December 3, 200619 yr Member I agree with Steve. Morgan's roles tend to be campy, but not always. The role I know her best as, Constance Weldon on "Flamingo Road," was nowhere near as campy as the other [!@#$%^&*]-villainesses on primetime soaps of that era (Alexis Carrington, I'm talking to you, dahling!), but she still proved to be quite the [!@#$%^&*] in only a matter of 38 episodes. Morgan would do good on any soap, IMO, but there are some that I just don't want her tangled up in right now. AMC, OLTL, GH, and PSNS need to get themselves together first before they pick up a name actress like Morgan.

If we have to wait for the abc soaps and Passions to get themselves together before they get somebody like Fairchild at the rate tptb are killing daytime soaps there might not many if any soaps for Morgan to appear on.In my opinion,Morgan's appearance any soap should be an improvement from what it was.In the long run if they get and want to keep an actress of Morgan's caliber around tptb need to seriously step up their game in the writing and production period.
December 3, 200619 yr Member Lol, I thought Beth was Brooke's little sister. Doesn't she have another one besides Donna? Becky maybe? Anyway, sure Fairchild may be able to play dramatic well. Any actress with so many years of talent has a variety of roles they can play. However, when you think of Morgan Fairchild, you think of camp. B&B would be the perfect soap for her to show up on if she decided to do Daytime.
December 3, 200619 yr Member Brooke has another sister named Katie, but I do agree that she'd be a great choice for Beth Logan. They should give that family a boost and do Logans vs Forrester. From what I've read the family sucked the first time, but with better actors it might be more exicitng.
December 3, 200619 yr Member Although I'd like to see Morgan Fairchild on B&B (or any other soap role for that matter), there's no way I could take her seriously as Beth Logan. She's as far removed from the original actresses that played Beth as you can possibly get (plain, kindly, brunette, working class). It's bad enough they've tinkered with the history by de-aging all the Logan kids. I'd give her a new role of her own. Now that Sally is unfortunately not a viable foil for the Forresters due to Darlene Conley's ill health, give Morgan Fairchild a fashion house of her own to go up against them with.
December 3, 200619 yr Member I never said Fairchild could ONLY play campy. I said that's what she MOSTLY plays. I have no doubt she could play a dramatic role very well, but that's probably not what most soaps would be looking at her for.

Producer, I would want Morgan Fairchild for a campy role because that's she's known for.
