Members DRW50
I don't think they're going to get above 1.6 or 1.7 for quite some time. Considering the time slot issues, that's not the worst, and they do have a cheaper budget now which might help keep the show on the air. But I know that's probably not enough to keep the show on the air, unless P&G and CBS become very patient. I think the ABC soaps are probably the most disappointing, considering they have better timeslots and more promotion.

Members rangethatrover
I'm just a whiner. Its just embarrassing. I take ratings too seriously. But very soon OLTL will be known as tv's lowest rated soap opera. And I am sorry, but I can think of 3-4 other shows that deserve that title a hell of alot more. And its losing more and more of AMC's lead in whereas it used to build on it slightly. It now TIES ATWT in 18-49. (ATWT was never an 18-49 performer, OLTL used to kick its ass) The show doesn't do well in even one of the categories. And Ron is far from perfect, and he could use a female co-headwriter- but I swear to god if we get Passanante or ANY of the "revolving 20"- it will be the end. Members rangethatrover
I don't watch that neon lit trainwreck but based on the term "Zeese" can you blame them? That word is awesome. Its so much better than Zendall!!! I am hoping that the Z in both is the same person otherwise I have made no sense.
Members marceline
The "revolving 20" are the real problem. Soaps need fresh blood on all levels. Again, I wish someone would try a new soap.
Members rangethatrover
And another thing- if Days can get a 2.2 or 2.3 now, this show could hit a 2.5 or 2.6 this summer.
Members Soapsuds
That won't happen. Soaps drop during the summer months. People are out and about in the nice warm weather.
Members DRW50
You should get people to write letters to P&G and CBS asking them to save Guiding Light. Then OLTL will still have a chance. I think the stories RC built up over the past year have morphed into very confused or not very pleasant tales which didn't have the right payoff for what viewers were expecting. Once those stories end and new stories begin, ratings will probably go up.
Members dragonflies
Given just about every show dropped in ratings on Friday, how do you explain that? Yet they gained 150 some thousand viewers

Members NYC123
Sad that GL is only about 200,000 viewers from OLTL. I think OLTL is good right now. What's happening???? It's really nice to see that big bump is 18-34 and 18-49 for AMC.
