Reading that Scott McKinsey (Bev's son) will be at the chat about his mother made me smile.

Same here. Didn't he get his start directing on GL when Bev was still there?

This was a nice interview. Missed Mark Derwin’s presence but it was still a nice listen. The reverence is real.

Hey everyone, I have news! Someone was kind enough to reach out to me via email regarding the September 1993 episode I was looking for - the community pulled through again!

My way of giving back is that I've created a GL folder in the Y&R/B&B vault! If you're not familiar, access details are in my signature. That being said, I will be much less involved in contributing as I'm not nearly as tuned into GL as I am Y&R/B&B. I also had concerns that the 5TB storage limit might prove to be challenging - however, I'll continue to monitor the storage room. I'll separate the vaults when the time is necessary.

Please keep the same folder structure as the Y&R/B&B folders and organize by decade, year, and if necessary, month.

Happy uploading everyone!

The Beverlee McKinsey tribute was lovely. My only complaint is that it was too short. I can hardly wait to read her bio that's currently being written.

Did another GL YouTube account get removed? I can’t find munecojim’s videos anymore :(

I read that munecojim is now gone and Bob TV is gone again too. So is ClassicOLTL.

I don't know what's happening. I find it hard to believe P&G suddenly cares about their soaps. Is this another type of crackdown from Youtube?

Old episodes of GL, AWATWT, etc. are the main thing that has kept me going in recent years with the soap landscape such a wasteland. That and the excitement of knowing something new may be uploaded somewhere. Now people are going to be much more scared to put up any content. We are given so little to enjoy these days but corporations want to squeeze out every last drop.

AddieCate mentioned in another thread it was music issues that made the channel shut down. So that may have been the reason, which stinks.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe ANYONE can report copyrighted videos on Youtube, not just the owner of the copyright.  And I think most of these reports are just normal people who get angry or are just vindictive in general.  There are also copyright-nazis out there, who are just normal people who take it upon themselves to police music and other types of copyrights.  So it's not necessarily P&G or other copyright owners causing these shut-downs and removal of episodes.

I also find it difficult to believe that P&G suddenly care about these shows.

I'm really starting to get suspicious. Part of me is starting to wonder if this isn't some type of Machiavellian strategy to him up interest in buying videos on the interwebs among

soap afficionados and collectors.

One thing about being a soap fan has been clear for many years--your loyalty as a fan will never be rewarded.

Also, as much as I have been enjoying some of these reunion live streams, I have to wonder if the mention of songs and highlighting clips that contain pop songs (e.g. showing a scene btw "Lujack" and "Beth" set to the song "Almost Paradise") during these live streams might be setting off some type of trigger. Just wild speculation on my part.
