I reallly enjoyed Friday's show. Actually, I enjoyed all week.

I thought the end scenes with Spencer and Blair going over the roof was fantastic. It actually looked real and not corney like it would on most soaps. The fight scenes between Todd and Spencer were also well done! I noticed a new director's name listed... good job!

Jessica was kind of annoying, but I surprisingly enjoyed the scenes between Layla and Nash. Its about time they gave him something different to do then repeat the same stupid lines each day.

Rehatching the Nora/Lindsay feud will be good. So will the murder of Spencer. But the only way that OLTL can truely become the best in my eyes is with Margaret lol.

I really love Jess and Nash together, but I hope it takes a good long while for them to find each other. I'd love to see Nash with Layla or even Blair for awhile. Todd has Evangeline lined up, but who is Blair's alternative? I think she and Nash could be hot.

I said I'd return for Nora no matter how bad the show is, so I guess this week will be it. Now I just hope they aren't lying about using her in a frontburner story and I hope it stars soon!

Until the give VIKI her own lead story, forget it. All the other soaps use their main Emmy winners, OL pushes Erika Slezak off to the side and she is on 1 day a week. That is pathetic and wrong. Also what happened to Viki and Clint getting together? They put Clint with Dorian, Viki's worst enemy, serving to break up David/Dorian and anger all the Viki fans since Viki still has no one in her life. Pathetic. Now they have HBS back, which is nice, but are they going to give all her airtime to the Bo/Nora/Lindsay and still give nothing to Viki? Sorry, but why can't the hack write for both? Until Viki gets lead story this show will suck, never mind the fact that the writing and dialogue is terrible.

I know a lot of people seem to hate OLTL right now, and others seem to down on it just because it is easy to do so, but OLTL has honestly not been THAT bad during Dena Highley's tenure. She has harmed the show a plenty and has done a lot of stupid things but otherwise she has been able to produce "Watchable" soap. I LOVE Todd and Blair and for the 2nd half of this year Todd and Blair have been rocking. Jess and Nash and Antonio are also becoming enjoyable, which is a big feat IMO since I could NEVER stand Antonio for YEARS.

The overdose of John and Nat is STILL a major problem. And the lack of use of other vets, like Nora and Viki, is still a problem. But otherwise I have really enjoyed OLTL for about all of December...

They did try to get Haskell back. They had her signed and then problems or something occurred with her pregnancy. They already had the role written and planned so had to recast.

Oh yeah? I had no clue!! It actually makes a lot of sense too, since Haskell was just on there what 2 years ago or a year ago, it was like, why are they re-casting her now?? I guess since they couldn't this is not a bad deal.

Okay I've watched Monday-Wednesday so far FFing all scenes with John and Cristian. It's not that bad, but I still hate Spencer and cannot wait for him to be gone. I will with Ridge that with Higley OLTL is not unwatchable, but it's very mediocre and lacks a vision. Her new characters are largely dull and played by terrible actors, the ensemble is not utilized which is very glaring because OLTL has one of the most talented casts out there. This used to be the forgotten stepchild of ABC which was always dependable for great soap!

I still hate nuMarty. Sorry, but they went from looking at Sarah Brown to this woman? It's an absolute joke. She was also dreadful and heavily panned when she replaced Lesli Kay on ATWT. Why they cast her is beyond me, but it fits with the mediocre casting of OLTL these days. Hell, that idiot Casting Director/EP picked MIKEY for Soap Star. 'nuff said!

I agree OLTl's cast is one of the most talented ensembles featuring 6 time emmy winner Slezak, and the great re-casts like Blair, Todd, Jessica and the last Kevin. However, they dropped the casting ball with Marty, Cole and Paige. Great acting can't save poor writing, anyone remember ETERNA??? Also they need to incorporate history into the writing and character interactions. Bring back Tina and her family who are very connected to Todd. Bring back Cassie and her family to flesh out the Krammer pressence. Where is Karen, Larry, Edwinia, Pat?? Once upon a time Vicki had these close friends as part of her life. Where is RJ??? He and Nora have been fighting an attraction for years. He can relate to Nash's situation because he lost a grandchild to Antonio. He can also empathize with Vincent on not being trusted. But more important, he has history with everyone and great chemistry with Lindsey and can act.

I'll take watching reruns of ETERNA over watching the present day episodes of Dena's. Michael Grande was a credible villain. Good story for Viki involving her youth and provided long term story for Clint, Megan, Sara etc. Nice use of Cord, Tina, Gabby who all worked well together especially Tina and Gabby and their friendship. There's nothing at all comperable on today's version of the show.

I also disagree that great acting can't save bad writing. DG and HT completely saved the disaster of May sweeps writing with Duke's death. Of course that's not OLTL's issue at present they have tons of bad acting and bad writing and nothing can save that.
