The men's semifinals got a 1.0 rating, with more than 1.2 million watching.  The men's final between Novak Djokovic and Juan Martin del Potro drew in 2,065,000 viewers.

The final was higher than last year 1.5 million viewers and 0.95 HH rating where Nadal played against Kevin Anderson. Keep KA away from major finals...LOL....he is awful for ratings.

The women's final attracted 3,101,000 viewers with a 2.4 HH rating.....if I am correct it peaked at 2.9.....

Unless it’s Serena or Venus, I think fans reasonably tune in for what looks like a competitive match with a contrast in styles, which is why Fedal and Fed/Djokovic matches do well. I remember the Federer/Soderling 2009 French Open final tanked in the ratings even though it was Fed’s first (and to date only) RG title.

Someone hacked Berdych and Kokkinakis’s Instagram accounts and posted all sorts of racist and bizarre photos last night. They’ve been restored. Clearly it was the same guy as the posts were pushing people to follow this strange account.

In other news: Venus is hilarious. 😂😂😂

What happened to Berdych and Kokkinakis is exactly why I ask what happened to the ATP and WTA Media training?

Most hacks happened because of weak passwords or the very unfortunate action of clicking on an infected link, usually, a link sent unwittingly by a someone in the person's own list of contacts.

Media training can help (if not entirely prevent) these unfortunate incidents.

Also help players to protect themselves from online abuse and harassment, maybe even raise the issue with the social media companies about ways to help in the process (also, the ITF may want to stop making sponsorships with betting companies, but that's a whole entire conversation).

True.  Berdych clearly has the resources but I was thinking about the younger pros who are just starting out and may not have the resources.  I'm not even sure that Kokkinakis is far enough along in his career to hire media people to help him.

The ITF/ATP/WTA should avail themselves as a resource to players, in particular the ATP, which has a more sophisticated social media outfit.
