Members Cat Posted March 4, 2008 Members Share Posted March 4, 2008 Spooky! Yesterday I was getting into some old, classic episodes of General Hospital... Guiding Light... Loving. I picked the episodes at random, just cause I was bored. Each one turned out to have been written by Douglas Marland. The quality was outstanding. And by quality I don't mean production values (which were pretty simple), I mean the acting and dialogue was such that it didn't feel like "acting" or "dialogue." It felt so organic that I was swept along in the story and the characters. It was pretty hard watching today's soaps after that. Will definitely be checking out this week-long celebration. I always assumed that when he left GL in 82, he left to create Loving and then wrote the first year of that show before going over to ATWT in 1985.
