For DAYS, the cynic in me says its Richard Culliton gone. However, Tomlin & Whitesell edged out Jodie Scholz, so that just leaves Cydney Kelly as the sole Hogan Sheffer survivor on the soap. So it may be her meaning all traces of Sheffer are gone. It would also mean no more female SWs on the soap, which strikes me as odd.

If I could pick one SW to get rid of, I'd go for John Newman and his B**tch, Sl*t, wh**e tourette's syndrome induced scripts.

For the in writer, I'm guessing either an SuBe or OLTL alum like Michelle Poteet Lisanti (sp.). Maybe we could luck out and get Lorraine Broderick but given her history with the show, I doubt it...

Here are my guesses:

DAYS Writer OUT: Cydney Kelley

DAYS Writer IN: Michelle Poteet Lisanti

OLTL Writer OUT: Michelle Poteet Lisanti

OLTL Writer IN: Karen Lewis

Y&R Writer OUT: Tom Casiello (You know the rule, folks: "Last hired, first fired.")

Aw thanks. I think that Newman is just lazy and opts for profanity rather than intelligent dialogue that *might* appear well thought out. The weird part is that his mommy (Fran Myers) edits his scripts, so she seems to be ok with that. Or maybe she just washes his mouth out with soap afterwards lol.

I kind of got the impression that Beall laboured for a long time to make her scripts sound "cool" and natural (leading them to be the exact opposite - her scripts seemed false or laboured. Yes, laboured is the right word.)

Y&R: Mike Cohen out? I doubt they'd let any of the writers go that were there for a longer time. Since it's not Zimmerman or Casiello, it's got to be Cohen, or Lisa Connor.

Of course she is. She's writing 3-4 episodes a month on average.

It's also good she's back at DAYS, I think. Not that DAYS ever had brilliant scripts back then, but I did enjoy her (and Mike Cohen's) work.

Correct! So this leaves Cydney Kelly has the only Sheffer holdover.

Correct!

She's gonna be writing breakdowns. I thought for sure when she would eventually join DAYS it would be for scripts since DAYS only has 4 SWs. But of course they have the workhorse, Richard Culliton, who can just crank out scripts - 7 in March and 8 in April. So I guess they don't need a 5th SW. LOL

Well, that leaves the "OLTL Writer In". And so far, all we know is that she has been writing since "at least the '80's," per Toups.

Man, I wish it were Nancy Curlee; but it's probably someone like (N.) Gail Lawrence.

    • Is the set for Lulu's new house an updated version of the set used for the childhood home of Luke, Bobbie and Pat Spencer?
    • I feel like AMC would be the easiest of their soaps to revive but a reboot seems cursed at this point. I wish we had more insight on what was pitched for the primetime reboot as well as these movies. That would give us a better idea of why it keeps getting shot down.
    • Mansion of the Damned sure is a "talkative" horror movie.  In the past when I've watched those episodes, I was paying attention to The Edge of Night characters and not really zeroing in on the rehearsals/blocking/filming of the actual movie.  This time I've been following the plot of Mansion of the Damned pretty closely, and all I can say is Hester Atherton and Nicholas Harriman are about the most chit-chatty Witch and Devil I've ever heard in my life!
    • Ashley and Derek have been so isolated that I need the show to develop something, anything to justify their presence. It's not that I think Joey being her father will be the greatest story ever told but at least it would be something and connect her to more characters. I just need the show to move forward with them. Out of all the characters, these are the only two with no storyline/development. We have recurring characters who are better used with less screentime. If the show is going to keep them on contract they need to do something with them.
    • I never thought I'd say it, but SC is B&B's best male actor - by far. SK is next. Has there ever been a US soap that has so much female talent surrounding by Himbos? KKL, JMW, HT, KB, AN, RB could be/have been leading ladies on any other soap. Even the secondary females are the ones who carry their scenes. It's been rare periods when B&B actually had a few solid male cast members. JMW really did a great job in the scenes with AN. Considering everything we've witnessed the past couple of years with Steffy/Hope, I thought reveal may ring hollow. JMW proved me wrong. No doubt this is Emmy material.
    • You won't even accept a minute cameo from Ms Marcil herself so she can collect her cheque?
    • Which has also slowed down from 100 pages a day, but I digress.

Yeah. When even I am getting annoyed with it (and still need to catch up on DAYS new team...two weeks behind now grrr) enough to take a break...and B&B holds my interest more for a show where nothing is going on...it's a BAD sign.   Seriously thinking about that break until

Then we go from there. I just can't believe JG just went and lost all the momentum that was built up over the last month. And during May Sweeps, too? No, ma'am.
    • Works for me!!! Just the back of some brunettes head and a hug lol on the Island And also, I like how it's brand new info Mo was good at his job in the 90's.  That's pretty much the entire reason he's still on the show.
    • I recently edited an older episode to do a Denise Alexander edit but Mo was in scenes & I had forgotten that back then he was actually good at his job.  The contrast with today is well alarming.
