SOW Blind Item - Fired Vet is acting out!

Featured Replies

The wording suggests that A. the actor is still working on the show from which he was fired (which eliminates Vincent I.) and B. that it is someone everyone knows has been fired (which elimnates Walt, because nothing has been officially reported yet).

The only person I can think of then is Ted King.

Would SOW know for weeks that someone had been fired (for example, Walt Willey) and not report it?

SOW and the other rags will basically report what the networks tell them to report. Now we need to keep an eye out on who gets fired in the coming months.

It's not NM because he hasn't been fired. He was only out for two shows because of a family emergency. He is now back at work. It's not him.

Well according to what some are believing that it has to be someone who is still on there are not any options for men. The vets that have been announced are all women right now.

I just don't believe that some vet knows he is being fired in advance and it has not been reported by the magazines. This is not 10 years ago. The magazines know and report everything these days. And if Walt Willey or someone like that has been fired why would they even be holding it back. It didn't bother AMC to annouce about Julia Barr, so I don't think they would hold back for Walt Willey.

Many times stuff in the mags is not the most recent. The news sections and stuff are but some of the other stuff they usually work on for awhile. I still think it could have been somebody who recently left esp. since we don't have any current veteran men who have been fired. As many of us have said Nathaniel Marston was not fired. Vincent Irizarry, Billy Warlock, and Dan Gauthier were the most recent veteran men to leave their shows - so my bets are on one of them.

First, DruRock.......

I completely agree with your choices, I'm hoping that Trevor St. John gets a nod, also Tony Geary (even though he won last year).

Next, I'm hoping its Michael Easton! Anything to get joKIE off the screen and I hope they take CRINGE with them (Renee Elise Goldsberry's contact is up in March). Then maybe OLTL will let Natalie and Vega reunite and go happily into the sunset.

This could be a soap vet who was informed that he's been fired but the mags are unable to report it.

Maybe I'm WAY off-base but I immediately thought of Drake Hogestyn. When you hear the word "nice" and you hear the speculation that a "BIG" star from "Days" is going to be axed. We had that speculation last week or two weeks ago and then it died down. The only truly "nice" guy I can think of in daytime, one whom is a vet and whom all the cast would like, would be Drake.

I think the comment about using him on other shows eliminates anyone from Days since NBC doesn't have too many other shows.

I wonder if it's Paul Satterfied? I personally think any actor that screws Lyin Brian and ABC is OK. That network does its actors so lousy I don't know why any of them would want to work at another ABC soap. Also, it's no secret that Carolyn Hinsley's lips are firmly planted on OLTL's butt. Based on the tone of the blind item, I'd bet its an ABC soap and probably OLTL.

I would say Brody Hutzler. He was given plenty of notice and also sounded quite pissed when he spoke to the press. It's hard to tell if he's acting out since his acting sucks at the best of times.

However, the fact that NBC only has one other soap means it's unlikely to be one of their actors...although it's possible JER would hire him for Passions.

Brody can't possibly qualify as a vet though can he?

I think he's gotten more watchable since they finally decided if Patrick is a good guy or bad guy.

You're right, BJ. Somehow, I missed the vet part.
