest. And it should not be that way at all.
    • I don't mind Jan either. If anything, they could be using her more to get her daughter's POV. Not to mention her role as one of the Have-Nots.    I also don't mind the local talent. Just look at soaps that were in NY or the shows that film there, they always go for the local talent and we get to find new faves.
    • I'm not going to watch (because...well...that M-dude...lol) but knowing the history between Henry and Roger, I could see Henry wanting to enable Hart to stay independent of Roger. I could even see it as Henry having the last laugh at Roger. Roger hated "the Henry's" of the world, which basically meant anyone who had money and social prominence. Twice Roger swindled Henry out of a chunk of his fortune, so giving some to Hart, who hates his father, is a form of karma.
    • Ashley and Derek have to go- they really throw off the pace of the show.  Today was the first time I fast-forwarded through their scenes. The writing and acting is just bad for both characters.
    • Jon is stuck in a story that isn't popular but with Cady I feel like the issue is that she was clearly thrown in with no real purpose. I still don't understand why she pops up. I recall early on it being said she owned a spa but we've never seen it. That could've been an interesting location for people to meet. She also could've worked better as Smitty's mom, but instead we get this random agent of Dani's who pops up twice a month? A total waste. I mostly agree. I do feel like Jan could be elevated with a name soap actress, someone like Judi Evans or Kassie DePaiva comes to mind, but they're limited to who is in Atlanta. Keeping that in mind I think the current actress is fine.
    • It's great to see. My thoughts might be a little different, but for the most part, I am excited and interested in most of the storylines. Yeah, you're right. This is probably how she (Dani) normally acts. And, I do not like it!  I agree; this is another distraction while she heals her wounds. If I weren't an Eva fan, she helped me root for her even more. As I said a month ago, I hope they take their time with her modeling agency. I would love to see her face a few obstacles before becoming a huge success.
    • I like that there are a lot of local performers on this soap and I'm glad they've resisted so far on hiring too many soap performers.   Cady has been awkward on the show thus far and Jon seems to have polarizing as well. I say focus on the local talent and giving those people a job and exposure.. and leave the P & G soap opera performers in the past.
    • Who do you think would be good for the show among the ATWT/GL cast?
