December 11, 200619 yr Member Well, Today's show 12-11, starts off much the same as the past few weeks have been going, totally boring and zero balance at all. Today's storylines were, Craig, Barbara, Lucy, Paul, Meg, and the other storyline was Katie/Henry/Simon/Carly/Jack/Sage/V/Mike. And neither of them were that interesting at all. As usual I don't care to only watch two storylines a day, especially when they are the two most boring storylines currently on the show. Only good thing I guess I could say about today's show was there was plenty of Barbara, too bad it was mixed in the dumb never ending storyline of who is getting custody of Johnny. (Will someone please end this over 2 year long story already).
December 11, 200619 yr Member BORING. You know this show is really lucky that they've managed to keep their ratings pretty steady. If this were an ABC soap, it'd be reaching all-time lows by now. (not that they aren't already - but you get my point...lol)
December 11, 200619 yr Member It's sad when the Line of the Day goes to some unknown person not even shown onscreen! IMO, Line of the Day was Jill's (Sage's friend) mother, who calls out to Jill, "Tell Thyme to be sure and bring her stencils!" And Jill replies, "Her name is SAGE, not Thyme!!" And the mother says, "Sage, Thyme, whatever...." Other than that, it was a glorified snoozefest. God, I wish TPTB would give Trent Dawson his own SL and get him out of Matie/Carmon HELL!
December 11, 200619 yr Member I wouldn't ask "Could it get more boring?" if I were you. Because usually, when that question is asked... they usually answer. And the answer is never a good one.
December 11, 200619 yr Member Well I did find the show still on the boring side today, but found it much better than what we got last week. I actually enjoyed parts of today's show. So I will give at A for effort today. Barbara is always good, and Henry was good today too. And I just love Craig. The 3 of them always spice things up for me, and give me more enjoyment than normal. And even if the story is bad, I always do enjoy seeing Craig and Paul go at it. So if ranked them on a scale of 1 to 10 I would still only give them a 5 though. They're just mediocre sadly.
December 11, 200619 yr Member Sigh...it wasn't that bad. I liked the Craig/Paul stuff, *gulp* Lucy and Barb, and the Mike/Jack testosterone match. I was even disillusioned enough to hope today would be Simon-less when he didn't show up in the first act. And I not-so-secretly hope Carly is edging closer and closer to dumping Simon for good. And I disagree...the line of the day was Jack's. "I'm not here to get rid of guys sniffing after your wife!!" he tells Mike. *Giggle*...*snort*....*laughing until I puke*....as Fluffster is once again the woman hunting down Simon to punish him.
December 11, 200619 yr Member They only thing I'm looking forward to is that we are a couple of days closer of being free from Lucy. She annoys me so much!

Testoterone match was right. I had forgotten about it when I said what I liked. I kept waiting for them to whip them out and see who's was the biggest. LOL
December 12, 200619 yr Member OMG, this show has gotten so boring. You can't produce five hours of TV a week and only feature a few characters and keep it interesting. There are no rootable characters, the stories are repetitive and everyone is a criminal in one way or another (everyone with a storyline that is).
December 12, 200619 yr Member I actually enjoyed parts of today's show. Barbara is always good, And I just love Craig. And even if the story is bad, I always do enjoy seeing Craig and Paul go at it. I enjoyed Barbara as well. She is great in any scene she is in. I love NuCraig too. I actually enjoyed his scenes with Paul today. It was obvious who was controlling who. Sigh...it wasn't that bad. I liked the Mike/Jack testosterone match. And I disagree...the line of the day was Jack's. "I'm not here to get rid of guys sniffing after your wife!!" he tells Mike. *Giggle*...*snort*....*laughing Enoyed those scenes also. Testoterone match was right. I had forgotten about it when I said what I liked. I kept waiting for them to whip them out and see who's was the biggest. LOL LOL SteveFrame. That would have been interesting to see. There was so much sexual tension in that police station. I kept thinking they were about to strip naked and have passionate sex on Jack's desk.
December 12, 200619 yr Member I am dumbfounded at how fast and how thoroughly this show has gone off the rails. They had a great summer -- corny or not, the slasher story gave a lot of action to the younger set and several of the vets who had been languishing, as well as pulling in a lot of creative juice and buzz from the YouTube and Inturn marketing -- and the fall was shaping up pretty well, too. The ice storm and the ball were solid umbrella stories that propelled a bunch of stories forward. Then they fumbled, badly, on Hal's memorial, and ever since the end of the ball it's been a huge snoozefest with the same 3 stories going nowhere, or worse, going in preposterous directions. The Gwen/Will/Jade/Adam thing started too fast and feels shoved together rather than organic, the Meg/Paul/Craig/Dusty/Emily/Lucy is just boring and full of plotholes, and Carly/Simon/Katie/Mike had a lot of potential but has been ruined by making Simon and Carly flip-flop too much and have no rooting potential. Sadly, the two COULD have been intriguing -- the two "bad seeds" who tried to go straight for true love, but who find commonality and zest again by being bad together -- but the waffling destroyed that idea. All Simon and Carly do is veer from "breaking up" because she wants to be good, or the two of them celebrating with champagne their success/make-up/heist. Seriously, think about how many scenes since they started working on the building together have been about one of them ordering champagne? Heck, they STARTED because Carly ordered a bottle of champagne she couldn't afford and she needed to pay off her credit card bills. It's been variations on that same scene since then between them. What a waste. Anyhoo, now all the stories are stuck in a weird vicious circle, and they're all boring. How did it fall apart so fast?
December 12, 200619 yr Member LOL SteveFrame. That would have been interesting to see. There was so much sexual tension in that police station. I kept thinking they were about to strip naked and have passionate sex on Jack's desk. That would have been interesting to see too.
December 12, 200619 yr Author Member Well, just when I thought ATWT could not get any lower, I was proved wrong on Today's show 12-12, It's not that the show was more boring than normal, or the lack of balance as always, they were still there, but when Craig started talking about renaming that [!@#$%^&*] baby yet again, to the name of Craig Jr, I just could not believe that it could happen, that kid has had more names than anyone I have ever seen on a soap, Billy, JD, Rory, Johnny, and now Craig Jr. GMAFB. Anyway back to the show, today we got Gwen/Iris/Will/Jade/Adam, which was a total snore fest, followed by the never ending repetitive junk from Katie/Carly/Mike/Simon/Henry. And of course the Craig stuff that made me sick to my stomach. I keep on trying to find one good thing about any given show and it is getting harder by the show, but I guess Barbara will be my highlight again CZP made her scenes work no matter how boring they were. It was also nice to see Dallas for 10 seconds today. And what was up with all of the teddy bears in Craig's hotel room? I thought that was just a bit extreme
