I went to the premier on friday to see it and it was simply amazing movie. Saw Franchise is going to be one of the best ever. Here is a brief summary of what happens. I RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE 10/10

Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. In the wake of Detective Kerry's murder, two FBI profilers and veteran Detective Hoffman try to piece all of the clues together to find SWAT Commander Rigg before it's too late. Along the way, lots of details about Jigsaw's past are discovered, and his ex-wife, Jill becomes a potential suspect.

Tobin Bell once again delivers a breathtaking performance as the newest icon of horror with his deep, distinctive voice and great acting chops. He really makes each Saw movie just that much better, and this time is no exception. He is given lots of screen time in this installment, and it's all used to flesh out the very interesting backstory of Jigsaw, including his very first trap. Lyriq Bent is quite likable as the lead character, and brings just the right amount of likability and charisma to Rigg. I personally think he has a big career ahead of him. Donnie Wahlberg plays Detective Matthews so well, as if he is just so used to his character after being in three Saw films. He might have incredibly limited screen time, but he does a magnificent job. All of the actors and actresses contribute greatly to make this movie how great it is.

The entire Saw franchise just works so perfectly as a whole, especially when you watch all of the films back-to-back. Everything connects so well, and the tiny plot holes that are scattered throughout will no doubt be answered in Saw V or Saw VI. The quality of these films has still not wavered at all yet, which is extremely rare to find in a series that goes over three films. The fourth movie is usually when you start hitting all sorts of bumps and mistakes everywhere, but it's certainly not the case with Saw IV.

As always, the traps and the gore in the Saw movies are, for many fans, the most important part, and this film is no exception. Didn't think it could get any gorier than Saw III? Saw IV begs to differ. Knives, scalp pulling, electrocution, and spears are only a taste of the horrors that plague some of the characters; my personal favorite was a trap that involved lots of ice. Fans of the franchise have also come to expect a certain quality about the twists in the movie, and there are certainly plenty here. There is no lack of shocks or scares, and when it comes to the twists and turns, they just keep splendidly piling on. While the ending of the original Saw still remains one of the best twist endings in all of modern film, Saw IV's shocking conclusion really stays with you and leaves you shivering in anticipation for the moment when Saw V will finally be in theaters, which feels like so very far away.

i recommend this movie, 10/10. SAW 5 AND 6 ARE ON THERE WAY BABY, CANT WAIT

I *love* horror and have a strong stomach for gore but I just really don't get or see the appeal in these torture porn movies that are still quite big at th ebox office and I can't wait for the trend (as it always does with horror) to move in another direction. They really leave me feeling pretty uncomfortable with humanity (I know that osund slieka lot of talk but... it's true--I feel less scared and more depressed after watchign them--they're nto a "fun high" the way I get from the best scary movies). I'm not condemning people for liking them--I just don't get the appeal. That said out of the 5 or so I've seen the Saws are prob the best of the subgenre...

I love the saw movies. I love that he puts these people who have done bad things and with craptastic lifes in these situations and make them want to have the will to live. but of course most do die as i want it in my horror movies.

im not saying what he does is right, but its nice to see not the innocent teenagers getting slashed for once.

i also LOVED hostel. but hostel 2 not so much.
