He sure does!

It was a great interview. I'm looking forward to see what Ron has planned.

Some quotes I found interesting:

About Ramsey: "Now, since I was not here, he has his finger in every pie in Llanview, which could be a little Spencer-ish."

About Adriana: "I sort of love the bitchy Adriana, but it came out of nowhere for me."

About Blair: "I was worried about Blair the past couple of months. She seemed a bit of a doormat, and that's not Blair. May sweeps starts off with her starting to stand up and be the Blair we know and love."

About John/Talia/Antonio: "I was kind of over that story."

About Dorian/Langston: "Another thing I've seen lacking on screen is Dorian's relationship to Langston, which I think people really like. I don't think I've seen a scene between the two of them in two months. So we're going to make a point about it."

About Nash/Jessica/Sarah/Cris: "I found some of that strange, this flirtineess with Sarah.

"

About February Sweeps: "I had big plans for Miles in February at the ball that was all connected to Allison's secret. The ball was written by us right before the strike and then that whole week was basically rewritten after we left. Allison was not supposed to go into a coma. Allison's DVD was not going to break. It was going to play and it was going to affect seven or eight people on the canvas. Unfortunately other decisions were made."

I didn't read the interview, but someone here posted snippets of it. Evidently, Carruthers took him into the writers room to personally meet Babs & Jimbo. Agreed that something has changed behind the scenes. Whether Agnes is tweaking things, which is very, very likely, or Walsh is more involved, something has changed for the better. The show, barring the Ryan crapfest, has been pretty watchable of late, and this is not Babs & Jimbo's doing.

    • The fact that there's so little action in the Y&R threads whereas I can barely keep up with the Beyond the Gates threads says a lot right there.
    • Im convinced that had Karen Huger not been in jail, Anastasia was meant to be her recurring role

    • I think Dani cares about her sister, but I agree with you. She's using this whole mess to be heard and make herself feel better. I wish Ted and Eva told her to fck off. I had to laugh when Dani commented on her and Anita confronting Ted. She acted as if they destroyed him. That's not what I saw. Dani has been dialed back from those first weeks, but I can't say she's likable. As long as she's throwing shade at Eva for her work as a hairstylist -- while ignoring that she did nothing except eat celery sticks and walk the runway -- she can kiss off. Barely tolerable, and Lindstrom is terrible in the role. I don't find him scary at all, and his money laundering plan is stupid as hell. I gagged when he texted Vanessa to ask if she was thinking about him. That's throw up time.   I just don't see how that makes Ashley any more interesting. And are we really asking for another storyline where a father connects with his adult daughter? I know there's no direct parallel to Eva's story, but come on. If you're in the minority, I'll join you. I have zero interest in any of that. -- I still fail to see Nicole and Vanessa as best friends. Nicole is grounded and stable and responsible, and Vanessa is not. It made more sense to have Dani and Vanessa being close. -- Ashley and Derek were actually OK today. I feel sorry for the actors, honestly, because they've been given nothing. It's crazy, because so much of the rest of the show is firing on all cylinders.
    • Same. But given how the writers like to have her have good moments and bad moments...and Dani has been background as of late...it's about time she had some bad moments.
    • I don’t even know why you responded to the bait.
    • I only watch for Sharon and she’s barely on. The only good thing going at the moment is Jack and Diane scenes and they’ve made Diane such a wuss lately which is making that unbearable to watch too
    • I feel like Earl Hamner and his crew brought in Richard* BECAUSE they knew almost right away that Robert Foxworth was so dull as Chase.  At any event, Richard, IMO, proved to be much more interesting as Angela's chief adversary. (*Or brought him back, depending on whether we're including the original "Vintage Years" pilot).
