I hope they don't go the easy route and kill Kush off. I'm sorry but UK soaps (on all fronts) have been on a straight nonstop killing spree since 2006. It's like a funk they've all been in. Long do I miss when characters would just get into a black cab and leave the Square, Street, or Village. I've become numb to characters leaving in a coffin.

It hasn't been confirmed, but all hints point to him definitely dying, unfortunately and stupidly.

😑

And I am assuming that this'll be around Xmas or the New Years?

No. Not until late next year. Kind of like Ashley in Emmerdale.

Thanks for clarifying.

I just pray they don't kill him. If his current story is a gambling story, I think it'd be more compelling to see him lose all his money and leave town a wreck needing to start fresh.

Kate Oates has form for producing long-running deaths. Remember, it was her who started the Ashley Thomas Dementia storyline in Emmerdale (though it was Iain MacLeod who took it over and concluded it), and Aiden Connor’s depression and suicide in Coronation Street.

And as we’ve seen, her day-to-day Executive Producer, Jon Sen, prefers long-form storytelling. At the risk of repeating myself, he apparently has story planned up to Christmas/New Year 2021/22.

I fully expect Kush to die, especially since the other long-planned exit made a point of the door being left open for the character to return.

I could be wrong about Kush exiting in late 2021. It'll definitely be next year, just don't know when exactly.

The thing with Jon Sen is, he doesn't have story plans, he has ideas where he then plots a series of contrivances to get to, and he does it very mediocrely.

Kate Oates did a terrible job with the Aidan story and likely would have done a terrible job with Ashley's too. She is overrated and overextended.

Where do you think she went wrong with the Aidan storyline? I go back and forth on it myself sometimes.

Terrible aftermath, with the factory war and that ghoulish DVD of him in the hospital that convinced Alya to give the factory back.

Why have they axed Kush? There are so many characters who should go before him. They always axe the good characters. They always wasted his character. How long before Ruby, Dotty and Bobby get axed?

We are supposed to care for poor Mick being abused at 12 by his social worker? Danny Dyer is such a bad actor that I can't rely for a bit.

Kathy lying about her age in a date was very insulting to Gillian Taylforth.

Except for the Gray killing Chantelle storyline, the show is awfully bad. Oh and of course, Phil Mitchell will get his hands on the kid he had with Denise...
