This whole Brad/katie/Janet/One Day Player story sucks ass! Now a cop(jack) is paying off the guy to make the charges go away. <_< [!@#$%^&*] writing from Goutman and Pissant. Who the hell wants to see this kind of story on air??...Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

^^^Hush your mouths! Jack doesn't even like Janet. Janet clearly is after Bradley. And to add to the indignity of not seeing Jack in forever, today's he's palling around with Katie, and giving looks some will interpret as pining away for his brother's wife. (It's guilt, people. GUILT.)

Chris is an A*SSHAT. I'm now firmly an Ali/Aaron luvah.

OMG, Kim and Bob had a friggin' scene together? Color me happy. (BTW...how faked out was everyone? I was sure we'd see Nuke today.)

Katie and her latest quest to save Brad? *Eyeroll* Why couldn't Janet just threaten to press charges against Bud...he did push his way into her room and throw her around like a rag doll, even if he didn't hit her! But nnnooo.... St. Katieums needs to haul Jack around and pay Bud off. (Although the cracks he made about her televised wedding? PRICELESS!!)

I'm not digging the Parker/Liberty stuff. It is way too flirty. And I don't care if I sound like an old schoolmarm.

I actually like Parker and Liberty. Not going to bring out any heavy drama, but for me it's fun to watch, and I don't get that otherwise with ATWT.

Yea, I totally thought we were going to get forced fed more bad stereotypes with Nuke. Score on that.

You know, I was actually very indifferent to it all with Allison, but she's impressed me this week to where I'm with ya on the Allison and Aaron, totally.

The only story that has promise right now is Allison and Chris. It's too bad there is only 2 other Stewarts in town....Emily and Susan. If Goutman would have thought this thru.....He would have brought in some Stewarts back into the canvas before starting this story. But nope we get likes of Sophie and Ameera.

Do you honestly think it would be any diff the other way around? If Luke got with Kevin they would have some story? This is a plot driven show. The people are interchangeable. It wouldnt have matterd. The only reason it was better told was because it didnt last long.

I feel bad for the actresses playing Sophie and Ameera, they got hosed with these roles. However, I'm more in favor of bringing on some fresh, NEW characters to Oakdale. With no ties to anyone whatsoever. Oakie's getting a little too incestuous for my tastes. You can't swing a cat without hitting an old lover anymore.

You're right, the characters are completely interchangeable. That's why they thought they could go through months of buildup with Luke and Kevin, drop that like a ton of bricks for a couple of months, then just pick it up with Noah. The characters are totally interchangeable to the writers and that's why I won't back Noah and Luke anymore. As far as storylines go, I'm sure we would have been fed some crap for Luke and Kevin as well, had that been the path taken, but at least that crap would have had some reasonable backstory behind it. I don't understand why Luke doesn't wake the eff up and realize that he could do soooo much better than Noah and his psychotic daddy. Oh yeah, TIIC (and I'm not talking about TPTB, mind you) won't let that happen.

Nice to see some folks hopping on the Ali/Aaron train! I've been a-chuggin' on it since they both came back last year. They just work for me, for some reason. They always have, even back in the Dunphy days. Chris is an ass, but for some reason, I still like him. He rubs me the wrong way, but I get vibes from him that tell me not to automatically hate him. Then I realize it's ATWT and that everything's one-dimensional.

Awesome figure of speech LOL

My problem with Sofie mainly comes from the fact that I had tuned out of the show for three or four weeks, then out of the blue, when I tune back in, everybody's talking about her and her baby. Will, Gwen, Barbara, Iris, this creepy Cole guy with weird hair...they were all up in Sofie's fries. So, my WTF face was in good use as I tried to figure out why she was so special. I still haven't figured that out.

Ameera's character is just a stupid part of a stupid storyline.

Well the problem is Nuke is the buzz couple. ATWT made sure of that in various ways. If you break them up...all hell will break loose. It's sad Luke is settling for Noah. Noah is a drag who doesnt know what he wants. If it's not Kevin who Luke turns to.....find someone new for him.

I like the Ali/Chris/Aaron triangle. Wouldnt it be funny that Chris was so sexually frustrated that he hits on Aaron and they slept together. Oh my dirty mind.

about it I think Jan is a fine supporting part for a solid daytime vet (probably someone from the P&G soaps), as opposed to someone from the production location who is clearly cheaper. Which seems to govern some casting. I get the rationale, but I would start going through the ATWT/GL, etc. rolodex myself.
    • I dont mind Jan. She's good in the minor capacity she is used.
    • tbqh I don't care about Jan, I don't care about Ashley and I think Jon Lindstrom as Joey is an acquired taste. Jon is a great actor but certain things are in his zone and then some are not. Some days I find Joey credible and compelling, but the stuff with him hanging around the Golden Corral, grumbling about Doug and bitching at Randy is not amazing. If he had material on par with what MVJ wrote for Ryan/Kevin on GH back in the day it'd be a different story. I do think he has real chemistry with Vanessa, which is in large part due to MVJ clearly molding that character (and hiring an appropriate actor) in the Lucy Coe vein when she reinvented Lucy in the '90s as well. But I am not here to spend 6+ months watching Jon glower a lot (which is what he's doing half the time to carry weak story) and make more vague dire pronouncements while Jen Jacob gets flustered and weepy over "Daddy" or whatever would come of that storyline. Putting them together sounds like a recipe for doom to me. But I may be in the minority on that.
    • I know this will never happen. But... Halle Berry as Dani Dupree(BTG). She would rock this role, it's in her wheelhouse.
    • When I see how bad the Ashley/Derek scenes are, I know there must be a larger purpose and Joey being her father is the thing that makes the most sense.  My take on it is that Ashley knows Joey is her father but doesn't know Joey. Maybe he was there when she was a child or just not around at all but I believe Jan when she says she didn't lie to her daughter about who her father was. Maybe she left him when she discovered his dangerous lifestyle.  I do think they could really jump start the character of Ashley if they hurry and do this. Jan is a great character and her scenes with Ashley have been helpful. This would further integrate Ashley into the canvas and give her something dramatic to do. With her working at the hospital along with Doug, it could lead to complications if she learns Doug is involved with her father. I just need is sooner rather than later because Derek is tanking her character. I need a distraction.

    • The stories are awful. I'm not enjoying any of them. All I'm left with is Sally in a plastic dress.
