ITA with most of the above and was happy to see the preview scene between Steve and EJ was hype and not how it played out. The way it was done wasn't offensive and Steve wasn't running his mouth (which is how the preview made it look). Wonder if the conversation with Steve and Kayla about how real the blood on his shirt looked was forshadowing. Regardless love both of them and always have.

The thought of Shawn joining the Salem PD is actually a bit frightening -- 3 bumbling Brady's on the force. I don't know what to even think of that except to shake my head and laugh. Granted Shawn needs a career and police work does run in the family, but these guys don't do so great as is and tend to mess up the majority of their plans. The whole crime scene situation just highlights how things tend to be done.

Only part that doesn't fit for me is EJ being directly involved in brainwashing Steve - triggering him yes, but not the initial mainly based on the fact a 15 year old is highly unlikely to look like EJ does today. I do think Steve hit it right when he said Stefano was responsible for it, and the more I think about it, it was strange to hear Stefano calling Steve a soldier right in front of Bo and Roman. That combined with EJ's comment to Roman just come off very un-DiMera.

Did Bradbury work with Sheffer before? I really don't like her writing and it seems (to me) that the days she writes are weaker than the others; plus she seems off on many of the characters (the ping pong personality thing).

No, they don't share any blood. Steve and Kayla took street orphans Frankie and Max in when they were younger. (Frankie was a teen-ager. Max was a little kid.) After Steve died, and Kayla left town with newborn Stephanie, Frankie and Max were legally adopted by Shawn and Caroline. (to make a long story short)

Close. Steve and Kayla never actually took them in as they weren't really a couple yet, although the boys did hide out at Steve's place some. The Frankie/Max story was really the first storyline S&K were given together after he'd been paid to stalk her; it was used as a chance for Kayla to learn more about Steve's past as an abandoned/abused child. S&K found the boys living on the streets and were at odds over how to help them. Kayla wanted to contact social services, Steve wanted to help them without involving the system because he knew they'd be split up. Eventually (after social services got involved and did split the boys up), Kayla talked her parents into being foster parents for the boys but S&K both stayed very close to them, especially Steve. The Bradys adopted them about a year later, I think, before S&K were even married.

One thing that really bothered my about the Bo and Shawn talk - Bo was talking about all of the worry Belle would have to go through and compared to how Hope would kiss him good bye in the morning and wonder if he would be coming back, etc. WTH, Hope was (is?) also a cop - even before Bo was. It would have been interesting to have Bo talk in the first person how *he* would have to worry when Hope when off to work.

    • Is the set for Lulu's new house an updated version of the set used for the childhood home of Luke, Bobbie and Pat Spencer?
    • I feel like AMC would be the easiest of their soaps to revive but a reboot seems cursed at this point. I wish we had more insight on what was pitched for the primetime reboot as well as these movies. That would give us a better idea of why it keeps getting shot down.
    • Mansion of the Damned sure is a "talkative" horror movie.  In the past when I've watched those episodes, I was paying attention to The Edge of Night characters and not really zeroing in on the rehearsals/blocking/filming of the actual movie.  This time I've been following the plot of Mansion of the Damned pretty closely, and all I can say is Hester Atherton and Nicholas Harriman are about the most chit-chatty Witch and Devil I've ever heard in my life!
    • Ashley and Derek have been so isolated that I need the show to develop something, anything to justify their presence. It's not that I think Joey being her father will be the greatest story ever told but at least it would be something and connect her to more characters. I just need the show to move forward with them. Out of all the characters, these are the only two with no storyline/development. We have recurring characters who are better used with less screentime. If the show is going to keep them on contract they need to do something with them.
    • I never thought I'd say it, but SC is B&B's best male actor - by far. SK is next. Has there ever been a US soap that has so much female talent surrounding by Himbos? KKL, JMW, HT, KB, AN, RB could be/have been leading ladies on any other soap. Even the secondary females are the ones who carry their scenes. It's been rare periods when B&B actually had a few solid male cast members. JMW really did a great job in the scenes with AN. Considering everything we've witnessed the past couple of years with Steffy/Hope, I thought reveal may ring hollow. JMW proved me wrong. No doubt this is Emmy material.
    • You won't even accept a minute cameo from Ms Marcil herself so she can collect her cheque?
    • Which has also slowed down from 100 pages a day, but I digress.

Yeah. When even I am getting annoyed with it (and still need to catch up on DAYS new team...two weeks behind now grrr) enough to take a break...and B&B holds my interest more for a show where nothing is going on...it's a BAD sign.   Seriously thinking about that break until

Then we go from there. I just can't believe JG just went and lost all the momentum that was built up over the last month. And during May Sweeps, too? No, ma'am.
    • Works for me!!! Just the back of some brunettes head and a hug lol on the Island And also, I like how it's brand new info Mo was good at his job in the 90's.  That's pretty much the entire reason he's still on the show.
    • I recently edited an older episode to do a Denise Alexander edit but Mo was in scenes & I had forgotten that back then he was actually good at his job.  The contrast with today is well alarming.
